Miss Latte--I will do 42 days I hope. I have alottttt to lose.

So far so good...I've even only had water so far...and you are speaking to a highly addicted Diet Pepsi drinker....HIGHLY. I'm going to try and wean myself in this round to eliminate it from my life. I know I should cold turkey but I think it will be hard enough sticking to food protocol. Usually by now I have had several before lunchtime.

for lunch I blended up half a tomato and some cilantro and soaked my portion of shrimp...added a little bit of chopped cucumber.

wish I had a scale
First off.... KUTGW on stopping the diet soda!
You really should invest in a scale because you need to be exact on the raw ounces of the protein. I have an old one from years ago when I went to WW.

You will see loss with giving up the diet pop.Worse stuff in the world for you. I hardly ever drink any kind of soda anymore.Ever once in awhile maybe once a year I might have a diet root beer.

This is my 2nd round and I have switched to RX HCG so I am hoping it will work better for keeping my hunger down. Today is only my 2nd day on it and I gained one lb this morning. But it may be a load day gain as I lost the second load day? It is an up and down thing. But if you keep on protocol and do it right it will come off.
Keep posting it helps and we all need encouragement and hugs from time to time

If you're going to get a carton of liquid eggs, I would suggest getting pure egg whites to mix with your whole eggs. Egg beaters are egg whites plus a bunch of fillers, artificial color, and vitamins to make up for the missing yolks. You could probably find straight egg whites right next to the egg beaters. Check the labels!

Just my opinion, but since part of the purpose of hCG is to reset the body somewhat, it's probably best to keep as many chemicals as possible out of your food. Obviously, your decision!

Thanks Cocoa AND Shelby I won't bother with them then. I had one egg AND 3 eggwhites for lunch and I still am not hungry those work good for me. Going with PH2 Chili and melba tonight!

I found this recipe today for all you PH2ers.

HCG Ground Beef Chili and Cabbage by Claudia Mason
•100 grams of Extra Lean Ground Beef
•1/8 teaspoon Salt
•1/8 teaspoon Pepper
•1 clove fresh Garlic
•1/8 teaspoon Chili Powder
•1/8 teaspoon Cumin
•1/8 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
•1 teaspoon Achiote Mexican Seasoning (A Mexican seasoning made from Annatto Seed) Most powdered form of this spice is HCG safe, but always double check.
•2 cups Green Cabbage
•1 HCG Safe Grissini Stick

To make this HCG recipe, start by browning the ground beef in a small non-stick skillet with salt, pepper, garlic, chili powder, cumin and cayenne pepper. Steam the cabbage in a separate pan. Once the ground beef and the cabbage are done cooking, add them together. Add a teaspoon of Achiote Mexican Seasoning. Serve this HCG recipe with 1 HCG safe grissini stick. This HCG recipe is safe for Phase 2 of the HCG Diet. This HCG recipe counts as 1 HCG meat, 1 HCG vegetable, and 1 HCG 'carb'.

AND a couple more...

HCG Apple Pie Crumble
•1 Apple

•1 HCG Safe Grissini Stick
•1 packet HCG Safe Stevia

•1 1/2 tablespoon Cinnamon (1 tablespoon for apple, 1/2 tablesppon for crumble)

•2 tablespoon Water

To make the HCG Apple Pie Crumble, core the apple and remove seeds. Crush grissini stick. Mix mix grissini powder, stevia, and ½ tablespoon cinnamon in small bowl. Seperate this mixture into two seperate bowls. Add water to half the crust mix--moisten and begin to press crust into soufflé dish. Cut apple into thin slices and toss together stevia, 1 tablespoon cinnamon, and a splash of water. Place apples into dish and cover with the remaining DRY Melba mix. Bake 450 for 15 minutes. Remove the HCG Apple Pie Crumble from the oven and enjoy. This HCG recipe is safe for Phase 2 of the HCG Diet. This HCG recipe counts as 1 HCG fruit serving and 1 HCG 'carb' serving.

HCG Diet Applesauce •1 Apple
•3 T. Water
•Powdered HCG Safe Stevia (to taste)
•Cinnamon (to taste)

To make the HCG diet applesauce peel, core, and dice one apple. Place diced apple in mini-crockpot and add water & cinnamon. Cook the HCG applesauce mixture for at least two hours. When finished, mash with fork or place in blender to reach desired consistency. Next, add a HCG safe brand of stevia. Serve warm or refrigerate and serve the HCG applesauce cold. This HCG diet safe applesauce recipe is safe for phase 2 of the HCG diet. This HCG recipe counts as 1 HCG fruit serving.

You are so very welcome. I searched the Internet looking today as I get so bored with the same stuff. I can't have grapefruit because I take Lipitor and I love red grapefruit or the pink.

I had PH2 chili tonight I really like that.

CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR LOSSES KUTGW

Hey Everyone,

Sorry I couldn't post much yesterday. My husband got a job for a few days staining and painting some things at a friends huge, gorgeous house, so I was there all day helping him. Was pretty fun, but hot! In the 90's!

And after a three-day stall, I am finally down a half pound this morning. So for my first week on round 2, I am down 6.5 pounds! Almost a pound a day! Yay!

I'm off for another beach day. Hoping to not get burnt like I did last time.

Have a good day, everyone!

Good morning.
UUUGGGHHH!!!!!!! I'm the same weight as I was Monday!!!! What is up with that???? Since this is my third day at the same weight (no inches lost) when can I do an apple or egg day and which is better? This is VLCD 20 and I'm down only 14 lbs! AND I'm doing everything according to protocol! I'm over 200 and have a lot more to lose. I'm starting to get depressed!!!

Hi Desma~

Just keep on truckin'!!!! It will drop soon! I have stalled before (week before last-10 days w/ only a .4 loss) and it does get discouraging...then I dropped 4.6 lbs. last week.

A true stall lasts much longer than 3 days. If it continues for another 4-5 days...then maybe an egg CD...which is TOTALLY ROGUE. I used it and it did help with the stall for me, but be cautious it may backfire due to it not being protocol. I ate 7 eggs total~B: 2 fried w/ a lil' butter, L: 3 egg salad w/ TBSP. mayo, and D: 2 egg omelette w/ cheddar cheese/salsa. I did not lose the following day, but I started losing big on the 2nd day. I tend to be a 2nd day loser/gainer...lol.

Desma That is what this plan is like. Some ups and downs but if you are sticking, strictly with protocol it will come off. Just drink, drink, drink, when you think you have had all you can take.... then drink a litlle bit more
Try herbal flavored teas and crystal light if you are sick of water. Also remember it's POUNDS & INCHES!You may be losing inches. Don't get discouraged dear it will work.Just look at all the picutres posted all over this thread it's proof it works and they aren't photo shoppedGo to All Phase thread or the PH3&4 I don't remember which but several have posted before and after pictures. Also we are not to do CDS on PH2.Be patient and let the HCG do its job it wil work. We did not gain over night and we aren't going toloose it all over night. I am looking at another ten to 11 or 12 more months. But I am getting there!!!AND YOU WILL TOO!!!Also Desma listne to C'Marie she has lost over 100lbs on HCG she had been thorugh it all she knows what she is saying

Today is VLCD2 round 1. I lost 4.6. Broke down last night and got a scale so i can track my losses. even though it's a very huge issue for me letting the scale determine my emotions. I have the WL Apocolypse book on reserve at the library and i hope it comes in today...I think from what I've read it will help.

another big thing that knocks me off plan (i've been knocked off many plans hundreds of times...grrr) is having to "think" about food. So I decided I will make lunch and dinner for at least 5 days ahead of time and eat the same thing every day. I can switch it up after a few days and have it ready without any time to "think" about eating what the family is eating.

I'm at the tail end of TOM and having pretty bad headaches and cramps but i'm going to try and not take ADVIL...which I pop like candy. I have a history of terrible migraines and now alot of arthritis type body pain.

I had 3 diet sodas yesterday. that's about half of what I normally have. I'll try to limit myself this first week to 2 a day. its going to be harder than the food part. I have no choice...I have no more do-over cards in my file...I just feel like its now or never.

Hi Missy
You can do this. If I can do it anyone can. I am no way near my goal but I am getting there LITTLE ALL THE TIME. Just like I gained it. That is one thing I have to keep remembering. If I stay withthis which I will. By this time next year I should be at about my normal weight. Which I can not ever remember being at a normal weight.

I have been on every plan there is I think. From grapefruit to Weight Watchers to South Beach to Atkins to cabbage soup, To Provida 6 week make over. I could go on and on. BUT this works. When I see a loss nearly every day it keeps me going. It is when those gains pop up I get discouraged like everyone else. But the longer I am on it, the more I realize that it's normal to have ups and downs. and know that it will come back off if I stay with protocol!

CONGRATULATIONS on the drop in diet soda. Try each day to drop one and then replace it with some herbal teas. I love the True Blueberry and Constant Comment by Bigelow. Or use Crystal Light. It really isn't all that great for you though either. The teas can be made hot or cold.I like adding sweetner to mine.(I'm a sweetie)
Remember to eat a different protein for each meal. I hope that works for you.

Here is a saying I heard a long itme ago and Ilike it alot.

"DIETING IS HARD... BEING FAT IS HARD.... PICK YOUR HARD"

I core, peeled and sliced the apple...
Put a about 1/4 c water over them.. sprinkled cinnamon and sweetner over that.Put into a small custard cup. Then took my melba and crushedi t in a stirage bag and sprinkled it over the apples. Then some more sweetner and cinnamon.Baked it until the apples were fork tender.OH MY GOODNESS. It's a keeper PH2 recipe

AHHhhhhhh - petite steak for dinner. YUMMY.

Glad to see everyone posting. I have had a frustrating day all around. I really just wanted to yell at someone, anyone, for anything LOL. Good thing I am not like that. At least I verbalize it as a warning - when I walked into my office I told my assistant - "watch out, I'm really having an angry feeling day and I don't know why," and she said, "Danger, Will Robinson!" and told the other assistant to watch out for me LOL.... those two are just wonderful. They help me out so much. I could NEVER yell at anyone like I feel I want to, when I just want to SCREAM I just try to laugh instead. Or I fuss a bit or vent a little. I don't want to stuff my feelings and then EAT. OMG NO NO NO!!!!! so my supportive staff is very nice to have. Thank God for them! Keeps me sane.

We have just had so many little and some not so little frustrations in family life and also in my work/business life and also in my private life right now if I was more of a drinker and not on P2 watching my P's and Q's I'd be having chips and tequila! But I can't have either right now so I won't! LOL

I think I'll go pet the cat and distract myself

@Berta, I use eggwhites all the time. I like to make shakes with them (the homogenized kind in the carton) with my fruit and some spinach and a sweetner. Then I can have one hard-boiled egg for the rest of my protein, or sometimes I just have a lot of eggwhites and no extra egg for the protein. I do that alot because I like beef. If I have beef on a day I balance it out with something with really low calories and no fat for the other protein.

What did you want eggbeaters for? a recipe?

I KNOW the scale messes with me too, but what's the alternative? I ignored the scale for years because I had no hope that I could ever be a "normal" weight and I refused to even step on the one we had. Like ever. Now, I am merely "overweight" and not "morbidly obese" LOL - something to celebrate!

I'm in school too but I'm alot older than you.
Like A LOT older than you.

Hello,
I just started my very first hcg round this week. I can't thank all the members on here enough for all the advice and posts that help one another out. I have been able to learn so much from reading many of the posts. I was pretty freaked out about the loading and have gained 4.5 lbs on my first day. Just finished stuffing myself for day 2 and horrified to look at the scale tomorrow. Is it common to have this rapid of weight gain in 1 day of loading????

@ Berta, I have had sparkly water on P2. I like to use a mineral spring water with a flavor I add

And you can decide to skip weighing on P2 if it is freaking you out - IF YOU KNOW YOU ARE PERFECTLY PROTOCOL.... yes, I was "emphasizing" LOL.... but we must weigh on maintenance so we can quickly correct.

Welcome, Chesapeakes! YES, people do gain quickly on loading days - but it's just to get the fat floating in your system while the hcg ramps up. It'll come right back off. It's not going to "land" anywhere like your rear it's all good. Just adding kindling to the fire for now. Concentrate on low carb if you can, avocados, olives, cheese, sourcream are my faves for loading - and something to scoop them all up - I've used baked pepperoni chips YUM. But anything will do.

You will likely get a detox headache and maybe flu-like symptoms as you go through your first few days. If you are a coffee drinker, please don't skip that now! You don't have to go clean all at once. I love me some coffee. When in detox I usually take an aspirin or two and try to get some extra rest. Drink lotsa water. Drink it with lemon juice (the real kind) and some stevia or a more natural sugar free sweetner. I like to start my day with a warm lemonade OR a celery-lemonade smoothie. Very cleansing. Either one of those may help you get that water weight off quickly and make you feel better.

Did you see the recipes I posted yesterday? I am going to try to find more today if I have time.
Thanks Berta! We did have a good time. I'm grateful live near beautiful Lake Michigan. It really is awesome! Hope you can experience the beach some day. The waves are great fun! And that is a hilarious story about your husband taking you to the beach! You are too cute!

I did see the recipes you posted. They look great! I'm going have to try them! Thanks for posting! And congrats on losing 3 pounds yesterday! That had to be encouraging!

My weight stayed the same today. But that's okay. I usually slow way down in the second week. So I'm just going to ride it out.
