memorial day picnic

i started R4p2 this last wednesday, and knew memorial day was coming up and all the picnics, well i started anyways, i made potato salad--brats--beans and other yummy picnic stuff including dessert----wow did i want a brat, and some potato salad, other stuff not so much--- but made my p2 lunch and never had one thing, very proud of myself, i am a person that when i have it in my mind not to go off plan i don't, but then there are sometimes i get weak and fall back, but not this time, and i always get back on the wagon if i do----i have a family reunion in august and a wedding in july and need to get off these 20#

how are you all doing over the holiday weekend===i know i have tomorrow left yet, but the picnics are over with---i hope

Whoohoo! WTG! That is a HUGE victory! I am doing well this weekend. I am up a little today, probably from sunburn and a massage, more than food. Sat and watched my gf's eat avocado and cheese on their burgers yesterday. Mine was sf ketchup and mustard on green salad. Yay us!

Thanks Shelby, i am doing great again today---bought some strawberries this morning, so will have that for my fruit tonight---tomorrow i have to take a road trip with my husband, so i am going to pack part of my lunch, i have come to far now to be off program-----this happened last week also, i took my salad dressing, chicken and a melba in a little cooler, then slipped it in my purse before we went in, and then at the restaurant i ordered a lettuce salad with tomoato on it----worked out great, used the tomato as my fruit that day,--- then again on Thursday he has a doctor appt in a neighboring town, and we always stop for lunch, so i will have to do this again-----hope this is it for a while----i don't know what the waitress thinks when i just order lettuce with tomato, she probably thinks i am a vegetarian-----

anyone else have any ideas for traveling while on p2---

I'm taking the girls to the park this evening and roasting hot dogs for them. Am packing 100 g. of frozen shrimp in a little bit of diet-friendly cocktail sauce (homemade w/ crushed tomatoes, horseradish, cilantro, and spices) for myself. We'll all have celery sticks and either strawberries or apple slices for dessert. I'm figuring that by the time the kidlets are ready to eat, my shrimp should be thawed enough to eat.
