sorry for the driveby!! Been up at 5am the past 2 days and we're not done yet. Dd (12), who's bday is today, is playing vball in a 4 day tournament that is sucking our lives away!! Half way there. Looking forward to Sunday when we'll be done. She had a bad day today even though it's her bday, but she was a rockstar yesterday!! 12 year old volleyball is just that way. Hope tomorrow is better!! Makes it a long day when she's struggling .

I'm up, still. I'm gonna' just enjoy the next week and "load" July 3 and 4. Then I'll start a round the 5th. I don't want to do it, but I do want to lose 10lbs and then be done with it. I hope all this metabolic "work" sticks w. me and my next transition goes well. We'll see.

Sorry for the late response. I haven't really had any carbs at all. I am having a hard time finding the right amounts of fat, protein and calories for me. I didn't have this hard of a time during my first round. How much and what kind of meat and cheese are you eating on those days? CD's don't seem to help me at all.
Thanks for offering help, but I believe that prayers can go a long way so just pray for me and my family.

Good morning my LC friends! I'm sorry I've been MIA! We've had VBS this week, and it's been long and crazy days. I've managed to stay in my window even with eating out 4 out of 5 days this week.

Sorry for lack of personals, although I've been reading the posts on my phone it's hard to reply using that teeny tiny key board.

I'm at 168.0 this morning so that rocks for me!

I did want to say one thing: OMG Natasha, getting married, that is YIPPEE SKIPPEE! I am so excited for you!

Happy Friday Ya'll

I ate super clean yesterday!!! It netted me -2.2 lbs. this morning...YEAH!!!

I'm hoping for -.8 tomorrow to reach 50 lbs. lost (plus 10 before hhcg)...whooo hoooo!!!

I would like to lose 27 more to reach my first major goal (199)...then I may take a long maintenance break before attempting the remaining 29 lbs. I really wanna CEMENT that set-point of 199 or below.

Stay positive...drink your water/tea...stick to your protocol food...YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!

Natasha OMG girl!!!!!!!!!!! COngrats!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll pop open a vintage bottle of wine the inkeeper from New Orleans gave me just in your honor LOL!!!

So I am at 144.4, lost a pound

Slowly getting back. Doing an egg cheese and steak day today. But first heading to publix to get essentials!!! Hubby was saying how he wished we were still in Nola I'll tell you it truly is a foodie's paradise and he was so excited to speak with other chefs.
I ate my last Macaron yesterday, it was a blueberry lemon cream one, divine! But I am glad it was my last one LOL...now i can concentrate on getting back!

At the Bed and breakfast we stayed at (The Jazz Quarter Inn) if anyone ever goes you must stay there, it's in the french quarter and the breakfast is amazing and the owners Lola and Vincent are wonderful. They made a killer cup of coffee (that actually reminded me of Puerto Rican coffee!!!) and a breakfast couscous that was to die for. I am going to make it sometime next week once I get back to my comfort weight (138)

And here is something interesting, in a cafe called Refuel, they make a killer breakfast and the creamiest grits ever, they actually have for the patrons Pure Via, Truvia, and Sweet Leaf! I was so excited because while I brought like 12 packets of Truvia I was drinking SO much coffee in New Orleans and ran out. I was like wow, now that's cool....my husband was amused that I was so excited lol...I ran to the owner and was like OMG thank you! LOL

I said I was headed to Publix didn't I? LOL....ugh...finish my coffee and run there, then heading to the beach!!!! I have got a great tan thanks to the heat in Nola...

Nice drop Amy!!! Skinny thang you!

I'm having a coffee crisis, I use my Bialetti in the weekends but during the week I use my Keurig and drink Diedrich dark French roast for my lattes and they are discountinuing it! Only place I can get is bed bath and beyon so I went yesterday and bought like 12 boxes lol!! Thankfully hubby doesn't mind my coffee obsession. I figured out how to make lattes using the Keurig and my little moolatte frother and I drank like 4 big bowls yesterday lol. I used for the last one the community coffee chicory mix

Haven't weighed myself yet today, but will do later...

Oh no! Coffee Crisis!

Bummer about your roast that you like - hopefully you can find something else! For normal daily beverages I'll either have cold brew (mostly in the summer) or use my french press with a super dark/bold roast. If I have time, I'll use my espresso machine (LOVE it) to make lattes or americanos, usually with a random espresso roast or preferably LavAzza super crema or Tierra.

Ok at 143.0 so I lost 1.5

If I keep averaging a pound a day I should be back in 5 days, yay!
Yesterday was a steak day so I ate a pound of ribeye with a tomato. My first real Simeon CD and i garnered the same loss as a thigh day or a steak, egg, cheese day. I was ok because I wasn't hungry but I don't think I could do that again in any other condition lol!
Eating steak and fried eggs for breakfast, dinner is chicken thighs with avocado and lunch might be tuna salad, not sure...maybe some Greek yogurt and blueberries, drizzle some sugar free syrup on top.
Anywho...slowly but surely gettin back! Can't wait cuz I have a recipe for whole wheat breakfast couscous that is calling my name!

I was down about 3 pounds and then wham up 2.5...so annoyed! No idea what it could be...I have done my UD/DD perfectly this week. My Aunt is in town so going off tonight for dinner and some wii bowling.

Amy and Sunny, way to work it girls! Amy I know you can see this side of the 140's and that is wowzers! So proud of you! Sunny, I never did a true Simeon's steak day EVER because I get too hungry. You are being so disciplined and I know coming back from vacation how difficult that can be! Sha-zammmm girl rock on!

I've been super disciplined the last few days because I'm going to my first ever Caribbean Cookout (I was invited by my student's family). Sooooooo excited.

I weighed in at 166.5 this morning, and plan on enjoying what I know will be a lot of fruit and spicy seasonings.

I am ALMOST to my first mini goal. So I am excited about that Then my next goal will be 240. Seems a long way off But then again this isn't a race.I did not put all this on overnight so it will not come off overnight.But this plan is the BOMB!!!

I have lost 22.6 since April 24th of this year.... so that is doing pretty good IMO!

Amy its basically 2 cups of juice (I use orange) and 1 cup couscous. I buy the organic whole wheat. Anyhow bring juice just to a boil, add cinnamon, some clove, nutmeg...take off heat, add cranberries, pecans, sliced almonds, raisins and couscous, stir and cover for 10 minutes. Then fluff with fork, add yogurt on top with drizzle of honey and yes you eat it cold. It's amazeballs!! I had it every day while on vacay at the B&B lol

Just checking in - no scale, although yesterday morning I weighed on a friend's scale and was within parameters even if it was a few pounds off
family member surgery went well, now back at their house helping out. I totally could've brought my scale but forgot it. Bummer, but I am being super duper careful and JUDDDing. I upped my DD calories yesterday because of hospital food LOL not knowing exactly what was in everything but still trying no starch no sugar as much as I could tell. Plain meat, salad, nonsugared yogurt and no extra sugar fruit

Taking care of a beautiful 3-yo niece this morning, watching Bug's Life.

You have done AWESOME...especially with your thyroid/edema, etc. Those things alone do not usually net much losses over long periods of time. 11.5 average per month is quite impressive...multiply that times 12 months. You are so right about this NOT being a race. I am so guilty of this...I see big, fast losses and want it all off now!!!!!!

Still praying for you and your precious family. I'm terrible counting calories. I just eat meat, cheese, eggs, and heavy whipping cream when I'm trying to drop back into my window. I eat veggies too. I eat low carb treats about once a week. I need to get better at food journaling.

Hi Girls!! Sorry I've been MIA for a few days. We've been caught up in volleyball festival!! dd(12) played great, but it's been overwhelming and exhausting!! But fun . I'm finally home, with a few minutes to sit down and catch up a bit. Watching a Tim Hawkins video. He's HILARIOUS!! You can find him on youtube. His song "The things you don't say to your wife" will make you !!

I'm WAY up on the scale. Too much bday celebrating (both dd's this week!) and I was up to 162 this morning Sigh. So, back to LC today. I was still a bit on the fence about another round but think I really need to do it. All my jeans are tight Need to get back down, and hcg is the best route for me. I'll need to really commit to a clean round and then clean LC afterwards. It'll take a good 6 weeks of sacrifice and commitment. I need to really psyche myself up for this. IE hasn't worked. I think I've accepted that LC is the best way for me to live and maintain. I'll be able to have the occasional higher carb treat, but it can't be a lifestyle for me. That's fine. It's to be expected and being slimmer is very worth it.

So, that's my update

Anyway, I'm back to LC and happy actually. It's been my lifestyle for years now. I guess I wanted to see if I could convince my body to be in a lower weight and also accept sugar. It doesn't like it. But, fortunately, it's ok w. fat. Which, truth be told, I prefer!! So, I'm settled.

Ack!! I had two glasses of wine...

Sigh' so much for my "clean" low carb for the next few days LOL

It was good...ah well, c'est la vie right?

So far today I have had, two huge cups of coffee with cream
steak, eggs, peppers and onions for breakfast
snack was a small sliver of cheese and marcona almonds
dinner was half a hass avocado and two chicken thighs

I just haven't been hungry. Must be since I haven't eaten carbs in two days?

Anyhow, curious to see my weight tomorrow...

I'm WAY up on the scale. Too much bday celebrating (both dd's this week!) and I was up to 162 this morning Sigh. So, back to LC today. I think I've accepted that LC is the best way for me to live and maintain. I'll be able to have the occasional higher carb treat, but it can't be a lifestyle for me. That's fine. It's to be expected and being slimmer is very worth it.

So, that's my update

Good morning. Julie my body doesn't like sugar at all either. I'm going to do another round at the end of July. Big hugs!

Sunny I hope the scale is kind. Sounds like an awesome menu.

Happy I only gained half a pound. 167 this morning. BBQ was good but no desserts......too many people and too hot...

Yea Jeanette!!!!!! Good job turning down desserts, I find that I can pass those up, it's the good ole BBQ that I can't and other foods like tater salad lol...

So I woke up today with a noticeably flatter tummy, it's amazing what eating carbs does to the tummy, bloat city! Anyhow stepped on the scale and it said 140.8!! Stepped on it twice to make sure LOL....I lost 2.2 pounds y'all!!!! WHATTTTTT!!!!! I have NEVER, I repeat, NEVER lost more than 1.5 pounds so I was doing a happy dance
