MB -- I think you definitely should be proud of yourself --I don't think pride is a bad thing, except perhaps pride in the biblical sense, which I interpret to be more like hubris.
Whoo hoo on the lifting! We have NEW TOYS in our gym! My roommate got some birthday money, and she chose to add to the gym equipment with it -- so we got a second weight bench with ... a SQUAT RACK! I have been wanting one of those for a very long time!! We're about to start a new system for working out -- it is Cathe Friedrich's STS (Shock Training System) series. It's in three cycles -- the first cycle is focused on muscle growth, the second on endurance, and the the third on strength. So, we need to do initial tests to figure out what our 'one rep max' is for each exercise, and then we can launch into this whole new way of training. It should be an adventure -- and Cathe Friedrich doesn't disappoint.

Alternatives to apple day?
SUPER FRUSTRATED TODAY! Was 176.4 again for the fourth day. I'm on day 6 of my 4th round and have NEVER had a stall this long, this early on before. I usually lose like gangbusters well into the second week. No cheats and eating the same exact things I always eat on plan.
I tried an apple day in my second round once and only got to about 1:00pm and it made me violently ill--migraine, nauseous etc... I'm guessing it had to do with low blood sugar spike/drop since the same exact thing happened to me a few years ago when I tried the Master Cleanse (lemon juice, maple and cayenne pepper). I am a known "protein type" so my body just needs protein and doesn't do well with all sugar and carbs. I know you can also do a steak day but again, I don't think I would do well not eating anything until dinner due to blood sugar issues. Has anyone tried anything else to break a stall in P2? I was thinking maybe just eating grilled chicken breast all day but staying under 500 cals. Thanks for any advice!

You are not alone. I have been stalled for a week now. 173 is stuck on my scale. I tried the apple day, no loss. Fage day no results. Uped my water still stayed the same.
I took a 10 mile walk yesterday and today. I was thinking well the scale will move up but at least it will move. Nope STS. My clothes are getting too big so I know why it's called pounds and inches. I still dont like it. I will finish out my 23 days and enter p3. Once in p3 I will be happy to be stuck and be stable. So this round didn't help with weight loss but I am a smaller size. my body might need a break. Off to the mall to get a few smaller things |

FUNNY MOMENT
Okay you definitely have to use your imagination to see this, but today I was helping my hubby mow the lawn. When suddenly the little riding mower became "possessed" and I was doing doughnuts around and around in the yard...hahahah One neighbor was driving by stopped to see "what in the Heck are you doing"...lol (much to the NON amusement of my hubby, the steering went out...hahaha,) Wish I had video of the moment.
Secondly those who are doing a bit of rogue with HCG, here is a super simple squash recipe. Layer zucchini or yellow squash (or both ) with parmesan cheese... Bake at 500 *yes 500* for 15-20 minutes...YUMMMMM good with anything. I personally wonder if just one layer would be good with parmesan on a cookie sheet, I did 4 |

Howdy, lovelies!
Still no scale change over here -- it's day two of no dairy for me. I feel a bit better physically, but the scale weight isn't budging. I guess there's nothing to do but just ride through this -- TOM is pretty much finished, but all the hormonal stuff is still hanging on. I am hating perimenopause Sorry to hear about all the stalls and frustration -- but if inches are coming off, then that is victory in itself. Apple days never worked for me -- didn't move the scale, and made me feel awful, too. Just wishing you all a good and successful day. |

Hello Everyone,
I just started HCG drops July 5th and I have lost as of Friday 10.1 lbs. and 12 inches. BUT, then Friday night we had Pizza and then Sat. I had two beers. I am up 9 oz. Back on today but I am alittle rogue. I have creamer in my coffee and I have salad with alittle olive oil or coconut oil. I have used the injections last time and had no hunger. This time with the drops very hungry, stomach growling all the time. Any help on this? Also alot of headaches which I didn't have on the injections. Also do I have to stop the drops with my period? I didn't when I had the injections. I appreciate any help. I think I will go up on calories to 700 though. I was at 800 on the injections. Thanks Kim

I never have stopped with my cycle, I was told I didn't have to with the drops. I do know I did get a little hungry, but not that much. Are you sure your drops actually have hcg in them??? I dont get hungry with the hHCG. Also my plan is 750 calories so that could be why |

Last yr I did 1 full round and then completely failed twice after that. My son had left for the army and I was an emotional mess. I cried every day for weeks! I still cry once in a while bc I miss him terribly. But I can focus now. My last attempt was about 3 1/2 mos ago.
So now I'm gonna see how long I can ride this round out before I have trouble and I'm going to do a full P3 and some P4 so I won't be cycling. I think that was part of the problem too. I'm hoping my loss sticks! I've never had losses so big before.

Just checking in. I survived loading! (Yah! me!) I HATE HATE HATE loading. but I think I did a good load.... may have set a new record (gained almost 10 pounds
). and I am so bloated and inflamed and congested and just generally sick. BLAH! even tho I tried to make my choices high fat, I ate carbs (and of course my friends and family helped out...). Complex, simple, and that ole foe sugar. UGH. NEVER AGAIN. once I complete this round, I am never going back to the "carb" side. This is the "old" me. My hip hurts so bad I can hardly walk! (never bothered me after the first week of R1) My stomach, well, I gained back a lot of those 8 inches I lost on the last round (temporarily, I know). Big bloated belly! and I feel, how is it my dear low-carb-for-life sister put it... yes, HUNG OVER. miserable. sluggish. wasted. OLD. ![]() I think maybe this is ONE of the big points of loading: to remind us of how we used to feel when we ate all that junk and make us look forward to healthy (albeit VLC) healthy eating again. I know it worked for me. I am EXCITED about today and excited to get the "new me" back! gonna do a clean (ok, roguishly clean) round, veggie style. VLCD 1!!! bring it on!!

soooo, there is this little thing called life...my weekend was really good....got to spend lots of time with great friends fri-sat-sun...but, my round seems to have gotten interrupted. i have just lived this weekend, but feel like the damage wasn't/hasn't been catastrophic. i was supposed to change my patch today, but i just took it off and will leave it off....am supposed to have company tonight...lunch with a friend tomorrow...in the city all day with kyle and his surgery on wed...evening plans with a friend on thurs...then fri-sun hubby and i are running away. my sister is giving us 2 nights away without kiddos. sooo, as you can see sticking to protocol is/was difficult this weekend and the coming week. i feel ok about it and am not about to let food get in the way of enjoying my coming week....i will simply do my best to have balance and see how all my combined woe's will mesh together --- no-s, IF, LC, JUDDD....gonna mix 'em all up and use fragments from each as i really do like the elements of each of them, i just need to mesh them together in a way that suits me. as far as i know, once this week is over, i *should* be able to go back to my patch so i can keep losing for our cruise...but will need to order more patches. i have 3 left which is 9 days.

Off to run my morning errands...No losses for me today :/...actually a .5 gain, but that is typical for me. Did jump up and went to a water toning / deep water fitness class this morning. Tonight is Aqua Zumba, I better make sure I get the extra protein. Someone tell me again WHY we aren't supposed to exercise. This is the ONE thing I cannot let go of, especially since it too long develop the good habit and love for it. |

EmBee, as I recall from P&I, it's recommended to not START a new exercise program, but one that is already well established is ok. Within reason, of course. Probably not training for a marathon, LOL!!
I think for a similar reason, a lot of diet plans put a time limit on exercise, such as 45 minutes a day, max. |
