OOPS! I'm up a whole pound from yesterday. Not sure why, unless it's the alprazolam I took to sleep last night. I didn't sleep hardly any the night before and couldn't fall asleep last night either so I took one. WATER WATER WATER today!

Sorry to hear that C'Marie!
I feel like....no I know that I'm sleeping better since starting HCG. I use to drink and taking sleeping pills in order to sleep (I know that's bad) and did so for years. I knew my reasons for why I did it and I'm glad the HCG has kicked me of that habit.
Hope you have better sleep and better releases!

Yahooo for my champion p2ers!!!!!!!! Desma, you are right about the grapefruit -- it is half of one per serving, but a lot of people save the fruit and eat it all at one time (both servings) and it doesn't seem to be much of a problem ... the protocol says to eat half at a time, however.

C'Marie -- sorry about the bump up -- I'd almost put money on it being the meds that are to blame, but you need to do what it takes to get to sleep.

Some people sleep incredibly well on hcg/hhcg -- and I am not one of them I tend to get insomnia on it -- it has happened every time I've taken it. Poor sleep equals poor losses for most of us, too.

I am jumping up and down with joy for you gals... you are all doing so well! Desma, it is terrific that you are not needing to medicate yourself to get to sleep -- what an extra benefit! You are rockin' this round!!

I am so happy you are seeing your results, knew they'd come. I had a 'forgot i'm on a diet' breakdown and had 2 tacobell crunchy taco supremes. Gained 1.5 pounds. took 2 days to get back to last weigh in.

Strange new occurrence however, I have very little appetite. Haven't increased HCG, haven't changed a thing. Just NOT hungry. Shoving food in my mouth and chewing. Today was REALLY bad. I've only been able to choke down 230 calories, this CAN'T BE GOOD.

Anyone else experience this? Any ideas? Should I use LESS drops?

Weight Loss Progress:

5/30 170.1
5/31 172.1
6/1 171.3
6/2 169.9
6/3 167
6/4 165
6/5 165.6
6/6 164.9
6/7 165.6
6/8 163.3
6/9 164.9
6/10 163.4

You can see the backslide after my tacobell attack.

My husband was trying to convince me to go to the all you can eat buffet. I looked at him with mad wife face and said have you lost your damn mind, I'm on a DIET. I swear, everytime I start losing weight and he notices he does crazy things. Last time he kept asking if I wanted cookies, even baking them at 2AM and feeding them to me in bed.

I was skinny when we met, I'm not sure why he's trying to keep me squishy. The high cholesterol and elevated blood pressure are NO GOOD.

Thank you skinny! I'm unhappy to report that my weight hasn't changed since yesterday. I guess all that jumping up and down was for nothing!

Here's where I think I went wrong:

I woke up at 12 and took my pellets. Drank water only (for the whole day) took my pellets again at 3:30 (trying to space them out) got caught up talking to my sons friends parents until 6:30! Still haven't eaten, but I didn't take anymore pellets I just ate two proteins, two fruits and one veggie. I tried to spaces them out over a three hour period. I was under 500 cal, and now I'm wondering if that's why I stalled.

Any advice seniors?

You aren't "stalled" - a real stall lasts way more than one day You won't lose every single day on protocol. Just remember the days you don't lose on the scale are most likely the days you are losing inches. You really should try to get your food in as 2 meals but as long as you were within your calories you will be just fine. In "Pounds & Inches" Dr. Simeons states that you will not lose every day. If you do not lose for 5 days, then you can do an apple day to break the stall. But, he says those are basically just for a mental lift and staying true to protocol will eventually break the stall.

Is it normal to not njot lose so early in the P2? This is my first ever round and I'm only on day 13.

Absolutely. If you have time, go back and read the hcg weight loss journals. And, you are losing!!!! Sometimes people stall for 5+ days but you have to trust the protocol and know that it is working. You lose comparable inches to the weight. When your body is getting ready to let go of the fat it holds water in the fat cell as a last ditch effort. Finally it will release the water, hence shrinking the fat cell. That's when you see your big whoosh. Don't stress over it - just relax and let the weight loss happen. I know it's easier said than done but if you keep following the protocol you will have fabulous results - both scalewise and inchwise!!!

I agree with GRACIE (as usual) - you are not in a stall. Girl, you don't know what a stall is! I have had one for more than 2 weeks before! No kidding! I didn't bother to do an apple day. I figured "something" was being "fixed" inside me at the cellular level and my body could only do one thing at a time and losing weight wasn't the priority at that moment, and once it was "fixed" then I would lose again-things like prior setpoints etc. This hcg isn't just about the weight loss, believe it nor not. It's just the happy side effect. I know not everyone feels that way, but it's just not another diet. I know, because I've dieted with 500 calories or less and it is way different than how I feel on this stuff. And I didn't lose much if any weight doing it. I've lost 100 pounds with this, and am actually (mostly) able to keep it off and "correct" when need be, as long as I catch it in time and don't make stupid excuses for myself.

Hi Desma and all you P2'ers!

Desma - I'm lurking here and have read the whole thread but I wanted to point something out in case you didn't know... Neither turkey (previous menu) or scallops are on the list of protocol allowed foods. If you are adding some rogue things on purpose, that's totally cool--just wanted to make sure that you knew in case you were trying to follow strict P&I. Good luck in any case! You are doing absolutely GREAT!

(...popping back into my hole now... )

Still not meeting 500 calorie day. EATING REALLY SUCKS. Anyway out of this tailspin. Can't be healthy.

7 day Nutritional Info
Average Calories Consumed 493
Average Calories Burned 405 (i walk a lot, not fast, never sweat, just walk, usually at lunch)
Average Fat 17g
Saturated Fat 5g
Average Sodium 886mg
Average Carbs 49g
Dietary Fiber 10g
Sugars 16g
Average Protein 35g

I mean, it's working out pretty well with 40% carbs, 30% fat and 30% protein, sodium is GREAT!!!! Can I make it with continued 290 to 320 days?

If your burning off most of what your eating, you might want to increase your calories to 800. I know the protocol says light exercise, but your burning an average workout session amount of calories.
Let's see what the experts have to say....

I'd be concerned you are going too low in calories. Are you doing ok on energy and brain power? I'm not being a smart-alek, I'm thinking if you get too low you unnecessarily suffer and can stall..... (((HUGS)))

Thanks for checking up on my C'Marie. I'm doing ok. I was so distraught not losing and weight so soon into this journey that I decided to stick very strictly to the protocol and hold off on weighing myself for a few days. I know! I know! I'm suppose to weigh daily, but it's too much of an emotional tie for me right now and I need to get my head together. I can see a difference when I glance in the mirror and my yoga pants are loose.....can yoga pants get loose? Maybe the elastic is giving way.....who knows. But enough about me....

"How you doing" C'Marie?

Hi Everyone! I used to be on LCF years ago...but, dropped off due to life. Anyway, I have tried every diet known to mankind...and the only thing that works is divorce. So, I'm trying HCG. Today is VLCD 1. I did my two loading days and now, I'm beginning the tougher phase. I'm doing the injections. It sounds like most people are doing tablets or drops.

Anyway, looking for some support through this process!
