Your losses are actually above average Berta, way above average given your thyroid issues and age! Women can expect, over the course of the protocol, to lose half a pound per day, a little less or more is also typical. You're on pace to lose slightly more than half a pound per day, that means it is working correctly!

Berta, it sounds like you're doing great! And you've almost made it through this round, which is wonderful!
Manders, I'm with you on the salt cravings. I wanted chips so bad the other day! But, of course I didn't give in to it and it passed. As for me, I'm down 0.8 today, for a total now of 8.2. Very happy with that! After my big losses at the beginning of the week, I totally expected to be seeing small gains by now. BUT, TOM visits probably today or tomorrow, so that should be interesting. Sorry for my mini-rant, pity party yesterday. I feel better today. Guess I just have to get over feeling sorry for myself at times and JUST DO IT! (As Nike says!) The thing I'm most looking forward to after I lose this weight is having clothes that fit again!! What about all of you? What are you most looking forward to? Have a great Friday, everyone! |

I lost 4 lbs!!!
Hi everyone. I started my VLCD yesterday and weighed myself this morning. I've lost 4 lbs!! Woohoo!!!! I did eat more than 500 calories, i was hungry. I ate about 800 and drunk loads of water. I would love to have buddies during this transition. I need to lose about 120 lbs but my first goal is 25lbs.

YIPPEE DOWN 1 more today![]() ![]() Quote:
![]() How are things going with you today? Still having a busy summer? I trust you are at least having a good one. I guess I am doing okay then. I just felt it was being so slow.I was having so many up days with +.2 + .4 etc .it felt like I was going in the wrong directions. I have been on protocol 95 1/2% of the time. I stopped the thyroid medication and the water pills as in P&I it says they never allow them. The thyroid was given to me per request by my previous Dr. as I thought that would help me lose weight. But alas it didn't. I just kept taking them. As for the water pills I do need them as I get 3 & 4+ edema in my legs if I don't.I stopped for a few days after reading that but my legs began to feel heavy and swollen again. It was even getting hard to lift them.So I am taking them again. It also says in P&I if you are on treatment for those 2 things weight loss will be slower Quote:
Cingratulations on your losses. I have clothes that are too big on me now it's amazing I am taking it ten lbs at a time![]() And you can mini rant or excessive rant on here any time !Quote:

Temeka![]() I am on R2P2 but I still have over a hundred lbs to loose too But If you stick with protocol and drink your water and take the HCG like you are suppose to it will come off. You will have up days and down days. But it will all work out and the weight will come offKeep posting because you get lots of great advice and support here!!! ![]() Quote:
I have posted this before but just to reminnd yu.I was thinking I was not getting anywaher and decided to measure last Sunday and found I had lost 17in and I didn't even measure my arms or legs.![]() Please don't give up you will see some results soon. ![]()

Hi, happy Friday everyone! I am really looking forward to the weekend!
Desma, I bounce up and down too, but usually would end up with a nice loss after sticking to protocol for a couple days. Berta, mommy2boysaz, Congrat for your loss, KUTGW ![]() temeka, I started just 2 weeks ago, this is my 1st round. And let me tell you this board is great, I came here everyday looking for inspirations to keep me motivated! As for me, D10 down 1.2 to a weight I haven't seen for 3 months ![]() Looking through my food log, I noticed I seem to lose better if I keep my calories to ~400 per day, those days are by accident since I was so busy at work and didn't eat lunch until mid-afternoon. Is it OK to keep at 400? I do feel some hunger from time to time but not much. Just don't want to get into the starvation mode losing muscle instead of fat. |

Hey ladies! Down from 178.0 to 175.8 this morning, which is a good drop for my first VLCD and I'm not complaining. I was a little nauseous yesterday and had a nasty headache before bed, but that seems to have passed now and I'm feeling fine today. No hunger or other issues, so far the sublingual is causing the same response in me as the subcutaneous.

Hello ladies and Temeka!
What a day. I popped in to work for one client and then I went over to my salon supply store. I missed my turn heading home so I took a detour through the edge of downtown and got rear-ended! It was a 3 car accident, with me being the very front car. The stupid guy in the back car hit the car behind me so hard that there was no way it wouldn't have gone into me. Just a few marks on my bumper. Physically I feel quite fine. I've been in worse accidents, just very shaken up. It really distracted me and I've barely eaten or drank anything at all. Missed my HCG dose as well. Hopefully this doesn't mess me up! |

Hello all! Hope everyone's loses are amazing!
Today was VLCD10, down a total of 14.8 pounds. I couldn't be more excited! I seem to have found my 'sweet spot' with dosing and food choices, as well as my eating window. I've only had less than a pound loss one day, and that was a day I didn't eat red meat! So strange! Today is the first time I feel 'full' after eating. I had my dinner and had to almost force myself to finish. I didn't finish completely. I actually feel kind of sick now, lol. Who knew?! Im trying to mentally prepare myself for the smaller losses. I've been spoiled lol. Hope everyone else is doing well!

Berta--Thanks!! I am so glad it is gone. I know the heat has something to do with it. It is very, very hot. My ac is not working right. Just called the ac guy and he said he would save me a service call--just water the ac unit outside like it was raining. So we did that and what do you know?? It worked!!! Upstairs is starting to get cooler. I am so happy!! Anyhow, this heat is just not good. Even drinking so much water. Cannot wait til the temps cool off next week.
I remember you posted about being in ketosis and wanted to report back but forgot what thread it was. Since I told you we shouldn't be in ketosis and that I would test it out for you, here is what I found out.....I tested just before bed last night--negative ketones. I ate chicken, onion, and 1/2 grapefruit for dinner. When I got up this morning I checked again because I noticed that when I was on Atkins if I would get different results when I checked at different times. So, the result--large ketones!!!! Wow!! I was surprised!! But it means that we are burning fat, just like Angela said, and that is a good thing!!! So yes, we might be in ketosis but it isn't the end of the world.

I tried Atkins once couldn't stick with it. I never did go into Ketosis either for some reason.I am about finished with this round, unless I continue when we get back on the 20th.I still haven't made up my mind what I want to do yet.If I go on to PH3&4 I have eight weeks before going back to PH2. So I will wait and see how I loose by the 8th(that will be my 23rd day on HCG)and that will be my LDW before the interuption. Last edited by Berta48; 06-29-2012 at 07:05 PM.. |
