Way too much time on my hands!

Help, I Need Opinions Please!
Can you guys help me with this decision....
Here are my stats: Round 1: P2 Days were 5-3-11 to 8-5-11 (66 day round) Lost 21.5 pounds P3/P4 Days were 8-6-11 to 4-28-12 Starting weight - 184.5 LDW - 163.5 Dr. Simeons recommends at least a 6 week interval between Rounds 1 and 2 and mine was (8 months + 3 weeks) Gained 10.5 pounds back during interval Round 2: P2 Days were 4-29-12 to 6-6-12 (35 day round) Lost 12.5 pounds Starting weight - 174 LDW - 161.5 Today, 6-16-12 is P3 Day 10 and I was 161.5 yesterday, so I am stabilizing great so far. Here is my dilema. I will be going to Florida on vacation for the whole month of September. It is pretty darn important to me to be able to do another round before vacation starts. The problem is that if I do that, I will only be able to take a 40 day interval between rounds 2 and 3. Dr. Simeons recommends at least an 8 week interval. So I would be 16 days short of the recommended break time. This would put me starting Round 3 on 7-17-12. If I wait until the next time I can do another round, it won't be until 10-15-12 (3 months later). I'm torn. I want to do the right thing and take the recommended time for the break because I realize the breaks are so important for stabilization, among other things. But I also really, really want to get that next round in before my long vacation. Do I take a less than optimal break and chance it? I CAN'T DECIDE what to do! Opinions please!!! I have about 36 more pounds to lose to get to goal if that makes any difference.

I say DO IT!
I had to cut my first round short and was really bummed. So after two weeks of P3, I am back on P2 and have lost 5 pounds in the first three days so far. Some people only do P3 between rounds and save P4 for maintaining after they hit their goal. That is what I am planning on doing. If you have set your weight with P3, don't wait any longer than you need to. I would do your three weeks of P3, then get right back to P2. There's my two cents.

I seem to remember people cycling back when I did the protocol. I know that it seems logical because the clinics here suggest to keep going and not take a P3 break. Very excited to hear how you do! Did you do RX?

6x7=42 minimum 6 week break, 8 weeks between 2 and 3 hmm....
If your break is 40 days, you're only shorting yourself 2 days and 2 weeks. You did such a long break earlier I'd just go for it. It's not like you've done back-to-back rounds. As long as you're stabilizing as well as you have this last 10 days I'd be comfortable- if it were me. Last edited by C'Marie; 06-17-2012 at 12:12 AM.. |
