P2 Meatballs for the "ROGUE" in you

so....I made some "pretty much P2" meatballs tonight in the CROCK POT.

I used....
2 pounds of 93% ground beef
16 melba rounds - crushed
8 T liquid egg whites
McCormicks Perfect Pinch spice -Italian flavor. (this I did NOT measure, just added to the meat untill I thought I had enough)

I scaled them out to 4 oz each and ended up with 9 huge meatballs. I figure the 32 oz of meat divided by 9 servings is actually 3.55 oz raw product.

I used a liner in my crock pot and they only took 3 hours.

They came out real nice & firm.

I think if you were in "rogue mode" (only because of the egg white)...this would be a keeper !!!!

I guess that these would'nt be P3 good tho.......cuz of the melba rounds, but they look & smell DIVINE. I have already eaten supper tonight, but tomorrow I am having one of these.

As I posted in my "home thread".....I love this idea of the crock pot thing. I am the QUEEN of prep cooking. I cook up anywhere from 24 - 36 chicken breast portions and prescale all of my frozen veges and strawberries when on P2.

Sometimes you just CANNOT be tied to the house and this way....at least for a few hours, you can still multitask. Then, dinner is a grab & heat.

If I made this again....I would probaly cut back on the melba. I bet you could easily get by with using 1/2 that amount and then still be able to actually have the other melba w/the meatball meal for a little crunch action
