I'm down 4 pounds since yesterday!!!!
![]() Is that even possible?!? Yesterday was my first day of VLCD. I know the weight loss will slow down, but I really only expected a pound or two and not four!!! |

Here I am to throw a wrench into everyone's Saturday successes.
![]() I am up 1.6 today BUT I earned every oz of it. I ate out last evening with my daughter and did NOT stay on plan. It was a conscious decision I made, with the knowledge that it would set me back and I'd have to work a few days to get the gained pounds back off. Seemed worth it at the time, but we shall see... Depends how long/how hard it is to get off! ![]() So, I actually expected to be up even more than that today. Maybe I'll still be up even more tomorrow, even though I'll stick to the program today. Anyhoo, I'm still down a total of 6.6 pounds for my first week of P2! ![]() I'm very pleased with that! Off to buy some more apples and strawberries today! Have a wonderful, blessed Saturday, everyone! (Hope not too many of you were effected by the severe weather yesterday. It hit about 10 miles from me. Scary!) |

Wow, misslatte!
That's an amazing loss!! Congratulations!! So, from your experience, there's nothing else I need to do (except STICK to the program!), to get myself back on track? I'll definitely chug my water and tea today. I feel puffy from the sodium I consumed yesterday. Also, TOM should be here any moment now (unless the hHCG messes with that), so I am always puffy at this time for that reason, too. Hoping I didn't mess things up too much with my indiscretion yesterday... |

YES,YES,YES I am down 1.2 lbs today
FINALLY I am seeing losses. I was aso ready to indulge in anything I could get my hands on . Not because of hunger just discourgaement. But like I have told the other girls here if we stick with it, it will come off. I need to remember that for my self![]() Quote:

It does slow down but if we stick to protocol and NO cheats not even a nibble we will continue to loose .5 -1lb a day. No other plan that I have ever been on can do that. And believe me I have been on almost ALL of them CONGRATULATIONS on your loss![]() Quote:

Sorry for your gain. But at least it wasn't mindless eating. P&I says if you cheat it will or can set you back 3 days . I try to remember that before I get the urge to cheat You hang in there and it WILL come off. KUTGW![]() Quote:
I was conctantly hungry on PH2 R1 but this time I have no hunger at all I am so happy about that. I still have mind hunger but so far have kept it in check. Now with the 4th coming up and going to friends for a BBQ I don't know what they are having or how controlled I will be or even want to be for that matter ![]() But this round is over on the 8th so I dont want to sabotage my losses to bad. P&I says that you should not take HCG during your cycle and that in young teenage girls their periods may in some rare cases may be delayed or stop altogether. You KUTGW too![]() Quote:

This morning I weighed in at 173.8, down 4.2 pounds from Thursday. My load weight is almost gone and we're getting into earned it/virgin territory with my overeating regain of a few pounds from the LDW I clocked.
Either way, it's going well here. |

WOW! Everyone is doing so well!
Mommy2boys, you will drop that gain. You're overall losses are impressive! I am doing much better, after my 4 day interruption!! I switched drops and I am no longer hungry!!! YAY!!! HUGE difference. I was worried about my obsession with food thinking when this was over I'd go back to eating emotionally, but it turns out I was just obsessed because I was STARVING! I am not even hungry at meal times now and think I will stay on a little longer to get a few lbs below goal. I am just 2 lbs away! The interruption sped up my losses too, went from 1.6 and 2.6 lbs per week to 4.6 lbs in 6 days! YAY! After this I think I will do JUDDD for maintenance. |

![]() Congrats on that loss, ArcticMama! Thanks for the words of encouragement everyone. I'm actually feeling more confident in my ability to lose this extra weight than I've felt in a long time. Anyone care to elaborate on what JUDDD is? I can go to the forum and read for myself... just being lazy! ![]() |

You use a calculator on Johnsons Alternative Day Diet web page and figure out your calories. However there are no food restrictions . For 2 weeks you eat 500 calories one day and then whatever the calculator tells you the next day. You do that for the two weeks then your calories go up for both days. I am going to JUDDDD for life maintance and maybe for PH4Last edited by Berta48; 06-30-2012 at 10:51 AM.. |

Congrats to all!
Wow is right, this group brings new meaning to the term LOSING STREAK!!!
![]() Congrats on all the hard work everyone!! Newbie recap for first 10 days: Load Day 2: +4.5 VCLD 1:-7.5 2:no change 3:+1.5 4:-3.5 5:-1 6:+1.5 7:-2 8:+.5 9:-1.5 10:-1.5 Total loss of 9lbs in 10 days!! ![]() I have kept to the letter with no cheats whatoever, and not letting my water fluctuations discourage me. Seems if I have a gain, I always have enough loss to compensate it the next day. That keeps me going. I am so happy with these results, it made me cry. I have finally found my miracle to help me get my life back![]() Some goodies I discovered stumbling through hcg for the first time this week( maybe old news for others!): Muir Glen Organic canned Tomato Sauce!-Has no added sugar. Doctor up an 8 oz can with garlic powder, onion powder, basil and oregeno, and a few drops of stevia if you like your sauce sweet. This gives you 2, 4 oz. servings, use one serving as your veg poured over a grilled chicken breast and sop up the extra with a grissini. Mama Mia, says this Italian lady! Crock Pot Apples! Peel and core 4 pink lady apples, chop up and put in crock pot(I use one of the mini crockpots) with cinnamon to taste. Cook on low about 2 hours (or to consistency you prefer). When done cooking stir in vanilla creme and/or english toffee stevia to taste. Weigh out to 4 equal portions and put in portioned containers or baggies. Instant goodness on the go when you are craving something more hearty! This one saved me a couple times this week. Schar Gluten Free Breadsticks (Grissini)! For those that have gluten intolerance and cannot eat melba or traditional grissini. They are very tastey (my dog has decided she likes them too, I have to share now every time she hears the package crinkle). I was concerned about how these would impact weight loss, but averaged almost 1lb a day lost while eating these. I ordered them from amazon.com Strawberry Jam! Mash 12 strawberries(tops removed) in a sauce pan, add 1/2-2/3 cup water. Bring to a boil on medium heat stirring constantly, then reduce to simmer and add stevia to taste, simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until starting to thicken/reduce. Split into 2 servings and chill in fridge. Each serving equals 1 fruit. Last edited by chesapeakers; 06-30-2012 at 11:42 AM.. |

![]() I saw some Italian gluten free breadsticks in the Health Market at our HyVee and wondered if they were the same as a Grisinni but no one answered my post If I remember correctly they were like 6 for 60 calories. Now I know 2 a day would be the limit.... but I wonder if they would be ok?The recipes sound very tasty! Thanks Last edited by Berta48; 06-30-2012 at 11:35 AM.. |

Hi Berta,
The Schar grissini are 130 calories for 7 , so 19 calories per stick. They use rice, potato and corn flours to replace the wheat and malt flour found in traditional grissini. There is a trace of sugar (one of the last ingredients) and sugar content is listed as >1 gram. I was very skeptical to steer away from any of Dr. Simeons instructions, but I seem to be doing ok with these. I imagine gluten free anything was not even a blip on the radar in 1950's Italy, so a gluten free alternative was never even considered. I have also found a gluten free grissini recipe that eliminates the sugar and preservative factors. I'm hoping to give it a go in the kitchen next week and see what I end up with. Hi Everyone,
There have have been some nice losses this week. Congratulations! I agree nibbles can be "costly" but the consequences help us learn to stay on protocol.I had my official weigh in/measurement on Friday as Sunday is Canada Day and as such a lot of businesses will be closed on Monday. So my totals yesterday were a loss of 7.5 pounds and 4 inches. Now,today I am up.5 but I know I didn't drink all my water yesterday so I'll make sure to get it all in today. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. |

I didn't buy them.... I went to look at them again today. But they had all those flours in them and corn syrup and 170 caloreis for 7 so they went back on the shelf ![]() Post the recipe if they turn out good okay? I just tried finding the Grissinni on Netrition and could not find them. I saw them a week or so ago? THanks everyone! It's great to see other's losses too! I'm really loving how my appetite is suppressed. That's been a big growling bear in my life for a while now. I love the foods I can have on P2. Yeah, I'm new to this and things may get old, but I like having these rules to go by.

Evening all!
I went up .8 of a pound today. This would be due to my late night chicken and hot sauce binge. It was that OR eat the box of chicken wings and make nachos. So chicken breast and hot sauce seemed a better idea. It seems with my TOM about to start, all I want to do is eat ridiculous amounts of meat. What the heck? LOLOL! I'm really craving a big bowl of beef with taco seasoning. Maybe my iron is low? |

Hi, girls! Some nice losses here this week, congratulations
D11 for me today, down .4. The bad news is TOM just started today and I have been struggling with being SOOOOO hungry. I'm not talking about increased appetite or an empty feeling. I mean stomach growling loudly, constant full on hunger! I had extra veggies, added an apple (had cut the fruit out recently). And at dinner time, I just could not take it anymore and had a 6oz top sirloin. So I ended the day with ~700 cal ![]() I just thought I had this hunger thing under control. Wow, TOM really messed me up ![]() |

Berta, Thank you for the explanation of JUDDD.
I'll check that out a little more when I'm done with this round.chesapeakers- Thanks for posting the goodies you've found! They all sound terrific! And congrats on the wonderful loss! I was happy to find I am down 0.6 today. So, I've recovered almost half from my gain of yesterday. This is much more impressive since my TOM is here this morning with a vengence! I feel terribly bloated. Anxious to see how much I can lose in Week 2! I still can't really believe that this stuff (hHCG) actually works. Never in a million years did I think anything could control my appetite enough to make me feel satisfied while eating 500 cals/day. NEVER! ![]() Have a blessed Sunday, everyone! |
