Sudden back pain -- HCG related?

A little background. I did 3 shortish (25-30 day) rounds over a year ago and lost 38lbs. I didn't completely P3 and P4 on the last round and fell off the wagon hard (and onto a cruise ship ) and gained every pound back over about a year. I started again this past week. Today is VLCD6. Just this morning I am experiencing sudden sharp stabbing pain in my back on the right side just under my ribcage. I've never had pain like this before. DH is afraid that it's kidney stones. Has anyone experienced this?? Thanks!

Get yourself to a doctor. It's most likely completely unrelated to hcg (and depending on your doctor's point of view they may say it is related when it's not, it's a good scapegoat right now) but whatever it is you need to get it looked at. None of us can give you medical advice.

I totally agree with C'Marie - go to your doctor. I had pain like that (and in the same area) and it was my appendix!!!

Kidney stones are more lower back and hip... but the area youre describing is near your gall bladder and gallstone attacks are a side effect of this diet according to the manuscript... I agree go see the Dr.
