Shelby- Great loss today! Hope the weather is beautiful tomorrow for the walk/run. Have a great time!

Theresa- Hang in there girl! Wish I had the answers. I just kept getting tests until I figured out where the problem was. It can be a bit of a process, but it's worth taking the time & money, to get to the bottom of it.

Theresa - in a nutshell I needed to do more corrections days than just one and many don't work as well when done in a series. I knew Atkins Induction was very similar in composition to many correction days, except it was intended for longer stretches and more restrictive on some inflammatory foods than the Alternate Correction Days were. So I decided to try using induction, done by the book, as a method of getting back inside my window.

And it has worked like a charm!

My maintenance eating is very much like the later phases of Atkins, anyway, so it is all nicely compatible.

Good morning ladies, thanks for encouragment and speaking life over me! I am afriad to weight myself and had to leave extra early this morning, and I didn't. Yesterday I gorged on sugar free candy, turtles. I am exhausted from a trip to Atlantic City where I pretty much just lounged around, but bored as my hubby worked very very hard on some stair rails. We left there and got stuck in horrendous traffic. We began our day about 5:00 am and didn't arrive home til 11:00 pm Needless to say I didn't sleep well and I'm at work this morning. I'll weigh tomorrow. Today with tiredness I'm craving to make me feel better. HOpe I have a better day today. Will check in with you later!

hmmmm, makes me wonder I am going to eat some more protein and see what that does. I did have some slight edema R1 but nothing like this!
I hope the scale is super kind to you this morning!

Morning to all the lovely ladies out there!

Me, 2.4 pounds down for a total of 3.3 off from last week's pre-load weight. I can be happy with that! Still 5+ up from my lowest last round and ~4 up from LDW but this isn't a race--I just want those 5 little pounds off then into "hold" mode here! Talk later, gals!

Today I had to be at work early and I am so cranky and tired waaaaa waaaaa, I am eating way too much, I'm afraid of that scale I know I'll need a correction day tomorrow and I'm looking forward to being home and doing a burger and egg day. that was actually a pretty yummy CD, but it does get kind of tiring as the day passes. I'm donig larger burgers this time, I think it's 7 oz instead of 5 that I was doing.

Theresa, I hope you have an awesome week with lots of swoosh losses!

Okay, tell me I'm not going to low carb purgatory for having a complete blowout today. SO many calories, SO much sugar. I'm not counting anything today but I swear I'm having major dieter's guilt, even though I was perfectly on P2 for both Easter AND Christmas. One day won't kill me when I get right back on plan tomorrow, right?

*guilt!*

Isn't it funny how our minds mess with us? You will probably be just fine--maybe better than you think. And if not, you know what to do...

The scale was nicer than I thought it would be - I'm up to 173.8 pounds, so a 4.5 pound gain. I'd say a pound of that was earned through excess calories/sugar and the rest should dissipate as I shed the water weight. I'm also killer-sore from working out and that isn't helping the scale, but will clear up on its' own.

So I'm back on induction-correction cycles until the end of this week and we'll see where I am after that.

Happy mommy's day to all... even animals lol

Hi guys... done with my first week with a loss of 16 lbs. Two weeks to go and I hope I can squeeze out at least another 10 lbs. Now is the hard part. The losses slow but I'm not worried. Starting to look better, fitting onto pants I hadnt before. I've eaten the same thing for one week now, 200G roast beef 2 apples 2 servings of spinach. I feel good. Occasional strawberries here and there. My plan is to eat mostly protein for the first week on p3. Trying to stabilize as fast as possible. I cant wait to eat eggs of all things... and pork too mmm.

I've been MIA dur to all the services for the ex's funeral this weekend, but it's all done, and I really dont want to go to another one of those in a very long time. My advice to anyone that goes to a wake, better that you dont see them in that state. Went to church today, and the message seemed like it was just for me. Basically it was that if someone is an alcoholic, the most harm you can do to someones soul who is in that state is take care of them. They need to get themselves out to grow and evolve. Unfortunately some people just dont make it, but that is their stuggle. Sometimes you love someone so much you have to let them go. And even though it hurts to the core I have no regrets. And I feel free from worry now.

On a lighter note thank goodness the neighbor hasnt come back to my house and if she does I'm so not answering the door, lol.

Taryl- could have been much worse! I'm sure you'll have that off in no time. Hope you a great b-day & mother's day!

Lara- Awesome 1st week losses! Sorry you had to go through such a tough weekend. Glad you enjoyed your time at church, sounds like it was tailored to you. Hope that neighbor stays far away!

Hope you all had a great day! I did, but I totally blew my clean eating. It's P4D22, woke up at 121 and right now I'm weighing 130. Way overdid it today, had mexican food, chips & salsa, and cake (2 pieces). Feel like I could pop, I'm so bloated! I just kept telling myself it was ok to have what I wanted and I'd do a CD tomorrow. Now it looks like I'm gonna need more than 1. I know it's mostly water but it still sucks! Time to reign it in... that # scared me!

Hope you all have a nice night!

good morning everyone!!
Happy Belated Mother's day!!!! I'm sorry i was mia for a few days! Had a great weekend (too much patron again! ) But it was fun!!
Not sure how this juddd thing works.....but I picked Saturday for my first official up (and technically it was the start of p3 - to what ever effect that will have!) and I knew i would be partying with the friends that night. I weighed 260.something and yesterday was a bit of an up down day! I was slightly hung over....my bad! Weakness for patron and can't say no! lol So, my cals were nearly 1,000 for the day. I figured i would be slightly up given the weekend....I was 256.6 this morning????? WOWZA!!!! ummmm, not sure how or why, but I'm taking it! I can totally do this...

Lara That is a PHENOMENAL loss...even for a first week! WOOHOO!!!! I am very very sorry for the events of this past week...and the fact that you were able to stay on course, just proves that you are very strong woman! Hold your head up HIGH!!!!! You are amazing! AND BEAUTIFUL! I still think you are stunning!

Taryl, I hope your scales forgave you a bit for the exercise! And oh how i know about the excess sugar! But good for you for the exercise! I must get on that! I am craving the runner's high again! And the yoga!!

Tonya, I am glad you had a great time yesterday! Ya'll all should have enjoyed mother's day! Ya'll have EARNED it!!!!! DON'T worry about the scale! It will come back to your magical number in no time!

Shelby! You are back to running? And in p2??? WOW! I didn't have the energy or the gumption during that! Though, it might have helped mentally!!

Adeline I hope the scale loves you this morning also!!!

Ya'll have an awesome day!!! I gotta go do bus duty! And then start hanging an art show! my fingers will be bleeding by the end of the week!
Miss ya'll when i'm gone!

Aw Theresa, thank you... I feel good, tired but good. I cant believe that I got through this past week without giving up.

Seriously considering no scale until the end which will be two weeks from now. I have to ditch the scale in the desert somewhere lol.

Have a good day all. Be strong and beautiful!

Theresa- Glad you enjoyed your weekend! Wow, on the scale! Maybe your body is so confused now, that hcg won't work, but you'll lose when off of it (maybe wishful thinking LOL!) Anyways, hope it continues to treat you well!

Lara- Good luck staying off the scale, I can't do it. I'm on several times a day and can usually predict the next days weigh in at night. Hope your losses continue!

Well I was up +6 lbs today, 126.8 (5.4 over ldw), a good 7- 7 1/2 over my "happy place". It's all good though, right back on track today.

Hope you all have a great day!

Lara- No!!!! Don't start, it's impossible to go back! I weighed last night after eating out for Mom's day, I called my Mom and said " I woke up at 121 and tonight I'm at 130... there's no way I ate 9 lbs of food!" she said... "why are you weighing at night???" LOL, no good answer! I'm just addicted! Hope you are having a great day!

Good morning ladies! How are we doing today?

I did the Burger over easy CD yesterday (3-7 oz burgers each topped with a fried egg & butter), and lost -4.2, putting me at 122.6 (ldw 121.4 & happy place 119). Very happy with this and would highly recommend this CD, I was very satisfied all day!

Have a great day ladies!

Wow...that's amazing. I'll have to try this next time I need a CD, without the eggs of course because I hate eggs.

mmmm burgers and eggs yummy...

Ok I pulled two double zeros the last two days ... what gives? Youd think with the stress this past week it would have happened then and not now... not enough sleep and I couldnt eat my dinner last night.
Burger fried egg day please. With tabasco.

Can we please ask the planets to align for the next two weeks? I have been good. pretty please?

Good Morning Ladies,

I have been on P3 for about 10 days now, round 1, and I didn't know what to expect as far as stabilizing. I have been at the exact same weight with no fluctuations the entire time.

I have counted calories, and enjoyed Greek yogurt, HWC in my coffee every day but no nuts and very little cheese (some goat cheese and cottage cheese). As far as fruit, just strawberries.

I figured out my BMR according to the Harris Benedict equation as far as how many calories I should have a day. I really have been stubborn in the past as far as calories should not impact weight loss, but I think in my case it really does. When I track my calories is when I have been the most successful at losing/maintaining.

Good luck and much success to those on P3/P4.

Hi guys!! I'm home from vacation w. my normal 10lb gain. So much for that metabolism reset!! It was a great week of hiking, biking, climbing and fun!! Back to LC for me, down 3 of that new 10 already!!

I'm doing Atkins too, like Taryl. It works well for me, I like it, and I don't have to watch the portions or cals too. Dh is back to it w. me, he's down 7!!! Men!!

Sorry for the lack of personals, but I'll BBL to try!!

Hey Berta, I'm doing okay. Just playing this stupid yo-yo game trying to stabilize. It seems like one day I'm up, then the next day I'm down. I'm still within my 2lb. range, so I'm okay for now.

CD= Correction Day. These are used when your weight is 2lbs over your LDW/LIW.

The only way that I can eat an egg is if it's boiled, I don't know why.
How are things going for you on P2? Are you finally getting the hang of things?

OK ladies, I'm getting frustrated again (like I did beginning P3 of my last round). I've been yo-yoing with my weight for the last week. Today is P3D7 and I've had to do 2 CD's. Fortunately I'm only 1lb. over my LDW, but I can't seem to stabilize. Here's what my menu was yesterday, please tell me where I may be going wrong:

B: coffee w/HWC and GY (about 1 cup)
L: Large salad w/chicken and turkey and full fat blue cheese dressing
S: Pork Skins
D: Salad w/bacon and full fat blue cheese dressing
S: GY (about 1 cup)
Water: 150oz.

Am I eating too much or not enough? I was really successful last round with being able to eat GY, I hope that's not what causing my problem.

Hi all... still on P2 VLCD day 10 and I just broke my stall with a 1.6 lb loss thank goodness. That was crazy. 9 days left... I know its short but I will see where I'm at on the 25th May and decide what to do. Taking a one week vacay so I wanna eat lots of fatty meats! I'm already making my shopping list and dreaming of eggs cheese cilantro tomatoes and pork... mmmmm.
Have a good day all.

Tiff- it's so frustrating!! I only see 2 potential issues w. your menu. 1. salt-maybe water retention? and 2. light on protein. I love GY, but btw that and your bacon on your salad, you're coming in kinda' low on protein overall. Just a thought. What CD's have you been doing? The GY one is low in protein too. The steak and burger/egg one is higher in protein. Just an idea. Hope it settles in for you!

Tonya-you're getting there. You can do it!!

Lara-you go girl!! Way to break that stall. How much have you lost this round? I'm inspired!!

I'm working my way back down too. 155.2 today. Only 5lbs above my window now!! I'll get there. I did a 30min Zumba class last night (loved it!) and some weights afterwards. Love that exercise isn't a chore for me now, that I actually want to go to the gym!! Eventually that will reshape me and tone me up. For now, it just feels good! Sticking w/ LC, which is my lifestyle really. Burgers and NY steaks in the fridge. Decisions, decisions !

Bertha-you're almost done!! WTG!! I ordered pellets and am thinking of staring a round the end of May. We'll see. I'd rather not, b/c I'm into the exercise and don't want 3 weeks of low cals to derail me (again!!). Good luck to you!!

I knew what a correction day was. I just didn't get the CD to register in my brain I guess I have finally learned what to do and after Mothers Day I gained 2.2 lbs just showed up today(first time I cheated). But I went off protocol BIG TIME! But now all I can do is go on. I am ready for PH3 I am so sick of the same old things. Mercy .... I am definetley a variety person!

I think you are speaking to me Julie? But it's Berta (ROBERTA) not BerthaI have been doing really well until I went off Mothers Day but I was feeling blue for several different reasons and just blew it. But have been back on protocol since Monday.Today it showed up as a gain so I guess it was from Mothers Day.I can't think of any other reason
I was going to try for 40 days but I am not going to make it.THis is jsut getting to hard. I am wanting toeat all the time. But I think it ismainly mind hunger. I really only get hungry when it's about time toeat.I guess I will be seeing you in a few more days more often.I start PH3 the 26th.
