First down day for me -- one meal of 350 calories, and that's it. I am done eating for the day. I was pretty hungry when I woke up, so I hope this tides me over ok -- if not, it's just one day until I can eat again. This is a pretty weird mindset to put my head into...lol.

dbunny, so sad to hear about your family's loss. This can be a tough time.

Well I have felt like eating for the past two days.....last night I wasn't sure if it was an emotional response to wanting to eat or that I was hungry, so I ate an addditonal 3 oz of chicken.....

Was still down this morning....but I'm still not sure if I was hungry or emotionally wanting to make my self feel better (reason - saw photo shoot picture of me......I could see so many flaws and I think it brought on the desire for food)....gonna have to watch this emotional baggage I carry around....it could make me fat!

Just a quick check in -- my first couple of days attempting JUDDD were a big flop! In fact, they were a DUDDD!!! I was just too depleted after the p2/cleanse to do it -- and the carbs threw me for a loops (I tried keeping them in the mix -- bad idea).

So, I did a couple of refeed days -- yesterday was high fat, high protein, low carb -- and now, in ketosis and with the reserves stocked, I am taking on a low carb JUDDD plan -- this feels much more possible to me.

Today is my first down day -- I'm keeping with the suggested guidelines on the JUDDD site for the induction period -- so, 500 calorie down days, 1840 up days -- and I can tweak from there.

The goal right now is just to get into the JUDDD groove, and hopefully not gain anything permanent -- and I am staying off the scale and trusting the plan.

eyecandi - it's pretty normal that hcg pulls TOM off regularly scheduled visits, length etc. I can't tell you what to do - you'll have to decide that. I dosed all the way through myself (when I used to get TOM at all.....now I'm done) and was fine. Eventually the losses even out.

If it's RX it loses potency pretty fast once mixed. I have heard some people freeze it in between rounds. As a practical matter, I just usually dump the rest of the dose I'm using when I'm done and start fresh each time. It's not worth the cost of the stupid pregnancy test to test it, as far as I'm concerned.

My TOM has been completely wack ever since I started hcg -- I don't know if the hcg is the culprit, or if it is just perimenopause -- but I am hoping that it will normalize now that I am finally off hcg (hopefully, for good.)

RX does lose potency fast, so if you want the best efficacy from the hcg, you might be best off using it now -- but I DO definitely understand what a drag those long rounds can be!!!

Is your hcg already mixed? If it is in powder form and not mixed yet, then you can hold off. If it is already mixed, which it sounds like it is since you are storing in the fridge, then you pretty much have to use it up quickly.

Out of town on conference. Went to store bought protocol food. Ate fruit for breakfast. Doing ok, no scales in gym. Then went to dinner with Clients. Tried to eat protocol. However may have screwed up We shall see how tomorrow goes. I think the breakfast and lunch will be ok. I think it is going to be a challenge for dinner. So far no sugar no starch. But I know it's just too much food and probably too much protein fats and veggies. Let's just not even mention the vodka and wine. I am so doomed.

Hi everybody. I am dealing with a 4 lb weight gain because I ate something I did not prepare myself, so much for trusting well meaning friends. Oh well, I will try and distract myself with everyone elses' success stories and keep on keeping on.

I may try those spinach and egg shakes for a meal replacement, if I can get my blender to shred the spinach fine enough. If not, it will be a cucumber and egg smoothie.

Hey Dawn....great to hear you are still in the game!
After doing 4 steak days in a row......I am back to my weight prior to leaving for conference, technically I would be done with this round as of tomorrow, but I might just finish off the vial.
Has anyone else stayed on it a bit longer?
So P3 is just a bit delayed, but so far I feel good about choices, watching hunger levels and trying to get mind frame ready for P3.
I plan on doing the six weeks of maintenance and in August going for another round....goal is 125-127, I'm at 159 right now
I guess more than that I'm hoping to put in practice alot of the mindfulness that is in the Weight Loss Apocalypse......its a journey

4 steak days in a row??!! Wow, that is dedication. Good on ya. Are you on P2, then? I thought steak days were for P3/P4? I think doing protocol by the book is best. Your body as well as your mind needs the rest in between as well as immunity issues. I have not taken the breaks as directed and have been playing groundhog day with my rounds. Not fun.

Dawn,
Yes, steak days are P3, but I couldn't fathom doing apple days....surprisingly steak worked and in fact I was down another 2 lbs as of this morning...so I'm taking all the weight loss. Back on protocol, just gonna finish the vial and stay on track...although scary I am going to be out of town for two more trips........one for 5 days and another for 3......
This is a real challenge, although I find that I am more mindful everyday....maybe some of the WLA is settling into my mindset.

You are right about the breaks being "groundhog day" .....I know what you mean....I really don't want to make that mistake.....

Today was your first VLCD - how's it working?

So far so good. I am doing ok hunger wise. And food wise. I have not even finished reading the WLA but am trying to be in the right mindset for this round. -

That is great to know that steak days work in P2. I have done mini-steak days wheer all you eat is 7 oz total steak and the tomato. Is that how much you have eaten? Those seem to work for me as well in P2, after going up on the scale. How much longer will you be on P2 then? I plan on going as long as I can to get this weight off for good!! I am hoping to be in P3 by July 27, but will go longer if necessary.

Good for you Dawn - I really think it is all about the mindset.

I did a 7-10 oz steak and tomato, but sometimes I exchanged onion cooked in chicken broth...I think that was the only way I could do the 4 days.

On one of the other logs, C'Marie said she didn't recommend going more than 40-45 days on the shots. I think I am just loving the control of P2 and terrified of going P3....

I do need the 6 week stabilizer and I will be out of town from July 3-8th, and would love to continue the shots as long as it lasts. I can do P3 easily without the travel because of controlled environment at home. So I'm a bit perplexed.
I have 30lbs left to lose, so I plan at least one more round in late August and maybe doing again in December if I am close to goal.
I would like to be stabilized and work on firming up by 2013.
Still a daily process, one day at a time.

I know of someone who posts on another hcg forum that can only lose if they eat "steak day style" while doing p2. She doesn't lose if she eats the 2 meals a day. She has to have all her protein and a veggie at night and THEN she will lose. She relies on the steak day rules every other day while on P2. Our bodies are a mystery aren't they?

I totally agree that with the shots of hcg you have to follow protocol and only do the 40 days on P2. I think you may run into immunity---BUT I have heard that you will know when you hit it and can stop then. So maybe you can extend your round just a teensy bit! Wish i could help you more on that. I do agree that if you are on a roll, then you should continue. Once you go to P3 you don't want P2 again!! Too much food spoils it.

Spoke with a friend today who is doing a round, just start vlcd yesterday and she said she has gone longer, but only by increasing her protein somewhat and it has never been a problem for her
So shall see. I lowered my dosage today, would like it to last while out of town, not sure.....

P2 would be so easy for me if I did steak every day. Well, maybe not on the budget. I finally lost all the weight from my unintended cheat. Live and learn I guess. Now, TOM is here and slowing me down again. The scale gods have decreed I must struggle to get to Onederland. So be it.

I agree. Steak would be very easy, but I would tire of that quicker than I tire of P2 and I tire of P2 quite quickly. I get so tired of all the veggies on P2. I skip them quite frequently.

Good luck tonight!! I dropped 2 lbs overnight!! I am glad to finally get my whoosh. Have to get rid of the load weight before I can work on some more. Judging by the amount of time I have been to the restroom today, I am looking forward to tomorrow's weigh in. I have released a lot of water LOL.
