Thanks for starting the thread Lara! I hope you got some rest today, and took care of you! Been thinking about you today, Big HUGS!
Theresa- I'm so glad you are getting some blood work done, hopefully you can get to the bottom of this. At least once you know if something is up, you can begin to fix the problem. Hang in there! Hi! Sorry to those I missed from the other thread, hope your all doing well today. Didn't get to check in this morning, busy busy day! I'm still up trying to work my way back down to my happy place. Cleaned houses all day then moved DD20 home from the dorm (lots of exercise today). Hopefully the scale will be nicer tomorrow! Have a nice night ladies! Tonya |

Good evening!
I'm on day two of my induction correction-days, after too much junk during my anniversary this weekend. It is taking the excess weight off nicely, thanks Atkins! Hopefully at the end of next week I can be back in my range (I'm only a pound and a half above it right now, thanks to correcting) and take a pregnancy test. If it is negative I will keep eating P4 until I can do another round at the end of May. If it is positive, I will continue with intermittent fasting combined with the Perfect Health Diet (which is excellent and like a low-inflammation version of Atkins phase four), which is safe for pregnancy. In the meantime I'm just cruising along and doing well. I earned these correction days fair and square and can comfortably recommend the basic induction phase as another correction day(s) that works very well when more than just a single day is needed. It is working way better than the high fat correction days, for example. I was at 171.6 today, hopefully tomorrow will net me at least some loss. I had dinner fairly late and it involved lots of sodium (olives!), that might mess with the scale a bit.

Thanks for the new thread I was wondering where it was! Thanks Lara. I am waffling between JUDD and just staying on a straight ph3 I'll decide after weighing this morning. I'm doing my elimination duty first and then weighing. I want to lose another maybe 20 lbs or so, but I did want to learn how to stabilize. We're leaving on our journey to the Holy Land this summer June 15 and I wanted to be pretty stable and be able to eat somewhat "normally" in Israel. I plan to take my weight scale. I have had to do one CD so far and it was the one shirley spoke of the egg and burger one. I did it a bit wrong as I didn't have the right amount of burger, I had less than I was supposed to but I did lose 2 lbs even after a night of not enough sleep and me having inflammation in my body from a reaction to mold from gardening. I ate a good bit of low carb yesterday. I am wondering what the scale will say this morning. my LWD is 166.8 this morning I'm 167.6 so I'm still within my 2 lb window I think I'll just stick with low carb ph3 as it has been going well and not any new foods yet for another 11 days. I'm on day 10 of phase 3. I want to stabilize for another 11 day which would be 3 weeks. I was thinking of JUDD and doing the 500 calorie day today, but I'm not. If I have to do one more correction day during this phase. I will opt for that. I ate quite a bit yesterday. I even had avocado chocolate pudding last night after my dinner of zoodles with meat sauce and shredding parm cheese. I don't want to have emotional fatigue of dieting and right now I'm doing well. I'd love to lose the 20 more lbs before leaving for Israel, but I don't think I've got what it takes right now. I'm also battling inflammation in my body from mold issues.

Taryl- Glad you enjoyed your special weekend! Your plan to get back down sounds great! Good job!
Adeline- You will figure out what your body likes best! Having a plan means you will stay on top of any gains. Great job! Hope the fluctuations of P3 settle down for you soon! I'm down after my GY day! Woo Hoo! Yesterday was 124, today 120.4 (-3.6). Puts me LDW -1, so excited, I know I'll be back to my happy place of 119 soon. Have a great day ladies! Tonya |

Lara WTG!!! WOOHOO! That is the way to do it! I'm so glad that you stuck through it and now you are well on your way to where you want to go!!!
![]() Tonya! THAT is def. the way to do a CD! You are still my hero in the whole stabilization thing!!! Thanks everyone for the support!!! While i hope that there is nothing wrong w/ me...i would like the blood work to show SOMETHING! I hate that i have wasted the last three weeks and Lord knows done what kind of damage to my system. I wonder if this is why i never stabilized in p3? But there is SOMETHING going on. I have made up my mind that Saturday will be my transition into p3 and JUDDD. I just have way too much going on right now, i know there will be outings, parties and MAJOR STRESS over the next month. I don't need my weight to keep going up and my mood to keep going down! I will be better with some fat in my system! Ohhhh, can i do a FF for two days till Saturday ? oh how i love that!!! I think my mood will be better too!I hope ya'll have a fabulous Wednesday....not sure what thread i belong on! lol...p2/p3/juddd/totally lost my way/??? But i adore you guys too much to leave! ![]() OH, and i will surely go down in flames for this one....i had a brownie! They were in the office, my stomach was RUMBLING with all kinds of noise during testing....i shouldn't be hungry! so.....i caved! i thought...what they hey! If i'm going to gain 5lbs in 3 days....i may as well enjoy it! lol.....i know that was the wrong way to think.....but it really was sooooo good! ![]() Totally TOTALLY get it! I mean, you're talking to the girl who will buy a cheesecake AND a couple of candy bara AND a pound of cashews AND a gallon of ice cream and eat them all in less than 24 hours! A dozen donuts? Check. A dozen cupcakes? Check. And GS cookies? Can't have them around. Just can't! Where is the "off" switch in my brain? |

I am on D2 P3...I do not like it...lol. I am trying to do the JUDDD. Yesterday I just could not eat(up day)...don't know if it's just the transition from P2 for 49 days, or if it's in my head. Just didn't think anything sounded good, including the fried eggs & sausage, but that's what I dreampt of on P@...go figure. Today is better...a bowl of cr. of wheat this morning...half a turkey sandwich on diet bread...chicken & veggies for dinner.
I want to go back on protocol...how weird is that? I lost my goal of 30 lbs. and have lost .8 since then. Every free moment of thinking is that I'm PARANOID that I might gain...grrr! If I can achieve 30 lbs. lost each time...I would have 2 rounds left...just anxious to get to goal, I guess. Any suggestions while on P3...low-carb or JUDDD? Angela in TX |

Lara- Great Job, Nice Loss! Good for you for staying on track through this difficult time!
Theresa- Yep! I think it's time to move on for now. Good plan! You saw my struggles in my last P3, how I could not stabilize for my life! This time has been a breeze. I owe that to b/c & Shelby for pointing me in the right direction to get my thyroid & adrenals worked out. My bloodwork was so messed up, I don't think I could keep even 5 lbs off, and this time it's almost effortless. Hang in there, get yourself checked out, and come back with a bang! :Hugs: Shelby... I could have written that post! How's P2 going? Taryl- Way to work it Girl! Still going down! Great Job! Adeline- Whine away! We are all here for you! Sorry your struggling. I can't eat the sf candy either, makes me bloat like crazy, right under the ribs... that and cashews. I got into both Sun/Mon and pretty much paid my dues to the tune of 4 lbs., felt so out of control. Thank goodness I didn't have donuts, cake, cup cakes, candy, ice cream... any of the good stuff around, or I would have eaten it too. Prob a good thing I forgot about that case of GS cookies in my freezer! Had to buy them, she's my niece! Hope you are all having a great day! Tonya |

) I eased into it. Other than HWC in coffee, I did not introduce dairy or nuts or SF sweeteners in the first week. I waited until week 2 for dairy, week 3 for nuts, and P4 for SF sweeteners (xylitol, erythritol) and stuff made from them. What I did was figured my BMRx calories (for me, 2300+ calories) and FORCED myself to eat up to them, by about the 4th day of P3. I did this by adding fatty meat (chicken thighs, GOOD steak, pork chops, salmon, eggs, sausage, bacon), oils and butter, coconut milk, and avocados, daily. It wasn't super easy (especially without nuts or cheese) but I managed. A typical day for me looked like this...B - Protein shake with coconut milk and/or MCT oil (~300 cals) S - 1 hardboiled egg, 1 serving of bacon, sausage or turkey patty (~300 cals) L - Giant salad with real dressing, avocado, and chicken thigh, apple (~700 cals) S - 3oz blueberries and full-fat Greek yogurt (~300 cals) D - Steak, broccoli with butter, strawberries & HWC (~700 cals) = 2300 total The key things that kept me on track were baking a huge batch of chicken thighs every Sunday (in case I needed a cd I had them on hand--otherwise great on salads), cooking other things ahead on Sunday (including breakfast meats and hard boiled eggs), recording everything I ate in ******, and balancing GRAMS/OUNCES of protein and fat. I found that if I had the same number of grams of protein and fat, I would end up maintaining. If I had a lot of protein and fat, I eased up on carbs. If I didn't I found I could eat carbs more liberally. It usually ended up being about 55% fat, 25% protain, and 20% carbs. If it got out of whack too much I would gain. I would check where I was after lunch and just increase fat or protein at dinner to even me up. That's what I did that worked the best. That's what I plan to do after this round. And will someone PLEASE remind me of this at the end of this round when I am ready to KILL for a pat of butter or a chicken thigh??? ![]() Quote:
Thanks for reminding me of the fact that you couldn't sort yourself out before getting your meds adjusted. I think this may be part of my issue. I went hypo at some point during my last round and I am not completely sure that I am back to normal. I think I will start taking temps again and see if I can sort that out before my round ends. That will probably help me stabilize!

Woah, no good! I made some cloud/cheesecake drops today as a treat and those suckers are WAY too triggering for me. I ate almost half the batch and promptly threw the rest in the sink with dish soap. I'm still in ketosis, but those are quite the calorie bomb and I can't manage. I can control myself with dark chocolate, but not those, apparently.
Marked off the list of low carb treat, except maybe on special occasions ![]() Other than the cloud debacle today has gone well. I just finished a tough workout and have a lot to do tonight, but even with the overeating I am still at round maintenance calories, especially given the calories burned in my TTap. Still, we'll see what this means for my correction weight in the morning. I imagine I have at least another week of induction-correction days to get back to the middle of my range. I may cut it short this Saturday, since it is my birthday dinner and I can and WILL have some cake (I'm in P4, darnit! Yes, I'm correcting from the anniversary last weekend, but this block of days only comes around once a year.) My plan is to drop the weight this week and then be able to enjoy Saturday inside my window. |

I'M HERE!!!! OMG, my coffee with HWC was heavenly this morning. I'll be eating my GY w/strawberries in about an hour for breakfast. I'm so excited, I really need to calm myself so that I don't overdo it on my first day of P3. I was down .8 this morning from yesterday so I'm finally where I want to be
!!!Shelby - Thanks for your quick response last night. Theresa - I really do pray that you're able to find out what's going on with your body. You've really struggled this round.

Hey there, down 3 lbs this am on my 4th day P2 total so far 11.2 lbs. I'm considering staying off the scale until the end which is two more weeks (all I can handle) but I always say that and then I cant resist getting on. This time its different though just because I dont know if I can handle the ups and downs and stalling business this time with the added stress... thinking maybe that it could lead to a cheat but since I have two weeks left I think I can do it. The plan is leaving the scale at my moms or in my car or something.
I usually do pretty well in general. I'm just going to post in here if you guys dont mind. I know its p3 but just Feels comfy. Plus I enjoy you guys talking about what youre going to eat.

Tiffany, enjoy the full fat dairy but just be aware it can cause some problems for certain gals in P3, so if your weight get bouncy and won't stabilize I'd guess the Greek yogurt to be the culprit.
Great job Lara! Those losses are awesome! There's nothing wrong with staying off the scale for P2 but like you I get curious and keep hopping on . It's only indicated for maintenance, not losing.Tonya - yay for getting back in your range. That's the ticket! As for me, this morning finds me at 170.2, despite overeating on the clouds and calories in general. That's .8 down and 3.4 pounds down in three days of this ketogenic fasting for correction days. WOW! I officially have that lovely metal-mouth keto-breath thing going on this morning, so hopefully I'll get the appetite suppressing effects of keto as well. Only .2 until I'm back inside my range! |
