does this answer? and yes I got a "pooch" right now.... and some flappies under the arms... and seriously I do not think that my girls will totally recover by themselves from the 100 pounds (hopefully 135 by the time I'm done) without serious help (meaning LIFT here). but mostly not good. Prob never bikini ready, but good.

Hi Ladies!
I've been MIA.. Y'all have been busy! Suzi7, I am so interested to learn everything you did to save your skin. That is a major fear! Lara, I'm still on for Aug 3rd. I can't wait! I'm maintaining fine in P3, but I want to lose more. I may shoot for a longer round this time.. I just don't know. Good Luck Julie! |

Out of town!
Oh dear, family reunion this weekend. Camping style, so there's going to be a lot of stuff I can't eat around me all weekned. I am taking my own snacks and foods but it's still going to be really tough. I also won't be able to weigh myself for a few days... that seems dangerous! What if I'm up Saturday and I should do a steak day but I don't know it because I don't really know I'm over 2lbs...lol OK I'm getting worked up, I'm sure things will be OK. Anyone have any tips for road trips/camping?
I'm also running into...not wanting to eat, I really wish I could drink my nutrients or take a pill LOL I worry most days if I'm getting the right portions of things in as I'm supposed to. I need to find a good balanced meal plan to follow daily. Oh and I just bought some liqourice watermelon seeds and salted pumpkin seeds, no sugars listed in the ingredients. I'm going to do some reading about the seeds but I thought I'd ask to see if anyone knew if these are OK. Thanks have a great weekend everyone! |

I don't see why everyone is so worried about traveling while on p3. I did it my very first round, my very first day of P3 I was on the road for a 12 hour road trip!! I was stable the whole week we were away. I brought my food in a cooler and when we stopped at a fast food joint I ate off their menu. I eat bunless burgers--I just order the buns on the burger and toss it in the trash!; or salads. A lot of places have salads on the menu nowadays. I also stick to the menu out on vacation that I do at home. I eat eggs and bacon for breakfast; tunafish salad for lunch; meat and a salad for dinner; for snacks I ate berries and whipped cream and cream cheese muffins. I come from 12 years on Atkins so I am used to eating P3 style every day. I love eating this way and it is second nature to do it! Just eat what you would normally eat if you are at home and on P3. Could not be simpler. I am always NOT eating what everyone else is eating, so my family is used to me not indulging with them when they are eating S'mores, ice cream cones and milkshakes. I just don't have it!!! I either eat something I CAN eat (those cream cheese muffins are awesome) or just have a cup of coffee with loads of cream. Fills me up!! Camping should be easy!! You can have hot dogs, hamburgers, steaks....all cooked on the campfire/grill.
Now you have me craving P3 so badly. Uh....at least my water is next to me!!! Oh, and I have to add...I believe that traveling in P2 is much, much harder. Having to pack your portions of protein and worrying about the amount of veggies to have. ick. Don't want to do that. Be thankful you don't have to travel during P2! Have fun!!!

Thanks Dawn!!! You're right, this should be easy. P2 would be hard way!! I've just been using the Fit Day lately and my daily fat/protein/carb count just gets to the max pretty quick so then I start to fear I'm clogging my body with fat lol. I'm still trying to come to grips with the fact I'm not supposed to eat all the of the things I've been taught to avoid because I thought and have read they were bad for me.
I read that these are the norms...or goals: 55% fat, 25% protein & 20% carb...it doesn't take much for that to go up. I just need snacks that are low in carbs and fats but just good calories and protein... |

I have done low carb FOREVER, too. I have always eaten different from my family...I am very carb-phobic...practically gain just by looking ![]() When I P2...I bring my chicken in a baggie and my bottle of Maple Grove Sugar Free Balsamic Vinaigrette dressing w/me (and order a side salad) to the restaurant with me. I brought all my food for the day to the water park/car show on the 4th...it was great...I actually ate EVERYTHING allowed (2 meats, 2 starch, 2 fruit, 2 veggies)...normally a fruit & melbas don't get eaten during the day at home...lol. I brought sliced cucumbers, grape tomatoes, strawberries, apple, hamb. patty, and chicken all in individual baggies...wasn't to bad to travel. Eating out does not phase me a bit. We had friends come from Cali and we wanted to take them to a famous fried chicken place..."BABE's". I ate before and did not eat one bite at the table...I did NOT feel deprived...everyone else tried to feel sorry for me...I said it honestly does not bother me. YES...the fried chicken, cr. corn, homemade mash taters/gravy, gr. beans, homemade biscuits, honey, etc...looked very good...but not enough to eat it. I see or think of some thing yummy..I want it...but then it passes. I use a lot of spices, etc. and spruce up my food...so I don't feel too deprived. It's mainly the variety...so I change it up every so often. My cravings are usually peanut butter & eggs/bacon. I think next week gonna eat some fats on a PI. I've noticed that I am very tired & sluggish the last few days. I lost count of how many days...I think around 54/55 right now. I have people ask me how long do you know to be on protocol...it's amazing...but your body starts TELLING you...at least for me it does. Sorry about the novel ![]()

seeds
OK I can't find any info about watermelon seeds and if they're OK on P3. Ingredients are: watermelon seed, coconut oil, staranise, clove, salt & liquoice. Nutrition facts: 10g = 50cal, 4g fat (sat.1g), 1g of fibre and 3g of protein. Should be OK??? Right?? lol I'll just have to try them I think.

![]() Maybe that is why I don't freak out when I hit P3. I just make sure I don't eat starch or sugar. I know what that is since I have been low carbing for 12 years. Easy for me, maybe not for someone who doesn't come from a low carb background. I don't count calories, count carbs, count anything. I just eat!!! I double the amount of protein I eat at lunch and dinner and add breakfast to the mix. Then I enjoy mixing veggies and having butter and coconut oil. That is it!! Easy!!! I don't do snacks, most of the time. I eat enough at meals to hold me over or I drink enough coffee that that is enough. I find that snacking just adds calories I don't need. I would rather enjoy my meals. I do NOT snack on nuts or seeds---way too easy to overdo. I like to have cream cheese muffins on hand and berries with sf whipped cream. Those are enough snacks for me. Even an apple can be a snack--just like on P2. |

Hi guys!
Desperately trying to catch up here at work and on my sleep and missing my buddies in Mexico like crazy right now but wanted to wave at all the newbies. Also according to my pants , I'm up about 5 pounds from Mexico but given what I ate and drank for 10 days while there, I will count that a huge success! Happy Friday, everyone!

I think it is going to be a while before this water falls off -- I've been doing a lot of reading -- most of my musings are posted on the thread I started about Atkins after HCG if anyone wants to follow that.... I'm dealing with some miserable consequences of starving myself too often and for too long, but it is of my own making... I don't want to discourage anyone else, so am posting mostly on a thread dedicated to finding other plans after hcg.
