in phase 2 but need to stop losing

Hey All, my hubby did not do phase 3 last time when our household did hcg so now he is doing it again to drop the weight he regained. He is in phase 2 and needs to stop losing. I've doubled his protein and he's doubled his melba toast and he's still losing 2lbs a day (sickening isn't it) Phase 2 ends Monday but he absolutely does not need to loose anymore weight -- he's dropped 24 lbs and he really only wanted to lose 15. Thanks

do you all think that adding some fat (like whole eggs and butter, maybe dairy would be ok?)

It has been a while, but I seem to recall Dr. Simeons saying that you need to up calories for sure. I think fat would be fine. What a problem to have, right???

I'd go way up with the protein calories and add more fruit -- wish I had his problems, lol! Men can sometimes lose like gangbusters doing this.

Some people say adding fat causes problems with stabilizing -- so maybe hang with the p2 list until Monday since it is only a short time...?

Just curious, because I haven't read up on the issue of needing to stop losing, but I am wondering then, should he also stabilize at a lower weight than he is wanting to be? Wait until he complete 3 weeks and see where he is at that time?

Here are my two cents. I am one who can add carbs and while I do gain, it's nothing crazy. Being he is a guy, he could use this to his advantage, meaning once he is in P4 he can have more pounds to play with. For example, I tend to stabilize 5 pounds over LIW once I add carbs. If he wants to add carbs every once in awhile in P4 he can and not worry much, so instead of him having to do a CD once over 2 pounds he can use 5 pound or 7 or whatever he finds comfortable as his CD "window".
That's what I do and it works well for me. I would like Mini suggested add more calories but just stick to P2 foods only, not adding fats or anything until first day of P3.

Hope that helps!

I know that when I was in bootcamp Biz recommends that you up the fats when you are needing to include the extra calories. When I was at the end of the round, I would add in the 300 calories of fat and be OK. I loved it actually!! I would make a homemade dressing of mayo, mustard, sweetener and cayenne pepper. Best thing ever because I wanted a salad dressing so badly on P2!!!

Men I could only hope to have that problem

Thanks guys, Ill let you guys know what I end up doing. It wouldn't be so bad if he needed to lose weight but he's 6' and was only 190 before (he really didn't need to lose- he just liked being at 175-180. He got there in a week and continued to drop a couple lbs a day even though I pretty much doubled his calories, he's at 170 now. He's beginning to look sickly skinny to me. Our plan was to try and get him where he doesn't lose anymore and then get stable in P3 then gain some in p4 we'll see. I'm trying to decide what to feed him as he could realistically drop another 5 lbs by Monday morning I wish i had his problem when I did hhcg I stalled out for 10 days......... but that's a man for you
Sunday A group in our church bought in bulk when we did it last year and this was a bottle that had been stored in an air conditioned closet since then, It didn't have a manufacturer name, sorry

We ended up doubling hubby's protein and veggies as well as adding 4 whole eggs cooking In 1 tbs of butter. we did this for 3 days and he managed to only lose 1/2 a lb during that time He promises to stick to p3 and is so excited to have some dairy . Will keep you guys posted on if that seemed to cause stabilization problems.

We are 1 1/2 weeks into p3 and at this point adding some fat to hubby's diet during the last week of p2 did not seem to affect stabilization, yet. We will see if it changes his experience in p4 but as of right now he's good and is able to stay within his 2lb window
