P4 Gain-Can't Get Back Down-Need Advice!
So I've been on P4 since the end of March, and have not done well. It's my own fault. I went on vacation at the beginning of P4, and then just "let myself go" for a while. I didn't get on the scale because I was too scared, and so didn't do the corrections I needed to do in a timely manner. Last week I finally decided to face the music and get on the scale and I'm up about 8 lbs over LIW. Now I'm working on getting back down by doing correction days and eating clean in between. I am using a food journal again and am going to the gym almost every day. Unfortunately the scale isn't really moving. I will drop after a correction day, but then it goes back up over the next couple of days even though I'm eating clean. My BMR is around 2100 cals/day, and I'm eating less than that - between 1700-2000/day - which I would think would mean I'd be losing.
I take these supplements daily: Multivitamin Calcium/magnesium Super B Probiotics Digestive enzymes Cinnamon Green tea extract DHEA Omega 3/6 (krill oil) I'm seriously thinking about doing another round of HCG, but really don't want to, especially when I only have 8 lbs to lose to get back down to where I want to maintain for a lifetime, but cannot for the life of me figure out how to lose. At this point, I'm scared to death to eat any starches or sugars (or drink alcohol) for fear of going any higher. I know I can't live like that for the rest of my life. I need to be able to have some freedom to eat those things occasionally. Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated. |
HG - I was right where you were from the end of my "vanity round" in January, all the way through P3 and P4. LDW was 141 and I bounced into the high 140's and low 150's and couldn't get back down. After a lot of experimentation with alternate cd's, induction/clean eating, Leptin-reset, JUDDD, etc., I decided that even though I ONLY had 8 or so pounds to lose, that hcg was the way I wanted to go, more for the re-set than anything else.
I started on 5/5, hit goal on 5/18, and have been spending the last 5 days with slightly higher protein portions to STICK this weight once and for all. I have been inching down by tenths of a pound and LDD will be either Friday or Saturday. I have also been reading Weight Loss Apocalypse which I am banking on helping me to have a more successful P3/4 (great stuff in there--psychoanalysis AND science). Anyway, just wanted to say that even though I only had 8 or so pounds to lose, I am glad that I chose to do another round. HTH |
I have no advice since every time I am 10 lbs over my LDW I hop right back on P2. Even though it is "only 8lbs" I would do a round if I were you. If you lose it fast then good!! You can add in those 300 extra calories so you don't go too low. But it might take you a while. You never know as each round is different from any other. I have always had trouble losing on anything other than hcg. I am planning on jumping to JUDDD once I am done with hcg and hope to maintain using that. Good luck getting it sorted out and let us know what you decide to do!

Thanks ladies. Can you tell me where you buy your HCG supplies? I've been hearing that the Rx is very difficult to find now.
