And don't forget that dbunny had a lot of load weight to get rid of---10 lbs I believe is what she gained on her loading days So she is doing well, yes indeed. But there is no secret, just hcg magic. Just follow protocol.

From a post I wrote yesterday...
"The one thing I can say about my successes on P2 is that I am 100% protocol 98% of the time! The only diversions I have had to protocol in ANY of my rounds is I one time I ate about 5-6 oz of steak, twice I had wine, and once pizza (both of which were times I had the wine!) Believe me, there are times that I want to lay my face in a bowl of popcorn, or drown my sorrows in a bottle of wine, but it just isn't worth it. You will be able to have those things soon enough.
I would recommend only doing light exercise, like yoga or pilates. Your body is going through enough without having to keep up with cardio. Just my 2 cents."
I take pellets three pellets 3x day. I eat all my allowed food. I weigh my protein raw, but eyeball the veggies.
I also load quite heavily and lose big time my first 2 days. I eat only what Simeon's Protocol says to. I do not even have the egg or cottage cheese that can be made as an exception. I do use 2 saltines in place of my grissini when I have chili, and so far, no issues...

Not sure what I lost in load weight... for a change, I did not (could not) face the scale those 2 days of glorious gluttony. I have normally 7 to 9 pounds on my load days (total), so I am assuming it is close to that.

Basically it's because I'm reading about other people and the amazing results they have such as 20 lbs in 21 days and 30 lbs in 45 days and so forth. My expectations were high and since I'm not seeing any big losses, it's a little discouraging.
I'm not unhappy with weight loss, I unhappy I'm not seeing the results that led me to doing HCG. I'm over it now. I'm just going to stick it out and pray for the best.

Do you prefer the pellets or the drops? Which works better for you?

Well, I'm back after 2 yrs. I was so excited to start again, but now that I'm on VLCD#8, I'm mentally having a very hard time. I've lost 9.2 I'm happy about, 15ish to go. But this time I am having a very hard time. I'm miserable with all the temptation. Cooking meals for my family etc..... I've been super strict with my diet tho - no cheats. But I thought I'd get back on this board and get charged up. It's a tremendous support!

Hi you guys! I'm just visiting from P3 world.

Remember that this strict P2 part is the easiest part...

You can always have whatever it is you want later...

Every time you go off plan it might take 4 days to recover...

Once you go to P3 you have to stabilize and we know how challenging that can be...

Enjoy the "emptyness" is that even a word? lol

You are in an amazing phase where if you apply yourself you will see fabulous changes within a very short time. Do it right and sucess will come sooner than you think!

You can do this!!!!

I agree. The first time was the best - excitement and hope and fast results. The mental challenges of starting again for the second, third, etc. time is the hardest.

I have always liked this saying:

"EXPECTATIONS ARE JUST A DOWN PAYMENT ON RESENTMENT"

Of course, the other end of the spectrum is catastrophic thinking. Balance. We all strive for balance.

As for me, I'm up 1.2 this morning. Why? Over salting. I had some P2 chili and I prepared it wrong - and then I still wanted to gobble it down. I accept that ups and downs are necessary, and that there is NO way I put on stored fat. (juices, half cup cottage cheese, 1 orange, and chili).

I will just wait it out, and I think I will go find some kelp to feed my thyroid gland, because my guess is that thyroid issues are the reasons for my intense salt craving.

I was reading about the difficulties of different phases. Round two was TERRIBLE for me! Not only did I do just about everything wrong - but it seemed to just fight me all the way! I think, after 23 very disciplined, strict protocol days, I only lost about 4 or 5 pounds. (I gained like ten pounds loading, and it took me the first HALF of the round to lose it!). I never ate waffles or jelly donuts during loading again!!! This past loading was PERFECT for me. I did not stuff at all! But what I did eat was almost entirely fat, with just a tiny other ingredient added to make the fat palatable. (Like some berries with a whole buncha marscapone cheese.)

Well.....we learn as we go. You know, I think a thread entitled: "I have learned: - wisdom from the veterans" would be a big hit.

Wishing you all a great day losing stored fat, building muscle, thinking positive, and for us all to keep our head in the game!!

thanks for posting that. R2 was so hard for me. R3 is better. I am easing into the third week of it and my head is playing games. can't decide to quit or keep going. I know if I quit, I will have a hard time restarting. I really hate food right now, wish I could just not eat at all. Nothing tastes good to me. But I want to get closer to the goal and not stray from protocol (much). the third week is hard because I have gone from 1 pound loss or more per day to about half a pound a day or every other day and its frustrating. had a pep talk with myself in the mirror and will stay with the program but it helps to hear there are others struggling.

the good thing is I am able to lose weight, at about the expected rate and I am not fiendishly hungry. So what if I am having to force myself to eat, thats better than feeling like starving? Days like this I wish I had a fast forward button! okay, rant over, back into positive mode, we can DO this, right?

1-2 pkg art. sweetner (as as much as needed)
place all ingread in a large microwave safe mug
beat well
nuke, stir, nuke, stir til its the consistancy you want

Good morning! R1VLCD3 and I'm so close to losing all of my load weight. It will be gone tomorrow morning plus some.

My refrigerator was getting empty and that always creates eating issues so on the way to work this morning, I stopped and picked up tomatoes, cucumbers, apples, melba toast and chicken breasts and put them in the refrigerator here at work. It's too dang hot and I'm too tired to want to do that after work so now, I'm done!!!! I feel so much better when there are things to eat in the house.

Red, I appreciate your wisdom and "sanity". Thank you for sharing. Can you also give me more information about kelp? How much, what form, etc? Every time I get my thyroid tested it comes back normal, but I have my doubts.

Have a great day everyone.

Hi everyone!

I am new and on my first round. I am on day 13 of the VLCD. I am down 9 pounds overall which is pretty good. I am hoping to lose 15-20 overall. I didn't lose anything yesterday and today I was only down .4. I am starting to get discouraged. I have been doing really well, I haven't cheated once. I am getting to the point though where I am getting sick of eating this way and I feel like I have an eternity to go. It is easier when I lose but the last few days have me discouraged. How do you keep the motivation up when you stall?

Up .5 today... TOM is here, so maybe that is it.. or the fact that I had beef twice yesterday. Who knows, I'm not gonna sweat it.

I'm on my first round also and was feeling discouraged because I was only losing .5 lbs here and there. I have about 40 to lose and today is day 8 for me and I'm down 8 lbs. I'm thinking it comes off in spurts. I'm just going to hang in there because I really want this to work and pray it's going to pay off. I think the closer you get to your goal the slower the weight will come off. Maybe that's why. Since this is my first round I'm going to keep going and find motivation thru low carb friends. The ladies here are very encouraging. Just keep going. You'll kick yourself later if you don't finish it out and will always wonder "what if I kept going".

Happy Birthday to all you girls!
Up .5 today... TOM is here, so maybe that is it.. or the fact that I had beef twice yesterday. Who knows, I'm not gonna sweat it.
Thank you dbunny! I'm down 1.4 today!

Good morning everyone! Down one more pound today. Yay!

Brit, hang in there. I'm a little ahead of you and I'm in that food rut too. There is a tips thread stickied in here, and it's a good read. hang in there! You're halfway through! I've decided I'm going to keep at it til my drops run out on this one.

Happy Birthday PreK Teacher!!
