HELP, I need help recovering from exhaustion from vacation!!!

My family and I went on this wonderful lovely lifetime, gift from God, trip to Israel. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves the majority of the time and it was quite an adventure packed trip. I did not get jet lag the entire trip. I expected to have the same occur coming back. I came back Tuesday July 3rd and set aside July 4th and 5th to "rest", to return to work Friday the 6th. However, hubby wanted to hurry and get laundry done which he did most of, I just did the folding and starting putting things away. Thurs. the 5th I cleaned all day in the heat cause we don't have air in the main part of the house--though we did have air in the car and places we stayed in Israel (thank God). I had been waking up about 3 or 4 am and not being able to get back to sleep. I came back to a full day of work Friday, backed up with things to the hilt from 2.5 weeks of being away and felt very stressed and started eating sugars and carbs galore, trying to get my energy up and my brain unfogged so of course the exact opposite happened. I went back to work early on Saturday, with still more and more to catchup on. I continued eating horrifically. I am in this vicious cycle. I'm afraid to weigh myself! I ran around sunday after church shopping and running errands instead of staying in the hot house, but exhausted myself some more, only to return back to a full load monday and again tuesday. Tuesday I woke at 3:30 and couldn't go back to sleep. I took a walk about 5:30 thinking maybe my body hates being i n my no window fluorescent lit tiny office and that air, and sunshine and movement would help me feel better. I started taking my natural liquid vitamins to see if that would help me. Last night I drank some wine, went to sleep maybe 9:30 and pretty much slept until the alarm went off at 5:00 I shut it off and hubby got ready quietly and left and I slept until 7:00 where I lavished myself with time to pray and do my bible study, shower and be off to work. I know this is a long novel, sorry. But I said all that to say. . . any suggestions on gaining my strength back. I've been doing research for my next round of hcg all over the place and hit some brick walls with ordering. maybe I just need to let my body recover first and that's why the doors keep closing. Thanks for letting me rant and for any input you may give.

I'm so sorry you are having a hard time transitioning back to real life with exhaustion. I hate the after part of vacation with a passion. I always rush rush rush to leave and try not to leave too much undone but then come back very behind in running my business. If you are struggling with extreme tiredness, please be good to yourself. Cut out the sugar and things you know don't help and make you feel worse. You know what they are! You can do it! It will help

If you can, take up eating Atkins induction style. It will detox you from the junk and provides many yummy food options that will help yor body recover its' reserves without being in 'diet mode' quite as hard as the protocol would. I'm sorry you've had a rough go of it, my vacations are always called 'trips', lest anyone thing I was even the slightest bit relaxed while gone!
