Shakes and Berries

Does anyone use a whey shake such as Jay Robb for their protein in a meal? If so do you have any problems with this?
Berries - does anyone use cranberries or blue berries in place of strawberries? I promise - I have read P& I and can recite it in my sleep - just wondering about these two items.
Thanks!

How you stated that is pretty funny. LOL
We are such a loving bunch, we we're not codependent. "I am not your brain!"

So, to answer. I use Jay Robb sometimes. Not too often, and it doesn't make me stall. But it has made some others stall. I have used blueberries too, with no difficulty.

WHENEVER you stray off protocol, I believe, you have to become like a detailed scientist and take note of all possible reactions, in part because each person's body is so different.

Hope that helps, and glad you're here.

Whey protein makes me GAIN on P3, I have tried it on P2 before I discovered that and noticed stall issues, or at least I think so. After doing several P3s and noticing the gain from whey, I wouldn't do it on P2 anymore. Everyone is different though. I have tried blueberries this round only and so far, I haven't noticed issues. I have never done that before this round (blueberries in place of strawberries) but did this time because of inflammation properties.

My first round I did Jay Robb and strawberries almost every day with no issues. In P3 I started to have bloating issues with the whey. Not sure if I will try it again this round coming up or not. I might stick to protocol.

Thank you everyone - good feedback!
Red- lol! too funny!
I agree - straying from protocol is risky. Funny - many friends tell me they gain on protein powder?? I may keep it for emergency situations. Thanks again for the responses!

I did a highly experimental Round Two and found I was able to do protein meal replacements with a protein powder that was made solely from egg white protein. It did NOT taste good, but with a little flavored Stevia and coffee, my taste buds were none the wiser. I did not do whey protein shakes. This one I got at the health food store, no added sugar or carbs, etc. pretty much pure protein. No stalls. It was great when I didn't want to eat or cook!
