Intermountain HCG Pellets Contain Sucrose?

Hi guys!

I just received my Intermountain pellets today. I was surprised to see that they contain sucrose. I took my first dose a few minutes ago. They taste sweet. Isn't this a problem, since we are supposed to be careful that our supplements don't contain sugar?

I believe the outer layer is the hhcg...the inner layer is a sugar pill

Okay. Thank you both for responding.

So, then why are we so worried if something like our multivitamin contains a no-no ingredient? We only take 1-2 of those a day. Meanwhile, we are taking 9-12 hcg-covered sugar pills a day?

I guess I don't get the logic behind that. LOL! Is it just me?

I THINK (but don't KNOW) that the sugar on the homeopathics are lactose (milk sugar), might be differently formulated. Most of what I find a problem in the vitamins is the starches used to hold them all together ..... along with dextrose. But you're right. The devil is in the details with this diet. Some people "break" all kinds of "rules" with this WOE and some of us stall on the seemingly stupidest stuff LOL..... That's why usually recommended to do a completely strict round first so you know what your own baseline is - if you vary it after that, well, you know how it's different (or not) for you.

I've taken intermountain pellets with no issue, the sweet taste is a bonus to the bitter/alcohol drops, at least IMO.

I think you raise a valid point.

I still take ALL my supplements on hcg, with the exception of my fish oil.. I'd rather err on the side of health and risk dropping a few less pounds or ounces.

My bottle says that it contains sucrose, which I thought was one of the higher glycemic sugars. But, I am definitely no expert. I haven't been on the IM pellets long enough to be able to evaluate their effectiveness. I guess time will tell.

I do notice that once the sugary taste is released under my tongue, I immediately start craving more sugar. I believe myself to be a pretty hardcore sugar addict, though, being that I have been known to eat Twinkies and Ding Dongs for dinner on a regular basis. LOL.

Thank you, ladies, for your replies!
