well, today is a HUGE writeoff. I've been having hunger this time, and I totally caved at a party I went to.
soooo tomorrow is a new day, right? ![]() I think after tomorrow, I'm going to do 750 calories per day. maybe a touch less. I lost best with it before, and it kept me from cheating like I did today. learning experience, right? le sigh. |

Star, ME TOO.... supposed to be a P3/Correction Day - ya, nope.
Ate all freakin' day - all P3-legal (I'm on P4 ++ at this point but way too high in weight) - doing my continuing educ at home because I wasn't feeling well enough to go into the office. Grazed like a cow!!!! all day!!!!! UGH! Does anyone here use any decent, not dangerous, appetite suppressants? I need to break this cycle! Ideas!? Please? I can't really go back to P2 because of therapy but boy I need to get a handle on my eating! I do good for a day and then not for several days in a row. I did about 8 days super LC and dropped 4 pounds and then had a weekend of chowder at the coast and right back up.

Very sleepy! Had to take a melatonin and even though I took half I feel drugged! Wahhh!!! I needed more sleep ![]() The good news is I should sleep well to tonight AND tomorrow is FRIDAY!!!!!! And I am off MONDAY!!!! Woohoooo!!!! My last day of work is June 8! I have to go to Wally world and buy some plastic bins to pack up all my stuff in my office ![]() Today shouldn't be stressful, thankfully! Keeping it a clean P3 again today because it's kept my tummy calm! Heading out for couples bowling tomorrow night and having a bunless cheddar bacon burger with salad and wine (yes I'm that woman lol) and I don't want to be up too much the nExt day...what should I bring to a BBQ? I want to be able to eat and they are my friends so it won't lOok weird...lol Ok so weigh in today was STS at 136.8 but no visit from Bernice which is odd for me...so I'm sure tomorrow I'll be lower. Have a good day ladies!!

Hyper Chick Here!
I could not sleep last night.
I have too many things to do to get ready for tomorrow! I was wide awake at 4:30 and could not go back to sleep. My hubby and I are writing letters to our daughter for when she wakes up in the morning, along with a bouquet of flowers! My mind is swirling with all the things I want to say from when we adopted her at age 3 all the way until this day! I tear up thinking about it! My baby girl, my only girl, is getting married tomorrow.Quote:

Berta, CDs are the REAL DIFFERENCE between this diet and anything else out there. Yay you for being prepared, and sticking to it! Big hugs! Quote:

About to have my cream-less coffee and then at 10:00 when I have my second cup it will be with HWC! I have to go buy some HWC anyway!

Morning! Well I weighed and I had gained 6.5 pounds on my vacay!
I know some of it was water weight due to the MILLIONS OF MARGARITAS we drank plus I've added carbs back in now and again on JUDDD. SOOOOO....After 1 Down Day I am down 2 pounds! Hoping to get back down to 183 asap and then maybe lose a few pounds in June! I keep saying to myself, I'm fine with maintaining this summer and I AM but I would also be fine w/ losing! I need to pick my battle! LOL Jeanette - You were wide awake! I am like that when somethings going on I cannot sleep. Like 2 days before my vacation I was up late, then when I went to bed my mind was running, just excited I guess! Have fun tomorrow!Sunny - Enjoy packing your desk! I'm jealous you'll be OFF for a couple of months. I am also happy for you going to the new job! ![]() Berta - Come on over to JUDDD where you can eat real fried chicken! Actually, I've not had any since being on JUDDD! I've stuck to the hot wings!Star & Marie - Marie - I used app supp before the ones that worked best I had gotten from a Dr - Dr Smith program here in Atl. Healthetrim also works for some can be ordered online.I still want to get the Raspberry Ketones that were on Dr Oz...

I've been out of the loop for a while. had a guest for 5 days, a bit too long for my liking. I have learned I need to set better boundaries with people. It's a good lesson. I did a correction day the day after she left and was afraid to go on the scale. I am still feeling very uneasy about how to maintain and I want to get about 5 lbs lower before my trip more the mid 160's but I don't want to start another round of hcg right before the trip. I'm watching Robin's videos on Youtube and I want to order her book Weight Loss Apocalypse. I am thinking of joining the gym across the street. There's a Y and the lady in charge sounds very encouraging and nice. This month no joiner fee and it's a month to month, no contract. I'd love your input lady's. Oh and I think you can see my photo now. Woo hoo! I keep toying with JUDD and never getting there. UCHHHHHHHH.

Adeline-nice pic!! Lovely!! I'd join!! I'm all about the exercise (now
). You're doing great. CD's are for correcting life. It's all part of maintenance.Jeanette-that's all so sweet!! I can't imagine one of my babies getting married (11 and 8!!) but I know when the time comes it will be bittersweet for sure. How cool you adopted her at 3. We're still talking about foster care and adoption. Lots of children who need homes, but we want to be sure it's what God has planned for us. Have a wonderful day today and post pics when you can!! Very excited for all of you and will be praying all goes well!!Sunny-yay for packing up!! New year, new job, new you!! Berta-I use parmesan (sp?) cheese for "breading" chicken. Kinda' a pain, but tastes good and is P3 friendly. Loads of recipes here on LCF. Natasha-that's not bad at all. Hopefully it'll all go this week!! Marie-the only thing that works for me is ketosis. 2-3 real LC days gets me back on track. Always such a battle!! I grow weary sometimes, but don't want to give up!! You can do it!! Rest will help too.Star- That's such a bummer!! Hope your 750 regime gets you back to losing. Love "le sigh" though hope your sacrifice is rewarded!!I'm up today but I am still really SORE from Tues.' workout. Not sure what I did, but man it worked. I can feel my legs are tighter and more lean. Crazy!! Hope the soreness goes soon. Planning to workout again tomorrow Scale is up today but it's either water retention or the SF ice cream I had. Cals and %'s were fine, but you know how that goes. I'm not having any more today and will take a rest day from exercise. I was dearly hoping to be closer to LDW before my weekend indulging, but it'll be what it'll be. I'll CD it back off next week. I won't tempt you w. my plans for this weekend, but suffice it to say, I have many "free" meal coupons, Mimi's, Famous Dave's, The Keg, that I will be using !! Not only do I love to eat, celebrate and have fun with family and friends, but I love getting a deal to boot!! Bonus!!

I did not gain this morning.WHEW
My LDW was 256.6 then the very next day I lost 2lbs. So that helped me alot.257.4 this morning. So I squeezed by![]() I was really concerned as that soup was really really good and like I said I thought about how they thickened it AFTERWARDS. ![]() It is not going to be as easy eating out as I thought on vacation. I never before thought about things like flour and breading.Maybe that's why I never have gotten anywhere ![]() SO I am thinking on vacation I will order grilled items... that way I should be ok. It will be breakfast I'm concerned with as not many places fry eggs in butter. But I am taking my scales with me. It's been over 8 years since we have taken any kind of vacation except to see family! We are going to see Sid Roth at Morning Side and the Chinese Acrobats and then shopping the rest of that day(WED.). The last day (Thurs)all day at Passion Play in Eureka Springs ![]() Quote:
We're having a BBQ here Friday evening and I am cooking Brats and Hotdogs and having deviled eggs. Another lady is bringing coleslaw, another dessert(I will have my strawberries and whipped cream)and another lady is bringing baked beans.(which I am hoping I can pass up) ![]() Hope some of these ideas helps. ![]() Last edited by Berta48; 05-24-2012 at 11:35 AM.. |

Julie doesn't the Parmesan burn before the chicken is done?I have been so hungry for fried chicken and last night at the restaurant we ate at... they had ALL YOU CAN EAT FRIED CHICKEN ![]() But I didn't get itHow about if I took the skin off? That's pretty hard to do for me though, now if it isn't crispy I can take it off easily!! I have also been thinking & trying to figure out why it is.....when I would eat like I am now on any other plan I would gain weight.I seem to be maintaing so far. Also Julie when I have my weight off Do I just continue eating like on PH4?Checking my weight each morning and making sure I don't go over 2 lbs?Yet I can loose on PH4 right? Quote:
I have looked at the JUDD but didn't find a food list anywhere. ![]() Quote:
![]() Yes I am happy for the CD days they sound awesome! BUT I am trying very hard NOT to have to do one yet.It sure is going to be hard to go back to VLCD again/BUT It will be good to see those lbs come off again too I am doing RX HCG next round. So I am hoping I won't be so hungry all the time and go for the full 40 days! I haven't done it yet, but did some "breaded" tenders to make into chicken parm that turned out great. I seasoned the parm first. Yummy! I'm sure the other flours would work too, but I don't like to use them as much. Have you tried LC or Atkins before? And you would gain on it? That's unusual. Generally speaking, most people lose or at least maintain w/o sugar/starch in their diet! Whatever it is, I'm just happy it's working for you. I think maintenance and long term P4 will require regular weighing and correcting. I'm sure over longer time periods if/when the weight is stable for years, the weighing can certainly be reduced. However, the long periods of time when we know we're overdoing it and gaining, yet don't get on the scale b/c we "don't want to know" will cause us to regain all we've lost. There are millions of people who have done just this. I've been pretty successful at keeping 100+lbs off for 9 years now (wow, just realized it's been 9 years!!) by staying vigilant. I'm sure you can do it. You're off to a great start!! ![]() |

OK going extreme LC again trying to get a handle on things. NO dairy except hnh in coffee one cup in the am and NO nuts. Problem is when I'm trying to work or take tests I notice I do NOT have the same brain power/quickness unless I have a little higher carbs, such as some GY/berries kind of thing - maybe I'm not built to be totally LC. I definitely noticed a difference when taking my last bio test having blueberries/GY about an hour prior than the week before when I was totally LC. Maybe it's a length of time thing, maybe I wasn't LC for long enough for that not to be an issue. I don't know.

thanks ladies! I'm struggling today too. later in the evening. oof. I ended up at a little under 750 today, meant to do 500, but I just can't manage it this time. I must be ovulating. IT'S ALWAYS THE HORMONES' FAULT! or so I need to tell myself anyway, HAHAHA, seriously! I even made chocolates for a friend of mine today, and only just tasted, barely, what I was making for sweetness (heavily modified recipe, and made vegan). so yeah, I'm struggling big time right now! even craving donuts. sheesh!
c'marie, we're in the same boat of strugglers! is that like a ship of fools? hahahaha! but really, I wonder why it's so friggin hard right now? I'm falling asleep on my yoga ball here! g'nite ladies! may the whoosh fairy visit us all, including the maintainers.

Well, I'm chucking in my P4. I am re-starting P2 this weekend. I can't take squishing into my jeans anymore! So that's it, heck with worrying about enough protein for PT on my hip, I will continue while doing P2 for a short round. I have vacation in mid-July and nothing will fit if I don't do this re-do round.
I also plan on tweaking the protocol a bit *GASP* (I know, I know, never have I, but I am) by using blueberries for fruit because strawberries and grapefruit both aggravate arthritis, and tuna occasionally in a pinch, and using the milk option to have a bit of non-fat GY when I need it for brain for school/tests etc. I also bought a weird kind of little cracker that doesn't have wheat in it, it's rye and made in Finland so it doesn't have GMO crap grain in it. They are 20 calories a cracker so it's a little less than a melba. I also will probably do 4 oz of protein, maybe more if I need it, using eggwhites also, and only one serving of fruit a day. After 6 rounds, I think I'm due for a "slightly rogue" version. It won't be my last one, anyway, and then 6 weeks later, after vacation, I'll probably try to do another one. We'll see. Not sure which day I'm going to load, probably Monday/Tuesday with the holiday, I have a huge project due Tuesday night and don't want to be hungry/scattered for that. My schedule looks clear for 3 weeks after that except for a bio lab and I will just do the protocol extra protein if I need. I'll do the hormone/thyroid testing my doctor wants after that. I simply can't stand staying this weight right now. Now the hard part is waiting to load and not just doing 2-3 extra days of eating whatever I want and gaining more before loading! Wish me luck! |

sunny, I'm making a birthday cake next week too! arrrgh. I'm going to make it all FANCY so I won't feel like eating it. but the batter...oh, that'll be a problem. hahaha!
c'marie, keep us posted on your rogue round! I'm VERY curious to hear how it goes for you! I think higher protein/less starch is the way to go. that said, I get more than I should (save for calorically) on these multi-seed, gluten free crackers. well, I'm down to 201.5 this morning! my post load weight was 206.5. arrrgh. I meant to do 500 calories yesterday to make up for the total break in any sort of ok protocol on wednesday, but was STARVING and ended up at 750. which brought on a 2 lb loss. so 750 it is from here on in. I should know by now that my body seems to like that best, but you know...math and stuff. hahaha!happy FRIDAY, right? ![]() |

Star-good for you!! 750 is your good place, your body needs a little more!! Go w. it!!
Marie- sorry you're struggling but I hope your re-do round goes well for you!! Jeanette-have a great day!! WTG on getting below LDW!! You'll look smashing as MOB!! ![]() Sunny-finish strong girl! Almost done!! I'm up on the scale today I'm still a bit sore, and just did another good workout today!! That's the good part!! I'm doing a fun weekend eating out a lot, exercising where I can, hanging out with friends. I'm calling it a celebratory metabolic reset. Been reading a lot about how important carbs are for metabolism. Sigh. Hard for this veteran LCer to wrap her head around!! ![]() My body temps are usually in the low 97's now that I'm taking thyroid meds (used to be in the high 95's-96's!!). My goal is to get them up to the 98's! (good measure of metabolic rate) Morning one (basal) was 97 today. Sigh. Starches/sugars are supposed to boost your metabolism. This is that RRARF Matt Stone promotes on his blog (180degreehealth if you're interested). But it takes time, which while eating a lot of starch/sugar will also add weight. SO, I'm going to be doing lots of CD's along the way. Exercise is supposed to cease while you're building your metabolism up. But I won't be doing that either . I'm going to enjoy my weekend, then correct as best I can next week, and then dabble in starches and sugars. Enjoy your weekend!! It's going to be lovely weather here (80's and 90's not 100+!!) and we're going play!! ![]() |

Star, I'm not sure how "rogue" I'm actually going to go, I'm just allowing myself a little wiggle room on a couple things. If I find it's not working then of course I can always go back super strict protocol like I always have. It's certainly not something I take lightly. I have done little bits of extra protein in the past, but not much, with my PT I'm doing my muscles need to repair after they get ripped apart LOL..... unfortunately in my case that's what it's actually doing. So I will use eggwhites extra right after working out but keep calories to 500 by taking out the 2nd fruit and probably only one little cracker.
I certainly don't want to be a bad example to anyone but I figured I might as well tell the truth of what I am doing. I have been a completely protocol girl all of my rounds but my 3rd where I added some coconut oil/cocoa bark like lots of those gals on youtube and found I felt fine doing it but that was the first round I had trouble stabilizing and not sure why that was - could've been something else entirely but makes me suspicious, ya know? The blueberries are supposed to be good for inflammation and the strawberries and grapefruit NOT but I will be careful and may not sub them in very much either. As to your question as to why it's so frakin' hard this time, I DUNNO! LOL I think it's the HORMONES also - I just went through menopause - are you anywhere close to that? I jumped up like 8 pounds after maintaining for 8 months, and then even after doing a round in January I popped right back up - arg. Maybe it's been enough time now for things to have settled out. I was supposed to go in for testing for all my hormone and thyroid levels but I am going to do this short round first. I hope everything's stable enough that I can maintain once done with it. I am going to be SUPER DUPER careful with this P3 because I don't want to be trying to do CDs on my vacay. I'm going to shoot for a CD-less P3. I guess I will be watching those videos everyone's talking about to get a handle on my hunger scale. Last edited by C'Marie; 05-25-2012 at 12:24 PM.. |

Hiya girly girls! I'm a bit emotional as I type. I can see many beautiful words and well wishes, and I will come back for personals later. I wanted to post pics of my baby girl and me, and my heels. LOL!
It was so sweet, the GROOM cried and could hardly compose himself, which made me love him more. It was tender-sweet and beautiful. I will have professional pictures to share later! This was from the cell phone. I kept the heels on for over 2 hours, and did have an emergency back up pair! Whewwwww! ![]() ![]() |

Thanks everyone. The shoes are a big deal for me! Would never have attempted it before the weight loss!
Here are some better pictures! The professional photographer already posted on FB for me! Wow, are we spoiled not having to wait for anything anymore? ![]() The heels only lasted about 3 hours! LOL! ![]() Last edited by MemoryKeeper; 05-25-2012 at 03:47 PM.. |

C'Marie thanks a bazillion! I am interested in your rogue round upcoming, as I have several more to go myself! I did eat a lot at lunch, but I tried to avoid sugar/starch but it was impossible at times (like with the crumbled tortilla crisps on my salad). I am glad I was under LIW today so it won't be so bad tomorrow. I need to guzzle some water though!
Big hugs sweet lady! |
