I've seriously had a massage and even rubbed pure coconut oil into my skin and hair, and it hasn't affected me at all. I've read into the science of the layers of our skin barrier and decided that the whole "skin absorbs calories" thing is the one thing on this diet I'd probably disagree with. (I guess I'm rogue that way? Haha) Now, if you still wanna be strict, of course that's totally your call! I just thought I'd share my own experiences in case it made you feel better. You're likely just experiencing a slight fluctuation from water, TOM, etc. Scales don't tell the whole story. Stay positive and motivated - you'll get through it! |

For me, on the lotions, I just figure if I am going to eat 500 calories a day for 3 weeks+, I am not going to let a conditioner or some dry skin keep me from losing weight. It's too much of a sacrifice to me to eat the 500 calories and too important for me to lose the weight to get derailed. Of course, I don't have particularly dry skin and I only wash my hair once a week so it's not as much of an issue for me. I think a lot of people continue to use their regular products and have absolutely no issues. It just wasn't worth it to me to find out!

Berta - I didn't really notice a difference in the amount of weight lost between the pellets and the drops. Honestly, if I were you, I'd just stick with what you have open. It DOES slow down later in the round so that's really what is happening now. Stay strong!

Oooooo! Cocoa, I just realized that you live in Chicago! I'm an Illini, myself. Orginally from the Charleston area (where EIU is). I have tons of friends and family in the Chi-town area and I'll be in Chicago in a couple of weeks to visit my best friend. So...yeah...anyway...

cocoa, Berta & Shelby - thank you all so much!!!!
![]() I will definitely be Christian's biggest cheerleader but I see some challenges in the food department for sure! He is actually pretty active, rides his bike daily, plays soccer, loves to mow the lawn. That definitely means it's his diet. He eats pizza at school for lunch daily & I don't see that changing so I will encourage more water and better eating at home.Berta, he LOVES to swim but doesn't do it right for exercise purposes. Even if he is swimming laps, he takes way too many breaks to get his heart rate up! Even at the gym last night he kept stopping to mess with his phone. I'm barely eating and I was walking my butt off on the treadmill!!! We did talk about go and slow foods & we will review the WW information this weekend. He's my carb hound, pizza, chips, cookies, crackers, pretzels...I rarely buy that stuff but when I do it's gone IMMEDIATELY! I was a size 9 or 11 in juniors in high school and I was also called fat....I would LOOOOOOOVE to be that fat again!!!! ![]() Last edited by sunflowerintx; 05-16-2012 at 12:48 PM.. |

Another question
What kind of coconut oil is best to purchase?I read online to only buy virgin and only in a jar? Is this true? also I am very seriously thinking of tomorrow being my LDW I am simply so very hungry just all the time. And I am ready to quit if I don't get some food. I have lost 16.6 lbs in 23 days so that is pretty good isn't it? OR would it be best to go on to 30days? I also read if you had over 40lbs to loose to do 40 days. But I just don't think I can make it even to 30 days.need some advice please.

If you're hungry a lot, I've read that it could be an issue with your hCG dosage. I've seen people that have lowered their dosage in that situation and felt much better. Having to suffer hunger all the time would definitely make things much more difficult, so I suggest you at least see if that helps you before deciding to give up completely. You've done well so far, so if I were you, I'd ask myself "Will I be proud of what I've accomplished, or will I regret stopping early?" Remember that you won't be able to do P2 again for a while! I've also read about some people doing "interrupts" but I don't know much about them, so perhaps someone else that knows more can fill you in. A lot of people ONLY do short rounds because they like it better, so ultimately, the most success will come by doing what works best for you! Good luck ![]() |

Berta--Congratulations on a great round!! You have done so well. Yeah for P3 foods. Now, go and look at the P3 threads so you can decide on what to eat when you go into P3. Or I can see if some old posts are still around. Let me know if you want me to dig some up!
I love Tropical Traditions oil as well. I buy that brand all the time. They have specials all the time--free shipping, buy one get one free...that sort of thing. Great company! I buy the virgin coconut oil for my daily dose and expeller pressed for everything else. My kids don't like coconutty tasting things so I have to have the expeller pressed at all times!

But I know you have to work.I was hoping I would have about 40lbs off but I can notmake it and I can not go longer.I have to get some food in me.I am beginning to cheat just a little tiny bit every day becasue I am so hungry. So Tomorrow in my LDD.I will dose in themorning and weigh and the eat 500 for 2 days without the HHCG and SUnday I can go out and eat like a normal person!! I am so ready. ![]() I have done 23 days and lost 16.6 so I really can't complain and it will probably me more in the morning. So do I stay here on PH3 or move to the PH3 thread and check back in once in awhile?? I think I have PH3 foods. It is meat with fat and dark meat chicken with skin and cream cheese NPNT butter sourcream.butter etc. My plan is to eat meat and veggies and 2 fruit ONLY each day. I will have veggies like celery with NPNTB or cream cheese or an apple or berries for snacks. How about SF pudding and jello & crustless Cheese cake ![]() Last edited by Berta48; 05-16-2012 at 06:15 PM.. |

![]() On HHCG, you only have to wait 48 hours so if LDD is tomorrow morning, you could have P3 breakfast or lunch 48 hours later which would be Saturday, instead of Sunday. You can stay and cheer us on but please don't talk TOO much about all the yummy food that you are eating... It would torment us too much! ![]() What the heck is NPNTB? ![]() Yes, you can have SF pudding, jello, and crustless cheesecake made with sweetener! I would be cautious though in how quickly you add then in and add one thing at a time,in case you have a sensitivity to anything.Yay! P3!!!!! ![]() |

I am open to suggestions. I feel like I really need more protein. Diet: B - apple & hot tea L - P2 chili, maybe a gluten-free breadstick D - mahi-mahi on spinach or grilled chicken on greens (dd says "leaves") S - 4 strawberries blended with lemon juice & ice When I remember, I take 3-4 pellets in the middle of the night when I get up to pee, a few more mid-afternoon, and a few more after the kids go to bed. That's what P3 is for! Also, peanuts are not really a nut but a legume. Most people say to wait on peanut butter until P4. Try almond butter for P3. Tell your hubs to LOOK OUT! Berta is ready for her P3 brekkie on Saturday! |

I would recommend a couple of things to help you through P2. Get yourself a good B100 vitamin (preferably capsules). Also, get some sublingual B12 5000mg. If you can get the methycobalamin form it is better absorbed than the cyanocobalamin which is more common. A lot of people who are hypo-adrenal, especially on P2, have iron issues. For that I would recommend getting some iron (bi)glycinate which usually comes in 18 or 27mg caps. I would start with ~50mg in the morning and see how you do. If you tolerate that well, start taking 2 at night as well. As far as food goes, you can probably have more strawberries than 4. I usually eat around 7oz which end up being about 8-10 medium strawberries. I think you might also benefit from upping either your chicken portion or your fish portion to 125-150g (4-5oz). I wouldn't do it with the beef but the other two should be ok. HTH ![]() |

![]() No fat free anything on P3--time to use real food and full fat baby. Try full fat yogurt, butter, heavy whipping cream, avocado in your salad, eggs and bacon. It is all good and good for you. I could go on but those of us on P2 are drooling now, sorry I know because that is what I could really use right now. You do this in your P3 and your next P2 will go smoother than this last time. |

I am never energetic, wish I were but I never am. And on P2.....even more so. I have gone so long like this, that being tired is my normal. This time around it is hard for me to find motivation for anything. Don't even want to cook my P2 foods so I don't! Try to find things that require as little cooking as possible. So I am doing a bunch of cottage cheese. But Shelby has given you some great advice. I just got dizzy for the first time (like head spinning have to hold onto something or I will fall over kind of dizzy) this morning in the shower. Not sure why I didn't take any of my potassium yesterday and think that could be it. When I get my supplements in, I don't feel that way, so it should be it. Have to remember to take them today. I might try a half an apple with my coffee his morning too. Hope you feel better. |
