I'm up 2.6 today. I cheated. I went off plan big time at our church picnic yesterday. I obviously overestimated my willpower. Last night was a total disaster.

I am back on plan today...discouraged, but trying to get back in the groove.

I'm sure the 2.6 will come back off in the next couple of days. Don't stress over it because sometimes the stress alone will stall you.

Good Morning to ALL my HCGER Friends

Today begins my P2 Week3. down 1.2. SO I lost 10.4 my 1st week 3.8 my 2nd week. For total of 14.2 lbs So I am averaging a pound a day.

It is just sureal to me that I have gotten this low so fast.I'm still very over weight but for me it's an all time long time ago low!!

Sorry to hear of the unsupportive husbands out there. It would be very aggravating I am blessed as mine is very supportive and he is on his own diet his way and losing also but he is proud of me and I am proud of him We truly are best friends

I appreciate all of you here so much too. You all have helped keep me on the straight and narrow when I have wanted to stray!

ALSO I have another question ...I'm doing the 42 day dose.
So do I stop the HHCG on day 40 weigh(LDW)...then eat 500 cal on day 41 & 42 then go to PH3 with no HHCG? I thinkis right but need to know for certain

today is my LDD and I'm not quite excited with how the last few days have gone for me. I haven't gone off protocol, I've had all of my water but I've been up and down for some strange reason. I really did expect to be at 175 for my LDW , I'll just worry about the last few pounds after I'm done with maintenance. I guess the bright side for me is that in 3 more days I'll be having HWC and GY .

I started back taking my ADHD meds this morning, so I'm sure that's gonna cause me to either stall or gain tomorrow morning.

OK I have another question. YES... I realize I am getting ahead of myself however I need to know before I get there.

In one place of PNDS & INCHS. I read on PH3 you can enjoy fried chicken skin and all. Then in another I read eat lean meat. Then I read you can have 2 VCLC bread a day. Then I read NO starches or sugar???Which is it?

I printed off all the facts I could find when starting and now that I am getting closer to PH3 I want to learn ahead of time what to do.

On P3, eat fatty meats, skin and all but NO BREADING. So traditional fried chicken with flour breading is out. Also, you will NOT be eating ANY breads, INCLUDING your grissini/melba. No starches, no sugars. No bread, pasta, flour, rice, tortillas, corn, legumes, beets, peas, etc.

Hi everyone! VLCD1 here--first time on injections. I really loaded myself up good this weekend and managed to gain SIX pounds--4.5 of which was yesterday! Anywho, hoping it doesn't take a week to take off the load weight and looking forward to tomorrow's weigh in. This round will be strict protocol and I have my individual beef patties all prepped and frozen, my chicken breast broiled and packaged for this week, my soaps and makeups switched out, and I am LOVING not having to worry about the 20 minute window for eating/drinking or a prohibition on mint! (That's only for the homeopathic or oral hcg.) I WILL continue with my current exercise plan which is intense yoga 2x per week, mellow yoga 1x, but I've been doing this regularly so, although I won't be expecting losses the day after, I should be ok with it. IF...and I say "if" with a raised eyebrow...I need to add in a couple of egg whites after my intense classes to keep from passing out, I will, but that's as rogue as she blows! Started out today 13 pounds up from LDW of last round (~155) so I am just hoping to get back down between 140 and 145 and sticking there.

Have a terrific day everyone!

I don't know where I printed out that you could have a low calorie bread but it says at the top POUNDS & INCHES??? I didn't think that was right. But needed to make certain

SO If I go out to eat and order fried chicken and remove the skin I can have it? OHHH I hope so. I love fried chicken.KFC(Kentucky Fried Chicken)
Also can you fry meat in coconut oil or canola oil or vegetable oil?? I don't want to gain weight so I don't mind char broiled or grilled meat at all it's delicious.

Honestly, Berta, I would probably save the KFC for P4 or some other time when you CAN eat the skin. That kind of thing usually has a TON of sodium in it so you'd probably gain from that is nothing else. And yes, you CAN fry meat in oil. Also, there are a bunch of hokey versions of P&I flying around out there. The author should be Dr. A.T.W. Simeons and the earlier the version the better (I have one from 1971 but the earliest version I've heard of is from the late '50's).

************************************************

One thing I wanted to add to my post earlier: I THINK the injections are giving me pretty good hunger suppression so far. Very interesting to me to compare this round to previous rounds.

Thanks Again Shelby
I have been doing pretty good so far and I don't want to mess up when I do get to PH3.

How can I fry meat if you can't use flour? And is any kind of Oil ok?
I normally use Canola or Veg. Oil.

Well, you fry bacon and sausage without flour... and a lot of places deep-fry chicken wings without flour... and I often fry hamburger or steak or fish or pork chops in a oil in a skillet. What did you need to bread? I normally use coconut oil (the unflavored kind) to fry stuff in just for it's high smoke point and other health benefits. Sometimes I use olive oil or lard or bacon grease. I try to stay away from Canola or regular veg oil just because they are PUFAs (poly-unsaturated fatty acids) and I'm not crazy about those. Nothing works as well as canola or veg for deep frying though...

Subbing in...
I've had 4 days of losses in a row...(guess I must have broken through a major setpoint!)
I'm now 0.8 lbs away from a 50 pound loss since 10/26/2011.
This round has been going well for me...when I'm hungry...it's actually my meal time...and getting in the water has been easy...(thank goodness for the Berry-flavored liquid stevia!!!)

Hope you're all having a wonderful week!

WEEEEELLLLLL I guess old habits die hard.I always fried my meat after rolling it in flour or almond meal. OR something?I will buy some Coconut Oil. Is it suppose to be the PURE Coconut Oil? I've never used it before.

Great! Just remember no sugar, no starch on P3! But lots of great foods!
It's easy to get lost in all the allowed foods, and easy to gain. I'm on a CD (Correction Day) today because I'm 2.5 pounds out of my window, so I have to reign it back in ASAP! My CD of choice is a chicken thigh day. I've had 5 chicken thighs today. I hope tomorrow's weigh in puts me back in my window, but since that's probably not going to happen, I will alternate a CD with a clean P3 day until I get back in my window. I've never been this far out of my window before. I gained 3.0 pounds in one day, and that was eating all P3 foods.

That's sorta scary. I don't want to gain weight. I wonder why we aren't suppose to lose weight on PH3? When I was doing my Diabetic diet I was eating 1200 -1500 calories a day and losing about 2lbs a week. So how many calories are you alowed.... if you don't mind saying?

How do you cook your chicken? I hate thighs ..... I like the leg wing and breast though

Hi guys, checking in. My baby was sick this weekend with the flu, so I didn't get a chance to weigh in on Sat or Sun ... But I also didn't have time to cheat either, so today I was rewarded with -1.5, making it -3.2 for VLCD 5. I am pretty happy about that, particularly since he is also better today too. I have come to the realization that I am fussing over very few lbs here in the big picture, but it is funny that no matter that it isn't a big number, it still seems to create big feelings (or happiness when you see a loss and real disappoint, ent when you do not). Something for me to ponder.

Memory keeper - your P3 gain has me worried. I didn't do great in P3 before. I find the rules easier in P2, probably because of the appetite suppression too - what did you eat that triggered this gain do you suppose? Or was it just quantity? I am trying to learn to avoid pitfalls when I get there next.

Berta- you are so blessed to be married to your best friend! My DH a good person, but not much of a talker. It gets lonely sometimes to be married to him.

Shelby, thanks also to you for the P3 tips and welcome to the P2 thread! I am not posting as much as I read - but I am very grateful for the support of the group.

Sunflower, falling off the wagon gives you more motivation to stick with it and lose it again!! We are rooting for you.

Tiffani, I don't think your meds will impact the scale. fingers crossed!

Welcome ncgirl and hello to everyone else, am wiped and going to bed!

Berta - each person's calorie requirement in P3 is different. Figure yours by googling "BMR calculator" (BMI is different) and use the first or second one that comes up. You are looking for you basal metabolic rate. Then you need to multiply it by your activity level. The Harris Benedict equation is...

Harris Benedict Formula

To determine your total daily calorie needs, multiply your BMR by the appropriate activity factor, as follows:

If you are sedentary (little or no exercise) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.2
If you are lightly active (light exercise/sports 1-3 days/week) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.375
If you are moderatetely active (moderate exercise/sports 3-5 days/week) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.55
If you are very active (hard exercise/sports 6-7 days a week) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.725
If you are extra active (very hard exercise/sports & physical job or 2x training) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.9

And you are not supposed to lose weight in P3 because you are trying to train your body to want/love/need as many calories as possible while staying at the same weight. It allows the hypothalamus and metabolism to re-set and creates a new weight setpoint at the maximum number of calories. If you try to LOSE weight in P3, you end up training your body to maintain the weight at lower calories. I'd rather train my body to EXPECT 2500 calories per day in P3, then in P4, if I decide to eat 1800 calories one day, my body LOSES weight. Calories in, calories out, just like a NORMAL person!
