Rougue for P3---advice needed please

I have 5 lbs left to get to goal and am afraid about P3 since I will be going on vacation. I have an extremely hard time losing weight and this has been the best diet I have ever been on. I am afraid of P3 and gaining. Any advice?
Thanks
Paula

Most would recommend low carb/high fat. I started R1 P3 with JUDDD, but found that I couldn't eat enough...so I went to LC'ing and doing fine maintaining.

I went on vacation when I started my first round of P3. I did really well. Just stick to the rules of no sugar and no starch and you will be fine. I brought my own sour cream and mayonnaise to be sure I could get them sugar free along with a few hard boiled eggs and tuna salad I made up ahead of time. I am grateful that I was driving to NJ and could take along my cooler! Much easier than eating out every single meal! But vacations and P3 can be done. When in a hotel, I ate hard boiled eggs at breakfast (the only low carb thing on their buffet) and at fast food restaurants stuck with hamburgers with no buns and salads. They all have salads these days. I did really well and didn't end up needing a correction day at all on vacation. Good luck!

Paula - What are you planning for P3 that is "rogue"? P3 is pretty basic low carb eating, with some P2 and low GI fruits included. No sugars, no starches, as Dawn has indicated. Have you done any sort of low carb regularly before HCG? Just trying to figure out how to help... :)

Hi Dawn and Shelby,
I have heard of the term "rogue" in doing the hcg diet and I was just wondering what it was and if I could benefit from it. Thanks for your advice. :-)

Paula

Rogue means going off plan or not doing the diet according to the plan as it was originally intended. I highly suggest not doing so. It can mean you don't keep your weight off in P3 where you are to stabilize your weight, or weight not coming off if you are in P2. When people play around with protocol it tends to mess people up.

Btw, too cute of you to go rogue and not even know what it means ;)

What she said.. :hyst:

Fyi, rogue is generally used to refer to the P2 phase of the hcg diet and means that you are not eating the foods on the original plan or not eating 500 calories or both.

Phase 3 is pretty standard--no sugars, no starches. If you didn't follow that rule, i would also worry about stabilization. :)

As long as you stick to the rules of P3 (no sugar no starch); weigh yourself every day; do a steak day the very same day you are over your limit by 2 lbs....you will do fine!!! Just remember the rules!! P3 can be done on vacation-I did it, so can you :high5:
