Well, I must say that my body is full of surprises right now. I was SO convinced that I have better endurance on low carb, but today makes me question that quite a lot! I wasn't much hungry until late in the afternoon, and I ate a little less than half my daily (1000) calories right before working out (about 420 calories total)-- the meal was balanced-- berries, a little greek yogurt (yes, I am braving it again, though I will have to be diligent about not overeating it), a scoop of egg protein powder.....
Then, I did a lifting workout. Well, guess what? My workout was great! I totally expected to tank halfway through, and it didn't happen at all.... in fact, about an hour later, I am still not hungry -- and I am usually pretty darn hungry post-workout. I don't know what to make of this, quite, except that I am going to do this for a while. It seems my body doesn't want to go ketogenic right now, and I just have to honor that. I'll probably eat a little more later, assuming I do get hungry -- but this is really encouraging. I actually had better endurance in the gym than I have in a while! I hope that keeps up

Whoohoo Suzi! Yes, I do think there is such a thing as a bad bottle -- we've all had experiences like that, I think, if we've done multiple rounds. It is easy to deactivate the hhcg, too -- so that could have happened.
Obviously, I did start up again today, and am really hoping to see some results very soon. I'm feeling really good today, so that is promising, but we will see how it goes for the longer haul. I'm dearly hoping the inflammation isn't from an impending Lyme relapse -- I've had horrrid inflammation and water weight gain with Lyme flares in the past, so that is scary.... I'm holding off on the Lyme herbs for a bit, though, since the treatment can stir things up and make one feel worse -- I'm hoping maybe I don't need it. The herbal treatment is actually very strong, and the die off can be awful. If it looks like I am relapsing, though, I don't have much choice but to opt for treatment. |

Good afternoon. Not sure where everyone lives but here in Australia it is around 4pm on Saturday afternoon. Diet is going well. I am down 9 pounds in the last 5 days. Haven't done too bad with my cravings while on my menstrual cycle. I've stayed between 500-800 calories per day, along with very low carbs and fat. No exercise as of yet, though I do want to start that in the next week or so. I am also looking to order some hhcg drops this week. I think I might be able to squeeze that into my budget. I really hope so, because from looking at everyone's results/progress it seems like it works really well. Congratulations to everyone who is doing so well. I dont post alot but I do read and you guys are my inspiration. I'm so tired of hearing people say, "you have such a pretty face" or " you're so pretty for a fuller figured woman" ... I want my body to match the rest and it has been several years since I have been "smaller". I am turning 40 the middle of August and feel like this is my last chance to get it right and have a body that I can be proud of. lol...maybe its a midlife crisis.
Start date 7/23- 242.5 Today 7/28- 233 (Australia is approximately 16 hours ahead of the States) |

ReBecca -- glad the diet is going well for you so far. I agree with everyone else that if you plan to do such low calories, having the hhcg is pretty important -- assuming it does what it claims to do, it is protective against metabolic slowing, and helps liberate body fat.
I do know that I seem to lose better with it than without it, on the same amount of calories -- though beyond that, I really can't say. |

I had a great day in terms of energy and stamina, and hunger remained very low. I did finally end up eating a late night snack (some broccoli slaw with a few pine nuts, some berries) and I feel totally satisfied.
Oh, if only the whole round could go this easily AND yield big losses, I'd be one very, very happy girl! |

![]() Apparently touching the dropper to your tongue can sometimes do it. And other voodoo and black magic. But sometimes a new bottle works much better than an old one. I like the pellets, they always seem to stay "fresh".Down .8 of a pound this week to a new low 126.6. Or rather the low I reached last November. Anyways steady but sure progress, I'm okay with that! Lost a bit of waist/belly fat this week too. ![]()

I like the pellets when I'm away from the house - though I do worry about our Florida heat destroying them - so I slip several into a tiny plastic baggie (you can get them at Walmart's craft supplies) and carry just the amount I need - and I always count out one extra per dose in case some of the hcg "rubbed off" on the plastic. Seems to work for me ...

WhoooHOoo Suzi! Definitely about time, and I am so glad you are seeing results!
Apparently the drops can become deactivated by all sorts of things -- touching the tongue to the dropper, being too close too electronics, heat and light, and other voodoo and black magic, as Paula says (lol!) I know it seems that they lose potency in general, once opened ... We are supposed to tap the bottle sharply a few times before use, too, (not shake it) -- this apparently helps the potency. Dazy -- Gorgeous pic, as always! Embee -- lovin' the avatar! |

Paula -- WHOOOHOOO on the new number!
I'm down a full lb from yesterday, so feeling hopeful about this new round. Not very hungry this morning, either -- and feeling good and energetic. Oh, please Lord, let this continue! There's something very comforting in knowing that if I get hungry, I can eat -- I'll eat very clean, and in very low calorie increments .... but so many rounds I have just overridden the hunger for so long... this time, I am determined not to do that. It may mean grazing on a lot of veggies and fruits and other low cal goodies, but that is fine. |

Oh... went and looked ....
So sorry to hear about the hawk. Rehabbing is like that ... we do our best, and sometimes we lose the battle anyhow. It's still heartbreaking. I know that with pigeons, it is important to put them on antibiotics right away if they have any sign of a puncture wound, since predators (such as hawks) can often carry pasturella. Did you have any idea how the hawk was injured -- what kind of injury, etc? It may well be that the hunger and dehydration were just too advanced, as your friend said. I'm at least glad she had some kindness in her last hours... I figure that, alone, is a blessing. |

I read a quote on a pigeon care site the other day that read: "Blessed is he who cares for a pigeon, because the pigeon will pray for him." That gave me a chuckle...if that is true, I have a lot of prayers flapping up to the heavens, regularly!
I suspect the pigeons are praying for seeds, in actuality, and their prayers are regularly being answered ![]() |
