P2 Simeons Protocol Week of June 25

New thread!

How is everyone doing today? :high5:

Crazy PreK Teacher 06-25-2012 07:10 AM

Checking in...HI everyone!!!!! :hiya:

I stayed the same today...but spent 7 hours at a water park yesterday...usually I have a small gain...then I lose it the following day.

This is D36...so I have to decide if I want a break next week or not...perhaps a PI for a few days. I'm not fond of P3 & loading days :p But am craving eggs, sausage, avocados, & cheese.

Good luck ya'll...have a great week :D

llanx 06-25-2012 08:48 AM

VLCD #6, I actually gained .4:cry:
Don't know why, I ate the protocol food. Because I have been so hungry I dropped the fruit and meba toast and double the protein:
lunch: 200g of talipia + leaf lettuce
diner: 150g of shrimp + cabbage
I entered everything in an online counter and made sure I ended day below 500. So frustrated

dawnyama 06-25-2012 09:13 AM

Found you!! Loading today and I am tired of it. I want to lose already LOL. Cannot wait til Wed morning.

Desma 06-25-2012 09:47 AM

Today was suppose to be a weigh day for me, but TOM is here and I'm really struggling:sad: I was going to wait until he/she leaves so I can get an accurate weight and measurements.......maybe two days after?

Usually the first two days I crave salt and chocolate, and I gave into temptation while also entertaining someone I just started dating.

I'm back on track today, but one thing I've noticed about TOM that I didn't have to worry about before......cramping. I've never had cramping before, maybe some mild discomfort, but that's it. Has anyone had different than normal experiences with TOM while doing HCG?

Morning to you too!!!:hiya:
Well does everyone remember how I was so hungry for a good old piece of baked chicken? Well I baked it yesterday in parchment paper and removed the skin from the breast DH ate the dark meat.

BUT when supper time came around I couldn't eat it:mad: I was not hungry:eek: I tried and I just could not eat it.:dunno:I would never have dreamed in a million years that I would ever not been able to eat that little amount of food:p. Taryl told me sometimes she couldn't finish her PH2 meals and I thought when she said that "How can that be?" Well now I know;)

I weighed this morning and was down 1lb but weighed again after getting back up and was up a lb so I put that number down. Because if in fact I was up a lb. and didn't put that number, then tomorrow would have been up even more.

I am not worried about it .... as I was on plan. But I did not get all my water in yesterday. I never do on Sundays as we are not home like I am through the week.So today I will get it in and hopefully have a nice drop in the morning!!!!

Boy was I excited when I measured yesterday morning. It was 2 months since starting so I decided to measure and I have lost 17inches over all!

I have 5.2 more lbs to my first mini goal.Hopefully I will be there by Saturday!!!

Thanks Desma. I know I will. My next mini is 240. Ten lbs at a time:up:
Otherwise it's overwhelming.

When is your next date? I am so glad I am not back in the dating scene thing anymore:down: It's exciting but can be heartbreaking.I was one that wore their heart on their shoulder. Fell really easy. And always with the players:down:

But I have a keeper now he outshines them all!

Hi Desma,
The TOM cramping is likely due to change in electrolytes( magnesium, potassium, sodium, etc.) due to VLCD's nutritional restriction and high h2o consumption. Magnesium is many times the culprit. I am too new to hcg to know if supplements are ok on P2. Mag citrate has a mild laxative effect in small doses so be aware. This can be a good or bad thing depending on the person. Hope you are feeling better soon!

llanx 06-25-2012 01:17 PM

Hi Desma, ibuprofen does wonders for my TOM cramping.

C'Marie 06-25-2012 01:30 PM

Hi, just checking in on all the P2'ers. Sounds like you've all got it handled! Desma, I second both the magnesium and the ibuprofen. My cycle changed quite a bit on hcg. Obviously then you know it's working, right?! This is so not just a diet! Keep it clean and you'll get back on track from your slight indulgences.

Berta, so glad you're doing well!

llanx, you'll be ok. it's just water, probably will get a *whoosh* soon from the whoosh fairy! don't give up or give into temptation because of the darn scale.

Dawn, go for it and get er done! Now that you know what to do for maintenance, I predict you'll fly right through P2 without a hitch because you won't have that fear!!!!

Angela, if you do just an interrupt you don't have to load again as long as you don't do more than 14 days interrupt. You've already done the minimum, right? Not good taking an interrupt before then; too risky.

Latte, how are you?

Hopefully my next date will be this weekend. I'm glad you've got a keeper Berta! Its ruff out here! I went through the same as you did. But I'm still optimistic! My mini goals are 6 lbs. Hopefully when TOM is gone I'll be at mini goal #3!

TOM is evil! I feel like I've been stabbed repeatedly! And today is day 3!!!! Im usually light by now. SIGH! Oh and did I mention that I'm starving? I also feel like I'm forcing water down my throat when it use to be so effortless.
The only thing that's keeping me going is you guys :console:

Do you guys still weigh and measure during TOM?

I am on D36 today...so it will be D43...so I should be good

Lumina 06-25-2012 04:17 PM

Hello everyone! This is my second time on HCG. First time I lost 16lbs in about 17 days, give or take. I was happy where I was and (stupidly) just kind of.. Stopped. I know why my problem was (I wasn't pre cooking, I kept trying to get creative with my foods). I also started Melba about a week in. My cravings got crazy and I started over eating, first on legal food then on cheats. I ballooned back up to my SW and then quit smoking. A week later I was 10 pounds over THAT weight too.

Soooo I started THIS round 14 pounds over where I started LAST time. Which is so frustrating. But, nothing I can do about it now.

I'm on VLCD 6 and this morning was down 10.8 pounds. That was, of course, the 'quitting smoking' weight (which I didn't even stay quit. The weight gain was too much. I knew I could only tackle one thing at a time, and losing weight won)

I've changed up my plan a bit. I usually only do 1 fruit. I NEVER eat past 630. I did NOT give up diet drinks this time and so far that seems to be ok. I don't do Melba's. And I keep everything else VERY VERY simple. I have 7 meals in my fridge right now, two more packs of meat ready to be made into meals, and 6 meals in my freezer. I stick with easy veggies and apples or strawberries. I hate cooking in general so I make big batches then portion. I'm not really counting anything, I can't say for sure if today's meal had more chicken than yesterday's, I know I put 7 portions into the pot and then put it in 7 containers, give or take.

This has helped immensely.

I also tweaked my dose. I was doing 3 pellets 3x a day. I was tired and weak. I actually skipped a lunch dose on accident one day and felt better so now I do 3 pellets 2x a day. I'm feeling much better and not a lot of hunger. A little just because my eating window I SMALL. Not before 10 am and not after 630 (I aim for 6 though) and that's it. So for 16 hours each day only liquids.

I'm mentally trying to prepare myself for the slow down coming. I know for week 1, I lost a lot. Especially since I don't know that I have much to lose. At 154 (my lowest weight last time) people already said I was looking too small. I have a mental goal of 125 but I am pretty sure 135-140 will be better. At 155 I was already in an 8.

Anyway I figured I'd jump in!

Question for you all: what's the average weight loss on a 40 day round? I'd LIKE to get back down to 154, which this time is 30lbs (20 more) from my loading weight. That's where most of my clothes fit. I know I'll need at least one more round but I'd like to be comfy before I work on stabilization if possible.

dawnyama 06-25-2012 04:30 PM

Lumina

Welcome!!! I don't know how much you will lose on a 40 day round. I know that it is different for everyone on each round. I lose 15 lbs on every round I do, but I only do short 23 day rounds. I believe if I were to do a longer round I would not lose that much more. Maybe with the changes you have made you will lose fast this round. I find that with weight I have to re-lose (yeah, I have been there and done that too) it comes off faster. Thanks for joining us!! I find that with support I do better. Good luck!!

Oh, I have the pellets too. I took my afternoon dose and forgot it was only supposed to be 3 pellets and took 4 by mistake. Maybe I can skip my nighttime dose LOL. I am so new to the pellets that I am still trying to find my dose, so I am following the directions on the bottle. Actually I am not even on the VLCDs til tomorrow. And boy I cannot wait. Talk about stuffed. I am sooo ready to lose.

manders 06-25-2012 05:17 PM

The idea of taking pellets is kinda funny to me. Sounds like something a rabbit would eat. LOL :)

Today was pretty good. Down to 192, so 3 pounds down in two days. Loading days were awful, I think my body is still recovering. I was 189 before loading, so I can't wait to get down past that.

vanna1970 06-25-2012 05:37 PM

I can't believe this is the first I'm posting today. It's been busy! I picked up a new client today and I have a meeting tomorrow with another new client. This is going to be a crazy week. Lots and lots of work! But that's a good thing because my husband is looking for a job right now, and this will help fill in some income.

llanx, cabbage makes me stall. I've heard that from others as well.

My weight was the same this morning. I was having cravings something fierce around dinner time. Made me almost want to quit. :stars: But I've come to my senses and I will continue. I know it's not a good idea to move on before 21 days.

I am getting really tired of this food though. I need some variety. And I can't eat anymore WF dressing! I am so sick of it! Does anyone make homemade dressing? Any recipes out there?

dawnyama 06-25-2012 05:48 PM

Vanessa
I have a recipe you can use. I loved it on one of my rounds. http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/hc...u-today-8.html post #215. It is awesome!!! I may have to make some on this round. I hated the WF dressings so bad I just give up on salads on P2. I can make due with the other veggies. But it is nice to have lettuce too! Biz says that romaine is a great diuretic and I lose well when I include it! Sometimes you just cannot stomach any more tomatoes or cucumbers. Ugh....can you see that I am already dreading P2??!! Haven't even started P2 yet LOL. Lord help me on this round, please.

Star73 06-25-2012 05:51 PM

I'm trying HCG again and hoping and praying for no migraines this time :aprayer:

I have more energy and it helps my hunger cravings sooooo much!!!!! Even if I have migraines I may just tough it out and see if they go away. I need this to work!

mommy2boysaz 06-26-2012 03:49 AM

P2D2 today for me of Round 1. After a less than wonderful loading phase, I was worried I'd feel starved the first day or 2 of VLC, but it was not the case yesterday! :jumpjoy: I was only mildly hungry in the late afternoon and before bed. And this morning I'm down 3.4 lbs from yesterday! Lots of water coming off, I realize, but still... :D

I'm becoming more and more optimistic! You are all so inspiring!! Happy to have this group to go through this with!

BTW, :o How do I get my stats on my signature line?? I can't figure it out...

Have a great day, everyone!

misslatte 06-26-2012 06:32 AM

Mornin ladies - quick fly by post. I hope you all have a wonderful day! :hugs:

llanx 06-26-2012 08:28 AM

Hi, C'Marie, just like you said, I dropped 2 lb today, yeah~, finally get rid of all of the loading weight :jumpjoy:

Vanessa, I did not eat cabbage yesterday, had collards green and radish instead. Maybe it IS the cabbage, I had almost 350g on Sunday for dinner since I was starving.

BTW, I was playing with my doses for the last 2 days, dropped to total of 7 pellets on Sunday and 6 yesterday, was doing 9 ~ 12 before. I am still hungry all day but it is more manageable now. I am thinking of trying 8 today (3/2/2).

Happy Tuesday!

Awesome Berta :high5:

I am up .4 today...was kinda expecting it. I usually have the 2nd day effect...spending 7 hours at the water park on Sunday stalls me on any program. My hands & feet feel tight so I know I am still retaining water for now.

Keep on truckin' :D

:hiya::hiya: Mine were doing that when I stopped my water pills. But I am taking them again because I get edema pretty bad in my legs if I don't.I took them last time and it didn't stop me from losing.Just know it wil come off:up:. And stay on protocol as much as possible. I have been trying to be 100% this time. Had a couple goof ups but so far so good.
Be good to those kiddos today:laugh::D;)

And keep reminding yourself it's only for 21 days (or 40) whichever you choose. Remember you can take a break away for a few days if need be.But also remember you may gain during those break days!!!

I'm just having a hard time with this during TOM. Before he/she came, I was fine. No hunger issues, decided weighing and measuring myself once a week kept me sane......it was all good. And then...............TOM:annoyed:!!!!!!!!!!

I'm just hoping he/she gets out of town on time and doesn't try to stick around longer than he/she is suppose to!
