Hi Desma, I think not weighing on P2 is acceptable as long as you know you're strict protocol and you don't need to tighten up in case you're not losing if you're doing something that might not work. We know protocol works so I wouldn't worry. If it's driving you nuts to weigh sometimes I don't either..... I figure I have a lifetime to weigh!
I'm about the same as I was a few days ago, stress, medications... it's really slowed down the loss for me. I had a rocking first week and now nada I have one more week to go on my short round, and where I am, is where I am. Like Popeye says, I yam what I yam. ![]() And yes, I think yoga pants can get loose! you're doing it!

AW That's sweet! I probably have been substituting the "vegetarian" equivalent, dairy, too much. I have been having trouble eating due to stress so nonfat Greek yogurt just sounds better than meat some days. It didn't seem to slow my losses the first week but maybe it's a factor in the slowdown now. I dunno. Whatever. Only one more week to go of shots! |

Thanks, Desma and C'Marie,
I did load. I ate so much I thought I was going to vomit! I need to change my stats over there, they are no longer correct. I have been hungry though..I'm on day 4. Yesterday was tougher....I think my body over reacted to the loading and I had diarrhea (TMI?). So, I was empty when I started. Today, I'm not as hungry as I was yesterday. I am doing the rx injections. I go to my first weigh in on Monday. Glad to see everyone is doing so well. I watched the Dr. Oz show on it...and I will say that I tell no one I'm doing this. They would think I was insane. I just say I'm eating healthy. Which, I am. Just maybe not a whole lot of food. |

I "think" I'm down this morning - LOL.... I was up super duper early and I was too lazy to take off my light jammies to weigh. Ha! Can I say I also hate that my body fluctuates so much and especially due to time of weighing! Aggravates me. I usually get up around the same time but sometimes I can't sleep so I get up. Or sometimes I don't sleep much at all. I can have a huge difference in the scale due to sleep and I know it's false but it still bums me out. rant over/

@DRM ps there is no such thing as TMI here. We discuss it ALL. LOL Who else ya gonna ask/tell? I waited till I lost the first 75 or so pounds before I told more than a person or two. Everyone judges but they can't fault success.... you oughta see how many people I've referred to my doc or to the hcg protocol. Beats anything out there! but they gotta wrap their mind around it first!

Hi eyecandi!
Ok, on the TOM, as C'Marie says, it is COMPLETELY normal for the hCG to mess with your cycle. I dosed through ALL of my rounds and ended up having 2 VERY heavy periods first round (~7 days each within 30 days), not having a period until I STOPPED the hCG my second round (39 day cycle--scared the cr@p outta me! ), and a pretty constant spotting my third round. After you get off the hCG, your cycle will return to normal but just be prepared for weirdness in the meantime. For ME, I would rather have a slightly wacky cycle and lose 20 pounds than worry too much about it, kwim? It WILL normalize--just be patient.Also--you didn't ask this, but when you say that you are only eating one meal per day, what does that mean? If you are eating all your food at once, you shouldn't do that--Dr. S says only 4 portions of food at one meal (meat/veg/fruit/starch), and no two portions of the same thing at the same meal (e.g. can't eat 2 fruit or 2 veg at lunch). Also, a lot of people do NOT do very well if they get a lot less than 500 calories. You can throw your body into starvation mode. If you are hungry, you should eat all the food. If you are not hungry, it's probably ok to skip whatever but the same rule applies as far as portion size goes. Eating less will not make you lose any quicker and CAN stall you. Just fyi...

I'm GREAT
Quote:
As for my exercise, it really isn't much, just what they recommend for reducing blood pressure, 30 mins. a day. Don't go far, don't go fast, just walk, but on a daily basis, does definitely add up, I also don't have any issues with exercise. I jogged for 15 minutes the day before yesterday because for the first time in a long time it was easy to do, it's amazing how much harder things are when you're carrying around that extra weight, i actually had spring in my stride. I've managed to get my daily average to 490 calories but I'm still fighting with myself to eat. I just set alarms and shove food in my mouth. Appetite...GONE! I do get thirsty..drinking all my water and then some. YUM. |

Hi! I've been on LCF in the past but I am new to the hcg protocol. I started it on the advice of my doctor. Tomorrow will be my first vlcd. I'm hopeful and nervous. The loading days weren't nearly as much fun as I'd hoped. I'm glad to be done. I'm feeling nauseous and bloated.
I have a couple of questions. Has anyone else had heart palpitations? I'm on the rx injectons. It is entirely possible that they have nothing to do with the hcg. I have a lot of health issues. My other question is about what cuts of beef you use. I was at whole foods tonight and wasn't sure what to get. They had a few grass feed options but I didn't want to get the wrong thing. I gained a couple of pounds loading. Hopefully it will go away soon! Looking forward to getting to know everyone. |

![]() I'm on my first round too, which prompted me to start this thread. Ok, I can't speak on the heart palpitations, or the injections. I'm using pellets. However, I use top sirloin or top round beef, plus 97% ground beef. I wish there was a whole foods here!!! And you'll lose the loading weight very quickly so don't worry. Hope this helps! Stay in touch! There are GREAT ladies on here!!!! |

Thanks Desma! I'm feeling really discouraged today. I read so much about how I wouldn't be hungry on this plan and I have been starving all day today. I know it's not my load, because I got in lots and lots of fat. I have an appointment with my doctor on Tuesday but I'm hoping to not be hungry until then! Has anyone had trouble with this, and what did you do? Does it mean my hcg needs adjusted?

Hi Christy,
Keep up the liquids, drink a little homemade chicken broth with no sugar or msg in it, spread out your meals, and ride it out if you can. It's tough, I know. You might need your dose adjusted. You might be feeling "empty" and not hungry and that takes some getting used to. Or you might be hungry just like you say. Examine that for yourself. Dr. Simeons' plan calls for 125iu to a max of 200iu and I have personally have noticed some doctors start people at 200 - 250iu and there can be a "rebound" effect sometimes. I lowered my dose. What dose are you taking? Do you know? I eat lots of celery when I'm hungry. Sometimes celery in the homemade chicken broth! Or hot tea helps me also. Something about the warm broths (I know, not real appetizing in summer) helps me more than cold liquids. You can make a celery/lemonaide slushy. Take a tablespoon of real lemon juice, a cup of water, and 6 celery sticks and some sugar-free sweetner. I use sweetleaf stevia. Put it in the blender. If you don't think your blender will handle the stringy part of the stalks, take a knife and strip them off first. It's really refreshing, frothy, and filling. |

Is there a recipe you use for chicken broth? I've never made it before. I have some store bought organic, though.
I looked at my syringes and they are filled up to 12.5. Does that mean 125? Yesterday and today I wasn't hungry when I woke up and because I slept late I made it till about 2pm before I ate anything. But it seems like as soon as I've eaten I'm hungry for the rest of the day. Yesterday and today I had spinach, strawberries and grilled chicken. I put a little lemon juice with stevia on the salad. I feel weak and shaky today. If this is going to get better I can tough it out. But if it's going to be like this the whole time I don't think I'll be able to stay on it. I won't be able to function cause I feel just awful. From everything I've read, this isn't normal. Is it? Also, are headaches normal? I have had a splitting headache since the evening of my last load day. I am prone to headaches anyways and I normally take Excedrin. I have only taken plain asprin since I've been on the plan. Feeling so discouraged. . . |

Don't be discouraged. If you need to take excedrin, do it. It should get better. You could still be detoxing. Drink lots of extra water and try to get some extra rest. If you need extra anything make it extra protein, maybe eggwhites because they're technically on plan and no fat at all.
Your dosing 12.5 doesn't tell me anything because I don't know what the solution is made of. In other words, I don't know the ius that went into the solution - it could be a weak solution or a strong solution. You'll need to ask "How many IU's is this 12.5 measurement? I read in Pounds and Inches that my dosage is to be between 125 and 200." ASK. This is YOUR BODY. This is YOUR CHOICE. Tell them you are having hunger and shakiness and ask them if they need to adjust your dosage DOWN. Have you read Pounds and Inches? Google ATW Simeons Pounds and Inches manuscript. You really should if you have not. ARE YOU EATING twice a day that spinch chicken and strawberries? You are to have 2 meals. You can choose to eat the same thing for both meals if you want or you can choose different proteins veggies and fruit off the list. Do NOT eat too little, especially if you are feeling bad. I'm sorry you're having a rough go of it. I detoxed like a son of a gun the first time around. Too many years of abusing my body I guess. Now it's not so bad each time I start because I don't let too much cr@p into my diet in between rounds. (((HUGS))) Last edited by C'Marie; 06-18-2012 at 01:12 PM.. |

HI everybody. I am to the part of the round where I don't see the scale move for 3-4 days then I lose about 3 lbs. So, I guess that is averaging about 6 lbs. per week, which isn't bad (just not as good as that first week!). I have about 20 lbs to go before I call this round quits. I am so proud of everyone who is hanging in there.
christyb, I have headaches on the beginning of every round. Have you recently quit a Diet Coke habit? That is what I blame on mine. I am hoping I don't get back on that nasty Nutrasweet this next time and see if it doesn't eliminate all those headaches. I took Ibuprofen and Tylenol for headaches and neither seemed to affect my losses. The headaches went away after 3-10 days for me. One thing I have noticed is my fatigue is worse this time around, not sure why. I am eating enough protein and calories and my activity level is the same. My appetite suppression is actually better. Wondering what anyone does to relieve fatigue???

This thread has been so informative and encouraging to me! I ordered my pellets and they should arrive tomorrow. I've read a fair amount on this forum, which has been so helpful, but I also reserved the Pounds and Inches book from my library, which I'm hoping will help guide me also. I'm excited to begin, but must confess that I'm also still skeptical and afraid to get my hopes up too much... I've lost and gained so many times. Guess I've felt pretty hopeless for a while now. You are all very inspiring, though. I'm glad to have this forum to come to for wisdom and advice from those who've been so successful!
Congrats to all of you! |

My weight has stalled (no inches lost either). I'm at the same weight I was on Monday and I'm starting to think about resorting to desperate measures. I was hoping to lose at least 25 my first round, but it's just not happening. UGH!!! So depressed!
I'm doing everything strictly to protocol. And see this is why I don't like weighing myself everyday. It's messing with my head and now I feel like my day is starting off bad! |
