Thanks!

Last night was a little rough emotionally, but I managed to NOT call him crying in the middle of the night.

The tough part is that I know he knows he messed up and he would come back in a second if I would let him. But I won't. But just knowing that he would makes it tough not to let him come back.

But I'm trying to remind myself that life is about the lessons learned along the journey, and it was just an experience I had, and I think I'm lucky to know that I can love someone so deeply. So when the right guy comes along who really does deserve my love, then I know I will be happy.

ugh I totally just made myself emotional at work LOL dang

My TOM is finally leaving, so I think that PLUS the fact that I've been having almost no soda and I've been drinking lots and lots of water is the key here. So it's day 17 today and I've lost 10 pounds, although I'm only 3 below my preload weight. Once I hit 182, I'll have lost 50 pounds. :jump joy:

I think I will die of shock (hopefully not) when I get to 179. I haven't been in the 170's since I was... 13?
(pssst! Wait 'til you discover COLLAR BONES! I couldn't stop touching mine! And this last round? SHOULDER BLADES! It is TOTALLY weird to feel your shoulder blades hitting the back of a chair or a car seat! Btw, WTG! You are doing GREAT! )

YES! My collar bones have been out ever since I got under 200, but they become more pronounced every week. I saw my shoulder blades yesterday as I was wearing a very low back dress, but I'm excited for when I can feel them touching a chair lol :jump joy: My body type just seems to be heavier around my lower stomach, hips, thighs area. I have a super long body, and short legs. That's why my heels are like 5" high. Because of my hobbit legs. hahahaha

When I lay down, my stomach is almost completely flat. Which is soooo neat. But I'd like it to be flat when I'm standing up too, since I can't lay on my back for the rest of my life hhahahahaha

It's interesting how people's bodies are SO different. Someone who has long legs at my height would weigh a lot less than I do. I'm all body. Most people think by looking at me that I'm about 150 or 160.

Every time I start a round, my DH's aunt tells me not to! She thinks that my face gets too thin when I lose weight. I do end up getting too thin up top in order to get smaller on bottom. I am just built that way

I wish people would keep their opinions to themselves. Someone said I was going to look like a bobble head. I have huge hair that gets teased like crazy, so I think I will move to Texas so I fit in better. I just like big hair.

Yay! If the breakfast didn't affect the scale that's awesome! Great losses!

I was so stinkin' excited to hit the 170's, but then I had a week long stall at 181-182. It really sucked

YES...people at my T.O.P.S group are so amazed that I still weigh 221...

But I have 35-40 lbs. of excess skin which needs to be removed with a total lower body lift/thigh lipo & lift, etc. according to the plastic surgeon...so in actuality I would weigh about 180ish which would prolly be okay on me since I once weighed 411 lbs. I have researched and found that most super heavy people "grow" more bone mass due to having to build-up to support excess weight.

My ultimate goal with all the extra skin is 170...I got to 178 one time...everyone told me that I was too thin, but I was still 10-14's on bottom, but S/M on top...so hard to buy dresses I want to experience too thin for a while...lol

Me too. As a child of the 80's I have an excuse!

How tall are you, manders? I have a long torso and pretty short legs for my height--5'9". I've always been pretty proportionate, although I did tend to accumulate more in hips and thighs before lipo. Post-lipo, I just ended up with fat in places I never had it before!

Thanks manders We don't all have big hair...wish it was...I've lost so much through the years!! So funny to hear all the stereotypes about TX. BUt on the flip-side...I was California native...all my newer TX friends tell me that we are all "UPPITY"...whatever that means... I just tell them that TX is so far behind the times compared to Cali...we are really SLOW out here

Hi everyone! I've been checking out this site for awhile and finally decided it's time for some support. I'm on R2 VLCD1... I lost only about 10lbs on R1 and have about 15lbs left to lose. I went rogue the last few weeks of R1 and did alright as long as I didn't eat any carbs. Has anyone else had this experience? Thanks for your support!!!!

Welcome!

I would suggest NO rogue in this round, because you can lose much better sticking to protocol like glue. Time and again this bears itself out for many people. I hope this round goes better for you.

Re-post from the All Phases thread...

All this talk about interruptions... I am wondering about something. On a PI, the plan is always to eat P3 cleanly--no sugars, no starches. Does anyone have any thoughts on what the best course would be if you "cheat" on your PI and eat sugars or starches? Would it be better to call it a round and do a full P3 and a full P4 at that point or is going back to P2 after a PI "cheat" ok and can you be successful?

Hi, Dawn & Taryl, today is my VLCD#21. I started with 3x3, then went down to 3/2/2 at the beginning of the 2nd week because I started to feel super hungry even right after lunch/dinner. For the last 3 days, however, I was famished and weak, all I could think of was food, and more food. Last night I upped my pellet to 4, so the total for yesterday were 3/2/4 and I don't feel as weak this morning.

The good news is I am down -1.0 this morning Keep me motivated to stay in P2. Maybe I should stay with 3/2/2 today and see?

If I'm understand correctly, you're asking if you fail on your planned interruption and cheat, yes?

Then I would definitely advice continuing your P2 for a week or more afterward, to give your body better shot and stabilizing. But of course the most foolproof suggestion is to not cheat!

I honestly don't think hhCG works anyway, so I'm a terrible one to give advice on it! But you are your own science experiment. Mss with the amounts, give it a few days, see what happens. That's my best suggestion

I was going to say the same Sticking to protocol will help you lose best. Going rogue I am sure is what caused the slow losses.

I would also run back to P2 and continue on that for a couple of weeks. Get that weight gain back off. It comes off quickly if you do P2. Don't ask how I know

I should have caveated that, sorry Dawn! I do not think hhCG reliably resets the metabolism like rX does, and observationally have noticed much more backsliding and struggling with the protocol for hhCG users than rX users. Some of that may be correlated but not causative, as my own mother lost all her weight and has kept if off with hhCG. But I can't recommend the stuff to anyone based on what I have seen. Some users do just fine, many do poorly. For as iffy rX is, the recidivism rates post-protocol are noticeably lower among the groups I frequent. I don't think that is a coincidence but that is just my personal opinion!

I am a newbie and wanted to hop in this thread. I have few questions I'm hoping you seasoned pro's have answers too!

I did my loading last Friday and Saturday, so Sunday was my first VLCD. Would that be considered day one? I'm a bit confused about that. I also need to read up on what would be the best length of days to be on for my first round. Suggestions?

I weighed in at 219 post load, and was at 214 this morning. What do you suppose would be a realistic goal for my first round? I'm sticking pretty closely to protocol and have a mini goal of 20lbs (with plenty more to lose!)

Thanks ladies!

Welcome, VTmommy!

Your first day is the first very low calorie day (VLCD1). Length of round is personal preference, but no less than twenty effective doses of hCG+VLCD and no more than forty days of effective doses is the correct range. Most of us do longer first rounds and tend to shorten them up from there, either because we're tired of the VLCD or their bodies fare better with less time.

As for goals, set the most important one - to stay perfectly on plan no matter what, and put your best effort into every choice! The scale is beyond our control and takes care of itself, but the factor you CAN manage is your adherence. Stick to the protocol like glue and you WILL succeed. Women lose an average of a half pound per day by the end of the protocol, oftentimes with stalls or gains interspersed with larger losses throughout. It's all normal. But you may make yourself crazy setting pound related goals when your body may or may not lose in the fashion you want.

So. Do perfect protocol and you'll have an excellent round. I wouldn't be surprised if you dropped 15-25 pounds on a 30 day round, but nothing is guaranteed. This plan is very unforgiving to cheats and alterations so your best and most attainable goal is doing it 100%. Welcome aboard!

How tall are you, manders? I have a long torso and pretty short legs for my height--5'9". I've always been pretty proportionate, although I did tend to accumulate more in hips and thighs before lipo. Post-lipo, I just ended up with fat in places I never had it before!
I'm a hair under 5'8. I always have to layer all my shirts because regular tshirts just hit my belly button. very annoying. I also had to have special swimsuits made when I was a kid (i was a competitive swimmer).

It just occurred to me that I've never posted a full pic of myself. This was about 5 pounds ago.
