OMG!!! I did it...GOAL!!!!!

I finally reached my goal
I did a very long 70 day R1P2 using hhcg. I finally am calling it done on P2. This is my last day of drops today and onto 2 days vlcd no drops.
Here I come P3!!!

I decided to do a long round because of multiple reasons.

1. I like structure so pre-cooking food for the week ahead was easy and I could grab and go.

2. Routine is what works for me. As long as I was staying on the same schedule and eating at the same time I could follow the course without cheating. I had many of frustrating days where I would fantasize about pizza or a meal from a restaraunt but I kept my eyes on the target and the food from my mouth

3. The last half of my P2 I was so close to goal and I felt good on the hhcg without hunger issues that I chose to continue to get the last 10lbs. off before moving to P3. I think personally if I would have moved to P3 after 40 day round and then to P4 that I could not bring myself mentallly to go back and do another P2.

With that all said, I can only hope that by extending my round out this long that I didn't jeopordize my stabilizing in P3. I guess time will tell. I plan on continuing the P2 foods the first week of P3 and just doubling the amount for calories and my first item I am adding in will be cream in my coffee.

I have one question do I use the weight from this mornings weigh in (last day of taking drops) or tomorrow morning's weight as my LDW?

Wow 70 days?? You are brave!

As for the weigh recording -You will use tomorrow morning weight if today is your last day of drops.

Gongrats again

Congratulations! I don't think the extra long round will affect your ability to stabilize, and you seem to have a well-thought out plan. Today is your last drops day, so this morning's weight is what counts. Or at least that is what I understand from reading the book and listening to folks on forums.

Just fyi, from the horse's mouth (so to speak)--Pounds & Inches...

"As long as their weight stays within two pounds of the weight reached on the day of the last dose, patients should take no notice of any increase; but the moment the scale goes beyond two pounds, even if this is only a few ounces, they must on that same day entirely skip breakfast and lunch but take plenty to drink. In the evening they must eat a huge steak with only an apple or a raw tomato. Of course this rule applies only to the morning weight. Ex-obese patients should never check their weight during the day, as there may be wide fluctuations and these are merely alarming and confusing."

As weird and counterintuitive as it seems, according to P&I, LDW is the weight on your last day of dosing, NOT the day afterwards. Obviously, each person can use whatever weight they choose as LDW, but that's what Dr. S had to say about it.

I want to say a very big "Thank You" for all the congrats. I am just so excited to be moving to P3 in a couple of days. I just have to remember to take it slow..... so hopefully I won't have to do a correction day. SCARYYYYYY.

This is my first day of no drops and 500 cals and I lost another pound this morning. I am going with yesterdays weigh-in for my LDW, and use this extra pound for some cushion room.

I hope everyone has great losses today, and I want to say thank you again for all the inspiration and support this forum has given me in this journey.

Until next time..........

Hi everyone,

To dawnyama: I lost 35 pounds. The last few weeks were sloooow!! I just stuck it out because I only had like 5-7 pounds left to reach goal and couldn't see doing another round for those few pounds. Amazingly I never cheated once in 70 days. I ate the same three meals over and over. Aghhhh I am sick of chicken LOL!!!!

I measured myself the first day of P2 and have not measured myself since. I am planning to measure tomorrow night before I start P3. I am kinda of excited to see what the numbers turn out to be.

Unbelievably I packed every piece of clothing that I own that is now to big in bags to take to Goodwill!!!! It will give me the incentive to keep the weight off since the only clothes I have are the ones that fit me at this weight LOL. (I can't believe I was brave enough to do that....but heck it is a new me now...ha ha)

Now if I can figure this P3 out and stabilize. Whew...this is going to be interesting. I so hope I don't have to do a CD! LOL
Seriously, all I want for the last 70 days is a damn piece of pizza!!! ROFL!!

I think I have jabbered enough, so let me say "thank you" to everyone again for all the support and the congrats. Ia would gladly stick around for help or support. I am by no means an expert and I can only go by my experience. I will more than likely be bugging everyone about P3 LOL

REJOICING with YOU! Celebrating your achievement. Take it slow and easy for the first few days so you don't upset the apple cart. I'm so amazed that you were able to do 70 days on your round, WHOAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! For that tenacity and perserverance you deserved the prize.

Thank you everybody!!!!

I told myself if I started losing less than .5 lbs to .4 lbs average that I would quit and move to P3, but I held steady. Yeah me!! LOL

I start P3 in the morning but I am confused on what to eat. I had planned on adding half and half to my coffee in the morning and then doubling the portions of P2 food to get around 1000 calories. What do you think? I thought I would see if I gained from the cream in my morning coffee the next day before I try cheese. Is that little bit of cream enough or do I need to add more fats tomorrow? I would try eggs but I have never been able to tolerate eggs by themselves. I would be on the floor with severe cramps and sick all day.

I guess I am trying to figure out how to get a good balance of fats and proteins in. Maybe I should do cream in coffee and a cup of greek yogurt with stevia vanilla cream drops for breakfast and then double P2 foods for lunch and dinner. Is adding the cream and greek yogurt to much at first in case I gain to isolate which is the problem?

Please help me, any input would be so much appreciated.

The best advice I can give you---you might want to go slow with the fats. After my first round when I stopped after 21 days, did the no dose VLCDs, then started out with cream in my morning coffee--I could not stop going to the bathroom. My body was not used to the fat in my coffee--despite it being so little cream--that it rebelled big time LOL. Your body has shut down the fat metabolizing enzymes and whatnot and now all of a sudden it has to kick in high gear when introducing fats. It may not be smooth sailing, but your body will get back to it! I took probiotics to get over the rebelliousness of my tummy. I was fearful of not keeping enough calories in me that day, I was fearful of gaining weight the next day. You have to have enough calories so you don't gain and if you have not enough you risk gaining as well. Have to find that happy balance!!!

Good luck!!

Wow Turk, Congratulations to you. You have done an awesome job. My first round I started phase 3 by doubling my protein for meals and dropped the melba/grissini. I waited several days to add cream. Find your BMR and eat to that caloric count in Phase 3. Like Dawn said you really need to eat all of those calories to set your metabolism at a high number from now on.
Again, you have done a wonderful thing for yourself!!!
