It is all good and good for you. I could go on but those of us on P2 are drooling now, sorry I know because that is what I could really use right now. Trust this, I know for my first round, I was VERY skeptical and wanted to limit the fat but soon realized I needed it and missed it and it was very rewarding after my first 90 day round. I was posting here "are you SURE?" and I wasn't a believer at first but I was eating 200+ grams of fat a day and stabilized perfectly.

Uh... Chicago here... hello?

On P2 here but I will ask this question I know this has probably been asked and answered a million times. P2 no starch or sugar right? Isn't there starch in SF pudding(the store bought kind) and also AFS in jello and such. I know that low glycemic fruit can be eaten.

I am assuming you meant P3, right, for the no starch, no sugar? If so, you are absolutely right. I wouldn't know if there is starch in pudding--good point!--never checked so a good thing to remember to check labels on. The jello is fine as far as I know for starches and sugars. I've already cautioned Berta about adding in SF sweeteners too soon but I am guessing the amount in jello wouldn't be too much of an issue. Obviously YMMV.

Down a meager 0.4 today for me. I'll take it though! Today is light yoga day with it's usual resulting soreness tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be seeing that new decade sometime soon! Bbl chickadees...

Down a meager .2 today...does that make you feel better shelby?

I'm debating taking a P3 break next weekend for Memorial Day...I've proven to myself I can stay on track. Last dose would be Wednesday night and I would stay on P3 for a week or so. Hmmmmm.....

The only thing I'm really planning that is off protocol is having a couple drinks Saturday night but I can do rum or vodka and Diet Coke. I rarely drink but I'm going out with a friend that night. We are also going to dinner so it would be really nice to enjoy that too if I was on a break!

Good luck, ladies, and have a healthy & BLESSED day!

OH SNAP!! That would be awesome. Nice to see another Chi-town girl Lilac!

Enjoy yoga today Shelby! I'm a yoga fan myself, it makes me sooo sooorrreee while I'm in P2 though I did the stairmaster last night at the gym, whew.

Personally, I'm still at 170 today. *sigh* I'm probably gonna drink my Smooth Move tea tonight to help get things going in the digestive tract. I just never have BMs, which is lame..sorry

You definitely need to check labels on pudding and mixes, I'd say. In case you want to make your own, I've made chocolate pudding out of chia seeds and it was pretty good!

Berta - just save your Walden Farms stuff for your next P2! That's what I would do!

Sunflower - if you want to enjoy the weekend and being with your friend AND as long as you can get back on track for sure, that sounds like a fine plan. Good luck my dear!

to everyone!

I am going to do PH3 to the T as much as I can.I don't see any reason why it would be hard to do.I will eat fat but normal portions along with my veggies.
I think I will only eat one or two fruit a day.Probably strawberries or cantaloupe for a night time snack.Maybe with some real whipped cream.

The SF pudding has corn starch I believe for thickener so that might not be a good idea after all?I couldn't take it Maggie I am going on to PH3 .I still believe if I had loaded I would not have suffered so bad with the hunger issues. But I have honestly just had to force myself not to cheat. And the last week has been little cheats nearly every day.Not alot (except Mothers Day) but a bite here and a bite there. And not really getting anywhwere. So I may as well move on.KUTGW

As long as your casseroles aren't made with potatoes or any other sugars and starches, you can totally have them! I'd stay away from fried chicken though, as it is usually breaded. Get it grilled or roasted, and don't forget to eat the skin When I go Mexican, I almost always get fajitas and ask them not to bring me the tortillas.

That sounds good.I was thinking I could take the skin off the chicken.
If it isn't crispy I can't eat it
I am thinking of making hamburger casserole with cheese, cabbage & tomatoes?I like casseroles

Berta--made this last night for my family. It is my DD's favorite! Low carb is the best for diabetics.

CHEESY CHICKEN BACON CABBAGE CASSEROLE - Linda's Low Carb Menus & Recipes

She eats it for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. I made it once with the bacon, but much prefer it with sausage. Much more flavor that way. LindaSue's casseroles are perfect for P3 because they are low carb!! I make a lot of them, and all of them Amy really does like. I have to get her to make them this summer. Teaching her how to cook will be fun.

I think sausage would be better too.Thank you for the INFO
My biggest problem is this....
I was eating RF things before HHCG and so NOW I have ALOT of lean meat and mayo etc.I don't have the money(being on SSI) to go out and re-purchase alot of items. So would just eating a bit more work? How should I go about this? I even have Light butter & light cream cheese

And can I use lotions and my regular toothpaste and shampoo & condtioners now?

Don't know what "RF" things are but I am guessing low-fat? Save those for your next round. They should keep pretty well!

For P3, you'll need to up your fats somehow. Olive oil and butter are cheap ways to do it (add to veggies) but do get the real stuff, if you can--mayo too. The light butter is usually made with oils which aren't ideal but at least it is high'ish fat. Avocados/guacamole are great. If you are a coffee drinker, add heavy whipping cream (HWC) instead of half n half, milk or "light" creamers to coffee or tea. Add HWC to low or non-fat yogurt to up the calories. Make coconut cream by taking a can of coconut milk (regular, NOT low fat) and refrigerating it. After you refrigerate (do NOT shake the can), you can skim off the "cream" (the rest will be watery), add a little sweetener and some cocoa powder and you will have an amazing mousse/pudding that is almost all fat. After a week or so, add nuts. That will help get your calories up. You can do the same thing with your light cream cheese. Just add a little HWC to it.

Yes, regular conditioners, shampoos, lotions and toothpaste are fine.

Yep RF = reduced fat.I guess peanut butter is ok?I can get the half n half and sour cream and LOVE Avacado. Not crazy about coconut.I'll figure it out!If there were a way of eating more variety on PH2 I might stick with it a bit longer but I just ate lunch and I am starving. I had one egg and 3 whites and a tomato coffee and pint of water. But no HCG except this mornings dose.

I'm just so ready to move on!!!And I think 18 lbs in 24 days is good.My first mini goal was 250 so I didn't make it.But will in PH4
I looked at your before and after photos you did awesome.I sure hope I look that good in a year!PLEASE LORD PLEASE

Is there a special kind of Olive Oil to fry with or just Virgin Olive oil?I will probaly be BBQing on the grill alot since it's nice weather now! Next Friday we are having company and eating Brats so that will be a great source of FAT!

Reduced fat...of course! No, peanut butter is NOT a nut--it is a legume and those are reserved for P4. Some people do ok with it but YMMV (your mileage may vary!). The coconut cream flavor is covered up nicely by the cocoa powder and the sweetener... Also, if you search the forum for fudgey peanut coconut bars you'll find an amazing recipe (perhaps a little TOO amazing ). Doesn't really taste like coconut at all and you can make them with almond butter in P3.

There are a lot of good low carb whey proteins out there. Designer Whey, MetRx, etc. Less than 2c per serving and with only ~3 servings in the bars it's a tiny amount. You can use pretty much any kind of low carb protein powder, though. I've even used powdered egg white and unflavored egg protein and it worked fine. Last time I used chocolate instead of vanilla protein and it was nummy... Protein powder in general is a pretty common substitute for flour in a lot of low carb dessert recipes.

BUT what does it taste like? I am a stickler on taste. If it isn't yummy I don't eat it! My taste buds are strange
Now my DH on the other hand would rather eat it as waste it

Would Almond milk be better than 1%skim milk. OR CarbCountdown Milk?We only buy one gallon at a time as DH uses it too.And we don't really use alot of milk.He won't get whole milk as he is on his own diet.

Just my personal opinion, having learned this the hard way -

If you are a stickler for taste, try to stick with foods that you enjoy in their natural forms and not try to make imposter substitutes. For example, people swear by oopsie rolls but I would rather have NO BREAD EVER than try to gag those down. Same thing with the 3 minute mug cake, almond flour pancakes, ohhhh I could go on. I get the concept that they are substitutions for the bad foods you might be craving, but IMO they don't taste like the originals, the ingredients are expensive to buy, and the outcomes are usually disappointing, so much so that I re-routed my cravings for other, "better" things for my body.

What I did for milk was add water to HWC because I did not like the taste of almond or coconut and especially soy milks. I am a stickler for taste, too! And much of this stuff definitely takes some getting used to taste wise!!

Dawn ask me just the other day on a post if I had met you and I told her no soNice to meet you

I have diabetes2 also. My bld glucose was in the 200's and now this morning it was 118 so it is coming down. I can hardly wait until I have another Drs appointment.Becasue he is dead set against HHCG But he doesn't know I am doing it. I just had a friend tell me so.The thing is he has his OWN diet plan and it's like a 75.00 a weekSo of course he isn't going to want anyone doing anything else.

I agree with you I will probably just wait until I am on PH4 before having bars etc.I do like the almond muffins though.

What is HWC? I also like Almond Milk and Carbcountdown Chocolate milk.I tried Atkins once but didn't stay with it!But with the HHCG I have actually lost very well. Not nearly as well as you did on your first RNd but I gave up just to hungry REAL Hunger all the time even after eating especially have been today.BUT so far I have made it!!!One more day and then PH3

I am making the biggest pot of beef vegetable soup I can and eating the largest Chef salad I canWith Real Buttermilk Ranch!

Also, if you search the forum for fudgey peanut coconut bars you'll find an amazing recipe (perhaps a little TOO amazing ). Doesn't really taste like coconut at all and you can make them with almond butter in P3.
OMG Are those JUST the best thing ever??!! Oh, heavenly

Those bars are great for loading too finished the whole pan in 2 days

Also, get some sublingual B12 5000mg. If you can get the methycobalamin form it is better absorbed than the cyanocobalamin which is more common. A lot of people who are hypo-adrenal, especially on P2, have iron issues. For that I would recommend getting some iron (bi)glycinate which usually comes in 18 or 27mg caps. I would start with ~50mg in the morning and see how you do. If you tolerate that well, start taking 2 at night as well.

As far as food goes, you can probably have more strawberries than 4. I usually eat around 7oz which end up being about 8-10 medium strawberries. I think you might also benefit from upping either your chicken portion or your fish portion to 125-150g (4-5oz). I wouldn't do it with the beef but the other two should be ok.

HTH
Thanks so much for the advice. I do have the methycobalamin in the house & take it randomly. I'll be sure to take it regularly. When you suggest the B100, are you suggesting a B complex? Also, wondering about the iron. Will that "bind" me? I'm not needing that problem too.

Today's energy was MUCH better. I took 2 doses of that vitamin stuff my hubby bought me to mix into water. It's filling and it seems to give me more energy. It's also helped my appetite. Or maybe taking the hhcg has helped. In any event, I'm not even tempted to snack.

That's awesome that you are feeling better! And yes, the B100 is a B complex vitamin. The "100" part usually means it has mega doses of everything. B100s are quite common so shouldn't be too hard to find. I am guessing that it might even come up as a link for our sponsor, Netrition. This particular kind of iron should not "bind" you. Other kinds will but this one is usually pretty well tolerated. Still, ease into taking it if you get some, just to make sure.
