HCG and ovarian cyst question
Hey Guys,
I'm brand new to this- really hoping to start on Monday with rx injections. I've been reading that you're not supposed to do rx injections when its your TOM, so here's my dilemma: I have a cyst on one of my ovaries at the moment, and it's totally messing with TOM! I missed last month and am not totally sure when it will start this time. My gyno doesn't seem worried about the cyst-says to just come back after my next TOM to get it checked out. With all this in mind, is it an awful idea to start using HCG? I am seeing an MD in Manhattan for the rx on Monday, but was curious if anyone else has used injections with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome/cysts/any other hormonal imbalances. Kind of random, I know, but hey maybe someone else is in the same boat! Thanks in advance Lisa |

I am one hot hormonal mess and I have done well with hcg!! I have adrenal fatigue, hypothyroid, unbalanced sex hormones as well as had pre-diabetes. So if I can do this, anyone can!!! As far as the PCOS, I don't know. But I do know of one lady who did do hcg and has it. She lost weight--yeah!!! I think you will do fine. If you are seeing a doctor for the injections, then you can ask the doctor! Or are you afraid to ask? THe lady I am referring to would not start the hcg until her doctors (yes she had several to see before the big OK) gave her the thumbs up!! They all agreed that she needed to lose the weight badly so they gave her the go-ahead. As for starting, Dr S said the BEST time was right after TOM, but if they are unpredictable you cannot help that. The hcg will mess with your hormones so that you may start right TOM at the same time as when you begin the injections or it might not come at all. I say this because you should be prepared for anything on hcg.
HTH!!! PS. I lost enough weight on my first 3 rounds to reach goal. I used the homeopathic hcg, didn't use a doctor or clinic and paid less than $100 to lose that weight!! I hope your program is inexpensive. But I bet in NY it is an arm and a leg LOL.

HCG can exacerbate ovarian cysts, that is one downside, but it can also help with some issues caused by PCOS (like insulin resistance and the subsequent weight struggles). Just go by how you feel, but from what I have heard most women with cystic ovaries do just fine on hCG, or the side effects are minimal. The symptoms would be the same as early pregnancy, so any hormonal exacerbation pregnancy can cause would be what to watch out for on hCG.
Just be aware of these issues, but I wouldn't be surprised if you felt just fine. |
