P2 Simeon's Protocol Week of 5/28

Happy Memorial Day!! Make it a great week!!

MagieDen 05-28-2012 03:37 AM

Marking my spot and wanted to say take some time out of your day to thank a veteran or an enlisted service man today. Also take a moment of silence to think about those of our fallen soilders and their familes this Memorial Day who so sacrifically gave their lives for us to live in freedom!

Enjoy your cookouts and stay the course!;)

cocoapeanut 05-28-2012 06:52 AM

Weighed in at 163 this morning, one step closer :) I'm secretly hoping to be 160 by Friday but that'll be cutting it pretty close so we shall see.

Happy Memorial Day y'all! Enjoy it!

dbunny 05-28-2012 07:25 AM

Good day, all!
No losses to report today, but I mixed it up a little bit yesterday, so it's no surprise. Went over to a friend's pool party and brought my own food, so I didn't stray in that aspect, but I did forsake my apple and strawberry portions for 2 glasses of wine. I also eyeballed the sirloin I brought instead of weighing it, so I am betting I had more like a 5 to 6 oz steak than 3.5 oz. No matter, I made it through OK and didn't gain anything.
Hope everyone has a great day, and an even better week!

shelbyla 05-28-2012 07:50 AM

Morning all and happy Memorial Day! Well, I was up almost a pound this morning but I expected that since I am quite sore from a massage yesterday and I have a little sunburn happening as well. It could have been the extra protein yesterday (had more than I probably should have), it could have been the massage oil, it could have been the conditioner on my hair. A lot of stuff going on but I am betting on the massage. But mmmmmmm, do my shoulders feel loose today! Sore, but loose! It's all good! More sun on tap :), a workout, and some food prep for the week. Starting tomorrow out with some hardboiled eggs, with some real dressing and avocado on my salad, and butter on my veggies for dinner. Aiming for around 1500 calories. Fingers crossed!

TiffanyM 05-28-2012 08:47 AM

Morning y'all! I'm down 11 pounds so far, doing good. I have to work today, so y'all have fun for me too!

Morning all. First day of P3 so I'll be leaving for the P3 thread. I'll keep lurking here though just to see how y'all are doing! I, well, I went a little crazy yesterday... :o No carbs and no sugar but around 3pm, I started eating fat. And wow did I eat it! My poor GI tract! Jeeze. All the things that I said I WASN'T going to eat. Not sure what came over me--it was like an out of body experience!--but picking myself up, dusting myself off, and going forward with P3 today as planned. Still inside my window but right at the tippy top so I am going to be EXCEEDINGLY careful today.

Happy 529 Day everyone... (google it! )

tky72 05-29-2012 06:58 AM

Hi everyone! What a weekend full of fun. Hope all had a great time too. Summer is here in full force. Slipped off track and gained some back but on plan today!

You sound like me with the eating! :hyst: No sense in living in the past though.

No there is no sense in living in the past but to only learn from it and not relive it over and over again. Glad you are back on plan. :)

TiffanyM 05-29-2012 07:39 AM

Shelby, I have some gfriends who are all just moving into P3 today and they all did the same thing. You're going to kick a$$ and take names in P3!

Down a hair bit more today.. I can't wait til I'm not hungry anymore! That should be right around the corner??

annefran 05-29-2012 08:46 AM

Hi! I'm new.

Hi all! I'm new and ready to do this thing! :jumpjoy:

So so excited to see how this all works for me! I am R1P2 day 1. I am already sick of eating fatty foods. I started a little pre-load yesterday...hehe. :o

Getting my self all geared up for my first 500 calorie day on Wednesday. Going to measure myself tonight and then take some pics on Wednesday when I have my husband available to be my photographer :D

I have read lots about this diet. Read Pounds and Inches so am planning to do this by the book. Will be at this board for support for sure. :) I am doing injections, 125iu. I was worried about giving myself the inj, but it's SO easy and painless. Not scary at all, just a little prick...no blood or anything. Goes right into a little fat bulge (which I have plenty of) with a teeny tiny needle. I decided to go with injections since I know I would be bad with the 3 times a day drops. My work schedule is too hectic.

Happy Tuesday all!

Annie

cocoapeanut 05-29-2012 09:06 AM

Yay for everyone's losses today, and welcome back on the track for those of you that may have had a little too much fun yesterday ;)

Shelby - Congrats on a successful round, you did so well!! I'll miss you but I'll be joining you soon in the P3 thread..my last dose is tomorrow - day 40! I can't believe it :)

Tiffany - It does take a couple of days to a week on protocol to adjust, but then you shouldn't be hungry! Drink lots of water and make sure you've got the right dosage!

Annie - :welcome:! Good call on reading Pounds and Inches - refer back to it whenever you need to, as it has a lot of info! I do injections too, I feel like I could be horrible at remembering to dose throughout the day. I'd have to set myself some alarms or something, haha. This board is pretty awesome for support and getting opinions.

---
Day 39/42 on VCLD - weighed 162, yay! Today I will be grooming myself and preparing for my one day trip to LA. Yes, I'll still be on protocol! My last VLCD is technically Friday and I have every intention of sticking with it, even if I do an apple day on Thursday for the sake of not having to worry about unrefrigerated veal burgers

Happy Tuesday!

Prayers needed:aprayer:Not doing good on PH3. Keep going up.Then did a wrong CD day now I am still 3lbs over LDW and I even did a steak day yesterday only down 1.2 today OH MY!

I honestly think I am looking forward to PH2 again!:p:laugh:
Trust you're doing good:up:

HCG? P3? I forgot that I was on a diet apparently.

Back on the wagon today. I was FINE until yesterday when my dear daughter bugged & bugged & bugged for ice cream. Why can't I say no? Oh yeah, because my children know that if they bug me enough I will give in. I sure didn't need to be at Dairy Queen....*sigh*....and neither does my dear daughter. That was followed by a trip to Sirloin Stockade. DISASTER. I was 1.8 over LDW yesterday morning. Despite having a couple of beers Saturday night, I was still hanging in there. Today I was 184.4, LDW was 179.6. I am extremely concerned that I won't be able to keep this weight off in P3, which is what happened after my 2009 round.

Back on today, feeling quite blue & can't seem to shake it off.

Sunnflower
I understand how you are feeling.I have gained the whole time on PH3 and I haven't even had a cheat.:dunno: I think perhaps I was eating to much I really and honestly don't know?I added one thing at a time back and nothing that wasn't allowed.Did my steak day on protocol yesterday and only down 1.2 today so I am still 3 lbs over LDW.

I guess we have to decide for ourselves what it is we want.To stay on protocol or eat. I am honetly ready for PH2 again! When I see the scale drop every day I feel like going on but when this happens I feel like throwing in the towel.

But My DD was here yesterday and I could not believe how amazing she looked. I hadn't saw her since around Christmas and she was so skinny. She is doing RX HCG so I am going to try to give it a try next ROUND.
We just have to go on from here I do not know about you but FOR ME There is no turning back.Because I know this plan works IF I fillow it to the T and don't change it to MY liking.

You are so beautiful I just know WE can do this.Yesterday is gone... today may be all we have so let's just DO IT..OK?:high5::console:

Aww honey, you'll be able to get back down to where you need to be. Eat clean and take care of yourself! There's this book I really like with a page on willpower, and it makes me feel better reading it sometimes (author is totally vulgar but hilarious, and I'm shortening this a bit):

"F**k 'willpower.'

If you struggle to 'do the right thing' when it comes to food, you're not a sloth; your rational brain is just over-booked. Your self-control is busy preventing you from stabbing your boss, shoplifting, and running red lights.

Thus, 'willpower' won't help you much when it comes to eating. It's an overdrawn bank account.

Use stronger stuff: scheduling, structure, social support, space, systems, and strategies.

Schedule time to shop and prepare good food. Structure your life so that it's easy to eat healthy, and hard to eat poorly. Social support is a good way to do this. Hang out with other healthy eaters and cut down on codependent or toxic people.

Organize your space to keep the crap out and the healthy stuff in. You think your 'willpower' is strong enough to keep you out of the potato chips after a tough day of not stabbing your boss? Hah! Make sure the chips aren't there, make sure some tasty crunchy veggies are there, and then you don't have to use your over-booked thinky brain to make that decision.

Use systems like a regular shopping appointment, buying pre-washed veggies, a collection of go-to meals, or whatever else you need in order to streamline healthy eating. Strategize and think ahead. Figure out dinner around breakfast or lunch time...not at 7:15pm when you arrive home ravenous, ready to snort frozen pizza.

Then, the decision is made for you.

Your self-control can return to making sure you wear pants."

I love that, Cocoa!! Thank you for sharing that.

I'm wondering how P3 will be too.. Especially since I'm so excited about it!

Sunflower, Go out and get some of that Texas sunshine.. Maybe that'll help zap your blues. :console:

Awesome post... Just what we all need to hear from time to time. There is nothing like being prepared and supported, and when one of those is out of place, down we go.

Speaking of down, I have lost another pound for a total of 14 on P2D9. Yippee!

Berta, some people go back to eating P2++ which is basically P2 foods with added proteins and fats like olive oil and butter. It helps "keep it simple" with food choices. HTH

Berta~

Why don't you just jump back in to P2...and use this as an interruption? You are less than 14 days, right?

I did the same thing...could not handle P3 mentally (after 13 days)...I felt like I needed to do something...so I was advised to go back in to P2...so GLAD I listened. I've lost 7 lbs. this first week back...so very surprised. I will prolly do an interruption again in a few weeks for a few days...to get some fat in me. LOL...I told my hubby I was stopping to get fat in me in P3...he looked at me and said, you have fat...isn't that what you're trying to get rid of? MEN...lol:p

The reason I did do it...is that I have multiple rounds ahead of me...if I was on my last (or next to last) round, I woulda toughed it out. I have been on low-carb for years--(10-11)...and I am inclined to "eat" low-carb, and protocol is/can be low-carb if you omit the fruits (except strawberries)...so I am in my "element" while on protocol...plus I love knowing WHAT I will be eating/shopping for at ALL times. I am very busy...preschool teacher during the school year and a house full of darling daycare kiddos :aprayer: during the summer.

Thank you for your suggestions but I believe I will just stick with Protocol and do another steak day today and then go back to eating PH2 with more calories and fat.I am concerned if I start tweaking it will backfire on me.
My body does not seem to work like other peoples :dunno::shake:

Also I am going on vacation June 5th so I want to be o PH3 then I am just trying to get back into my LDW window. I think one more steak day will do it and I love steak!!We will see tomorrow morning:laugh:

It is aggravating though as I was 2lbs under my LDW when I started PH3. And I have gained a little every day since. Today is my 11th day on PH3.So I have ten more days to stabilize before PH4. I am really going to watch it during that time too!

Morning ladies I am down -4.2 for the week. I weigh myself privately every 2 days or so and then I post publicly on Wednesdays if there is a gain or a loss. Reading alot about P3 and it sounds like a slippery slope for us all in stabilizing. Good success to all that are starting it. :)

Have a wonderful Wednesday and remember YOU are NOT the number on the scale but soooooo much more. :hugs:
