Spaghetti Squash!!!!!

I have never ever tried baking this thing LOL....

Hubby thinks it's hilarious, he isn't home now otherwise I'd leave it to chef man...but rather than stare at youtube videos, anyone have a way to make it that is tried and tested and they like it?
I was thinking of just slapping some butter, cinnamon, and nutmeg on that baby and calling it a day, but open to ideas!!

Ummm...and do I just slice it down the middle?

About.com has a decent recipe for cooking a Spaghetti squash,
How to Cook Spaghetti Squash - Step by step recipe instructions.

After cooking, you scrape the flesh out of the hull...(looks like chopped spaghetti!! ) then you can use it for sweet or savory...

Mix in stevia/cinnamon/butter for sweet...OR Add pesto, white, or tomato sauce, or toss with a salad dressing you like...for more savory.

Mostly it can be served where pasta "was" in a meal.

Enjoy!!!

Oh that's great thank you! I'm gonna make a sweet version as I'm roasting a chicken. I am curious to try a savory version, it's such a versatile veggie!

My favorite way to eat it is with meaty spaghetti sauce on it. Yummmm....thinking about it is making me hungry.

Sounds soooo good! I made it with butter cinnamon and nutmeg and added pecans so it was like a thanksgiving casserole lol. Totally not my style in summer but I was cold due to all this rain
