Can you post your menu for yesterday? Maybe some of the experts can scrutinize and make some suggestions?

I'm sorry, it's definitely discouraging!

Discouraging...I understand that...especially when you've stayed on protocol vs cheated. For the last 7 days I dropped (a first for me...) and today I was up 0.4 lbs. (220.4). Sometimes it just happens. Make sure you're drinking your water and hang in there...OK?

I'll hang in there but it is so aggravating when you practically starve and then have a BIG gain like that?

Looks perfect!

The only thing I might suggest is cutting the melba? As diabetics, we are especially sensitive to carbs. Just an idea...hang in there!!!

DON'T GIVE UP!!!! Anything worth having is worth working for, friend!

I tell myself a couple things when I get discouraged:

I can't eat that - NOW, but I can have it later.
Nothing tastes as good as healthy & fit will feel.

I've released 13.6 pounds and got my first "you look like you're losing weight" comment from a coworker today! Yay!

Stay strong!

I won't give up as this is the first plan I have ever lost so much so quick on.I usually give up after 3-4 month on other plans. But I am nearly to Ph3 so I will hang in there.

I can tell in my face I've lost and my older clothes are fitting now.So I will just take it one day at a time. Like I told you to do

CONGRATULTIONS on your loss!! KUTGW

Hi Berta, I see a couple of things. If you're following protocol strictly you get a total of 2 protein, 2 veggies, 2 fruits and 2 starches (melba or grissini) I see 3 melba's in the list...that could slow you down..

Also I believe your water is low. It's my understanding that we should be drinling 1/2 our weight in ounces...so, since I'm 220.4, I should drink 110 oz. of water daily. If the Iced tea and coffee you drink are caffeinated, you would need to drink the same amount (in addition) in water.
If you drink DECAF Coffee and DECAF Iced Tea, they can be added to your water totals.

Currently, I'm shooting for 120-140 oz of water/day. YUP. I run to the bathroom a lot! but previously, I was not getting in 100 oz, and my weight stalled.

Hope this helps.

Roberta hang in there, there is sometimes no rhyme or reason as to why this happens. But it happens to many, please do not let this discourage you. Continue with eating right on the protocol and let the body do what it will. On the other hand you could pick apart all the things that you are consuming to determine what you may need to elimate or eat less of. Just here to cheer you on.

Diabetic also so I would agree with this, however I still use my melba on occasion.

I have never done the melba...

To be honest, I usually don't even eat everything I'm allowed on HCG. I'm just *not* hungry!

Berta--I would venture to say it is more the orange than a melba in your plan. They are high in sugar. And also raise blood sugar too high. I hate it when my DD eats an orange. I actually cringe when my DH peels one for her. She is type 1, though. You may be different. As many times as I have done P2, I don't do oranges.

But then again, Maggie is soooo right!! It could be anything you are doing or not doing. 20 people can analyze your menu and come up with 20 different answers. Just keep chugging away. Have you come across any posts from Lilac Bruze? She is the diabetic (type 2) that has used the hcg plan to get off her diabetic meds. I hope you have. I am sure she has posted her menu for P2 a few times on this board for other diabetics to see.

The melba at lunch was a mistake. I had it with my evening snack of strawberries. I do drink Decaf. Thanks for your input!

I haven't looked up Lilac Bruze. I have been thinking about it ALL day. The only thing different was the orange and ALSO my calves were aching so bad yesterday I could barely walk.So last night at bedtime.I put muscle rub all over them and rubbed it in. But they are fine today. Would that cause a gain?

Well no more muscle rub and no more oranges as that is the ONLY thing I did different yesterday.I also made another mistake at supper I had grilled chicken not shrimp.

Berta - if you used a muscle rub that had camphor or tea tree oil or menthol (which I would bet it did) that could indeed cause it if you are doing the homeopathic. Those are all contra-indited with homeopathics. Take some aspirin for the muscle aches and get some potassium. That should help too. And SORRY! I know gains totally SUCK!

It's ok if it is because I did something wrong.Like the muscle rub but when you are on protocol and gain it is depressing.BUT now I know no more muscle rub.Butat least it will come back off nowTHANKS!!

Berta, I read that you can experience muscle cramping on this diet because of a lack of potassium. So taking a potassium supplement might be your answer.

My weight STS today again. I have been stuck at 6 pound loss for three days now but my measurements keep going down. As long as I'm getting smaller, I'll be happy with that.

Morning to all the lovely ladies out there!

The scale treated me very well today. 2.4 pounds down for a total of 3.3 off from last week's pre-load weight. I can be happy with that! Still 5+ up from my lowest last round and ~4 up from LDW but this isn't a race--I just want those 5 little pounds off then into "hold" mode here! Talk later, gals!

Okay, I have a question for you young lady friend of mine
I know you do PH2 as long as up to 40 days + 2days w/o the HCG.

So If I can stop PH 2 at 30 days what is the difference or benifits than if I go for the full 40 days?

Thanks Berta! That's encouraging!

If you update your ticker, you have to upload it again into your lowcarbfriends signature by copying and pasting the url into the upload window on the edit signature page and click upload and click save signature.

You have to do this everyday.

I just did the whle thing over it's easier than trying to figure everything else out.(Guess I have no patience)

I think I see what it is. You have to just copy the url. It will start with http and end with png. It is the second one in the bbCode window. I think you used the top line.

The line you want starts with [img]. But when you are copying it, don't include [img], just start at http and end with png. Like this: http://tickers.TickerFactory.com/ezt...1ts/weight.png

Hi ladies! Down just .2lbs this morning. TOM has arrived about a week early so I wonder if this is why there was just an itty bitty loss on the scale. A loss is a loss though so I'll still take it! Hope you all have a great day!

So true Berta! We'll just stick in there for the long haul and it will eventually come off.

Looks like you got your ticker to work! Yay! It's so tricky, isn't it?

So happy to hear of your losses ladies (and any lurking gents), losing, getting new clothes sizes, fitting into old clothes, all INSPIRING! I have been able to maintain my window and I'm on R3P3D9. Last Friday, I cheated and over the weekend I gained 7 pounds! YIKES-A-RAMA! It took me a week, but I lost 4 pounds, placing me a half a pound above my LIW.

I also suffered from horrible leg cramps, and I got the potassium supplements and took 4 every morning. I also took 2 T of ACV most days. That really helped.

Berta, I have so much weight to lose that I chose to do shorter rounds. I do the 23 day rounds. It helps me personally because I do pretty good at losing, but terrible at maintenance. I like this protocol because I am forced to maintain after each weight loss session. That is a great lesson!

Have a blessed day all. Weighing in at 168.0 this morning, with 167.5 as my LIW, and lowest of 165. Sure, I would like to be at 165, but I don't have to starve to do it. It is better to just work the program.

Yes actually it's quite annoying!!
Having to redo it every day!!! BUT there isn't room enough to track it otherwise.
Yes this plan works better than any other I have ever been on and I have been on one or the other my entire life.(NO JOKE)

I am going to PH3 the 24th of this month. So I am excited 2 more weeks!!!

Then 41 days and back to PH2 That may be hard to do agian after eating so many more things

Thanks for the input that helps me alot. I wanted to go the full 40 days but I am beginning to want to cheat and I can make it until the 24th knowing that the 26th I can begin to at least have a CHEF Saladd!!

And lean ham and eggs for Breakfast. BRK was always my favorite now I don't have anything but Coffee.I would have a fruit but then I like them at night time. For snacks!
WHAT I DON"T UNDERSTAND though is .We are to maintain our LDW for 21 days.BUT yet we are to eat fatty meat & butter? I don't get it? How in the world does that work?

I won't have a problem doing that but I don't understand it
