Dazy -- the all flax is actually quite yummy! I love all the alternative flours -- almond, coconut, peanut, and so forth -- but I do think I need to limit them somewhat. Yummy carb-like treats are easy to over eat....

I was bad too today!!!
I totally lost it! I watched cooking shows (bad idea) then ate some tortilla chips with about 2 tbls of french onion dip then some vegetable chips and to top it off....vanilla ice cream w/caramel syrup and whipped cream!!! I don't even like caramel that is how bad it was. I do have a stomach ache right now but I am not going to dwell on it. This is only my week 3 in my 21 days. I have had pizza my last two Friday nights and still loose but this has really thrown me off. Will be back on schedule!! Just had to admit my downfall!!

Looks like a lot of us fell off yesterday! I had some Lightly Salted chips, then a thick slice of homemade bread with spread, then a spoonful of tater tot casserole and a tiny double chocolate cookie.
(It really was tiny - one of those that come in 100 calorie packs.) I was up .8 today after being this close to a new decade. Dadgumit. ![]() So today is basically an egg day. My last dosing day was supposed to be tomorrow but I had been wondering if I should take a break Thursday (special dinner) and keep on, to see if I can get closer to goal. What do you do when you do that? Stop dosing for two days, special dinner, then straight back to dosing and P2? ![]()

I think cheating is in the air! But when you look at all of our 'cheats' we used to eat this as part of a daily routine, day after day week after week and never thought twice! I really think the diet helps you get a handle on whats 'bad eating' or an occasional treat, and what is normal and healthy. I'd be popping crackers, cheese, fruit and nuts, and now its a tiny piece of coco oil chocolate and happy to have that

I wonder if I should just quit the drops?
I am really not sticking to a low low cal diet, and wonder if the drops help at all??It seems like I do get hungry, eat more or dont depending on my ability or my energy level. I am trying to loose 7 more lbs, and have stepped up the exercise??
If I go lower cal, I may not have the energy I need--Just dont know what to do...I have been doing a sloppy p-2 with 1000-1500 calories, good foods, little sugar, no starch, but using face creams, half and half, and a little coconut oil chocolate. Should I just ditch the hcg?? I am down to the Nu Gen crap from the store that is brown and syryupy. I do have a bottle of some other homeopathic clear stuff, but left it out in the car, and have not kept it refrigerated. I looked in to some pellets, but feel kind of silly about this for 7 pounds;0 |

Honestly, I've wondered the same thing about the drops -- whether they even did anything at all....
My first round was great -- I dropped weight quickly, and really didn't have a lot of hunger. Pretty much every round after that I really struggled, and I am not sure if the hhcg was doing much to help. I did two rounds on the "real" hcg drops, and didn't find much of a difference there, either. I don't think the NiGen has actual hcg in it -- even in homeopathic quantities -- I think it is just precursor amino acids. I'm guessing you could probably lose the 7 lbs without it, just doing what you are doing now -- ? Most people seem to think that the hhcg with the actual homeopathic amounts of the hormone are effective -- I honestly don't know -- but I do know that I had more hungry days than not on my hcg journey as a whole.

HCG drops
I am wanting to do this diet but have a few questions. First...is it really necessary to take the drops/pellets? Can you still lose a significant amount of weight if you just do the 500 calories per day? I have started this today without taking the hcg or hhcg and have so far only had 1 1/2 small green apple. For dinner I intend to have about 2 ounces of baked liver and some green beans out of a can. I am drinking water and lemonade made with lemon concentrate and splenda. Has anybody done this diet without taking the HCG supplement? And if so what were your results? I'd be grateful for anyone who can share their experience and how much weight they have lost by doing 500 calories per day, low fat, and low carbs without taking the HCG. Thanks. I have about 80 pounds to lose but will be thrilled to even lose 60.

I think it works if you do it right
I lost most of my weight and so did two of my friends. I was strictest down to the face cream etc. NO splenda, just stevia (i still use lots of that-its natural, and not bad for your diet)
If I had to do over, I would have double the protein up, and stuck to protocol the way I did. I was not hungry-had enough energy. If you are going to to do it, get some good drops or pellets, and read, read, watch videos, and do it right with the loading, etc. It has worked for a lot of us where other diets have failed. I do think you have to take a clinical approach though, and not try to deviate too much especially get in a good first round Good luck to you |

last weeks stats, unremarkable--but grateful!
Well I gained a half pound, which is just normal fluctuation, lost an inch in my bust (again
and half inch around the waist, belly, hips. I did Callanetics 5 times last week, and rode a good horse every day ![]() I have a Groupon for 'hot yoga' I may start this week. I have 10 sessions, and might as well give it a go. If I do two or three a week I may notice some change. I would really like to to take my waist down a couple of inches. I have always been up and down shaped-now at 35--28.5 37.5 I was 41--36--42 starting so its been a good progress with the hcg. I went from a size 12/14 to a 6/8 I am actually thrilled with this, its been a dream for a long time, now its been 2 months and I am actually holding this weight and size. I will have to plan a 'back to school' program though as not to gain again ![]() |

I didn't go rogue until after about 35 days when I hit a stall and then I added a few "rogue" items and it broke the stalls and actually I felt a little less bored with the eating plan. Another reason is I love to workout and on the VLCD I burned tooo many calories, so I added healthy fats to my workout days...Especially coconut milk (full fat ) and Oil... the scale may have slowed just a tad..BUT the inches are still flying off each week, and my muscle tone is staying put |

My menu: Lunch: 100g meat and 100g veggie Dinner: 100g meat and 100g veggie Dessert: 100g lowfat cottage cheese and 100g strawberries My lowest weightdrops came on the mornings after the day when I'd eaten the grain serving, so I cut it out and my losses improved. I also am seeing improved losses with the addition of cottage cheese (more protein). And of course I drink as much water as possible! I'm using Mio water flavors and I swear I have to STOP myself from drinking the water so fast, I down entire glasses in seconds it tastes so good lol. |

![]() I am a bit of a newb so trying to explain this in the correct sciencey way may not happen, but I'll try to do it so it makes sense.. The HCG keeps your body from thinking it is starving by utilizing those built of fat stores in your body. Whatever Calories your body needs that wasn't given to it in food, is then taken from those abnormal fat stores all over your body. Eating 500 cals without the HCG, your body starts using anything and everything to sustain itself. Sure you lose fat but you'll also lose muscle and other GOOD things in your body. Your body will make a last ditch effort and basically burns anything it can to feed itself. Not good. Also, your body will start trying to hold on to every little bit of calorie that you put into it, because it thinks you're in starvation. Once you go back to eating normally your body will hold onto fat and try to store it in preparation for starvation. This makes it almost impossible to keep any of the weight off. That said, HCG is crucial to having success on this diet. |

Embee -- really glad to hear you haven't lost muscle -- that's great!!!
I'm still watching with interest to see what works for you ladies. I'm trying hard to resist doing another round, but I don't know how long that will last -- if I start having any success at all with the Atkins variants I am doing, then I will keep that up -- and that is the plan, at least for now -- |

My veggies and meats are all protocol.
I'm a bit vague but I think protocol allowed for cottage cheese subsitution for protein once a week (If I'm wrong please someone correct me!). So even then that's only SLIGHTLY off protocol, I'm just eating it more often than what protocol would allow, and in addition to already having 200g of meat in the day. If I know I'm gonna be eating a meat that is higher in calories I'll down it to 80 grams since I know I'll be getting extra protein from my "dessert". My body loves protein ![]() My calorie count has never reached 500 though. I'm always hitting around 400. Yesterday I was 388 though which made me think I might wanna go ahead and add in that 2nd fruit again. Scared of underdoing it, but don't wanna kill the great losses I've been having. |
