How to take the HCG pellets...please help...
I am a little freaked out...the liquid seemed so much easier to me but I bought pellets this time because I have heard such great things about them. So I have a lot of questions...
When I try to get three pellets out of the bottle I ended up with four - what do I do with the extra one? My understanding is that you toss it out...is that right? Why can't it just go back into the bottle? I ended up tapping them into a spoon because when I tried using the cap they got caught on the inside threading/rim of the cap and I couldn't drop them into my mouth. Ugh. What other ways can I use to get them out of the bottle? Once they come out of the bottle can I touch them with my hand or do they need to go directly from spoon into the mouth and what is the reason for this? If I tap too many into the cap can they just go back into the bottle since they are in contact with the cap already? With the liquid you had to sort of protect them from any temperatures that were too hot or too cold. Is it the same with the pellets? I would love to think that I can go camping and not worry that they will go bad. Also, you were supposed to "activate" the drops by tapping the bottle on your hand a few times before taking them. Do I need to do something like that with the pellets? Ok - I am sure that I will get used to them but right now I feel a little nervous about them. Thanks for any advice that you can offer. Jody

I wish I could be of more help, but I'm also new to pellets and have some of the same questions.
When 1 extra pellet comes out, I throw it away. I wouldn't want to waste a bunch of them, though. I use the cap and then pour them onto a spoon because I'm afraid that I might accidentally touch the cap to my lip or teeth. When I've gotten a pellet stuck in the cap, I've used a brand new toothpick (right out of the box) to dislodge it. Hopefully, that is okay. I have touched one or two of the pellets when they rolled off the spoon. I put them back on with my fingernail and then poured them under my tongue. I'm on my 3rd day and getting a bit better a handling them. ~Tinker~ |

Thanks Tinker. I read in one of the threads that someone (can't remember who) removed the cap insert and that helped with getting just the right amount out as well as you can put them back into the bottle if they have only been in the cap. I think that sounds like it would be ok - what do you think?

I used tweezers and took the plastic thing out of the lid. I tap the pellets into the lid and I do tip the extra back in, I didn't know this was bad.....My losses are slow but I do not have that much more to go, not sure if this is why they are slow.

It can go back in the bottle as long as you have not touched it with your hands. I ended up tapping them into a spoon because when I tried using the cap they got caught on the inside threading/rim of the cap and I couldn't drop them into my mouth. Ugh. What other ways can I use to get them out of the bottle? I dump a bunch of them into a plastic bag then push the required number of pellets onto a spoon, inside the bag. I don't touch them and I get the right number every time. Once they come out of the bottle can I touch them with my hand or do they need to go directly from spoon into the mouth and what is the reason for this? No you should not touch them with your hands. The oils on your hands can interfere with the homeopathic. If I tap too many into the cap can they just go back into the bottle since they are in contact with the cap already? Yes. With the liquid you had to sort of protect them from any temperatures that were too hot or too cold. Is it the same with the pellets? I would love to think that I can go camping and not worry that they will go bad. I think the pellets are more stable than the liquid. I don't think I would leave them someplace >100 degrees like the glove box of your car but I think you would be fine if you kept them in your purse or the tent or something. I didn't refrigerate mine and they were fine. Also, you were supposed to "activate" the drops by tapping the bottle on your hand a few times before taking them. Do I need to do something like that with the pellets? No activation necessary with the pellets. HTH. ( Jody!

Thank you SO MUCH for the info Shelbyla
...I have been struggling with those jiggly little buggers. I totally love the baggie idea. Can I tap a few pellets into the baggie then if there are extras just leave them in the baggie? I would keep the baggie in a drawer in my bathroom. Or can I shake them from the baggie back into the bottle? What do you think? |

Hmmm. Glad I read this! This is day 2 of my load for R1 and I've been holding them in my hand (for like a second or two) before popping them under my tongue. They seem to be clumped together a little at the top of the bottle. They were that way when I opened the bottle the first time. Maybe I'll use a toothpick as needed to declump them and then I'll try putting them in the cap. But I do love the baggy idea! Seems easiest. But, I wonder too, about keeping them in the baggy for days at a time? As long as they're kept out of the sun, I wonder if that would be ok?
BTW, Jody, congrats on your success so far with hHCG! How inspiring! Last edited by mommy2boysaz; 06-24-2012 at 06:43 AM.. Reason: Forgot to add |
