Sorry, I am way behind on posts, but we call that the dreaded "2-day effect". What you do one day foodwise sometimes doesn't show up on the scale til the 2nd day. Unfortunately, you have discovered that there is another effect of off plan eating---it sets you back not for just a day but several Good for you for getting right back to it though. Shows that you have determination You can do it!!

Just wanted to chime in here and tell you that you can do it! I believe in prayer and will pray for you tonight as well. We are probably not the same age but we certainly are the same height and share the disease of Diabetes. You are so worth getting to a healthier weight so just dust pick yourself up and dust yourself off and get going.

Inspiring thread tonight. My CD (I'm in P3) netted me a 1.5 loss, another pound and I will be in my window. Clean P3 today, and then another CD tomorrow if I'm not in my window.

Love this thread and the veterans who always lend a helping hand (thanks ladies)... have a great evening!

Now I'm back for round 2. Loaded on the weekend and gained to 222.2 -- but as of today (VLCD2), I'm down to 219.4. Yay! Lost that load weight quickly!

My hubby does this with me, so that helps a ton!

I'll read this whole thread later tonight after the kids go to bed, but thought I'd "introduce" myself really quick while I can.

Even though I have found the ticket for me for weight loss in hcg, I love reading nutrition/weight loss books. I found a book called "The 3-Hour Diet" by Jorge Cruise. Right on the cover he states in yellow highlighter "Lose 2 Lbs. every week". Now remember this when you all complain about losing 0.4 in one night

His gist of the book is it is not the food so much that you eat as much as the "timing" of the food. He says you don't have to low carb to lose weight. Ok, he has totally said the wrong thing for me to try this however, the thought that I can eat what I want....that sounds fantastic!! He says to eat something every 3 hours. That can still apply to the hcg diet protocol. You can have a fruit and melba in the AM; your protein and veggie at lunch; another fruit/melba in the PM; dinner would be your other protein and veggie. Time it right and you can eat every 3 hours too!!! Keeps your blood sugar steady. Anyhow, just thought I would pass this along. Something to think about for P3/P4 too.

Hello Everyone!

I am down another pound this morning. That makes 6 pounds in 6 VLCD! I am at my all time low from last summer when I was running 3 - 5 times a week. And it took me all summer to get there. And here I am in 6 days. Wow!

Hope everyone else is doing well this morning.

I'm wondering if you should take them in between meals instead of 20 minutes before you eat. When I take them, they act as an appetite suppressant and I don't need to eat for a couple of hours. If I were you, I would try first thing in the morning, 1:00 or 2:00 in the afternoon, and 7:00 or 8:00 at night.

If you are eating 20 minutes after you take them, you aren't taking advantage of the appetite suppressing effects. That might be why you are getting so hungry.

Down 0.2 today, I'll take it.
Yesterday was tough, I was stuck in a meeting almost all day. We picked up lunch at subway. I am happy to report that subway has a grilled chicken on spinach salad now. I haven't been to subway in a long time, so I was happy to have another option. I knew they would make a sandwich as a salad, but this was better. I didn't get enough water in yesterday either, so I know that doesn't help. I am down 18.6 pounds in 28 days, so I am very happy with that.
Have a great day everyone.

Thank you dawnyama and MagieDen!

As fate would have it, I had to run to B&N to pick up a book for my daughter last night. I'd requested the Super Simple HCG book about 10 days ago and when I purchased Abigail's book, I asked if they still had it. They did...someone trying to tell me something??? I bought it & started reading last night. It's more of a rogue plan, 700 calories per day that can be done for a longer period of time.

I can do this...I can...I just lost sight of the big picture. Big girl panties are ON today!

I released 1.4lbs of my gain & my attitude is much improved.

You guys ROCK!!!

As for me, I'm down .8 this morning. Still 1.2 lbs away from where I wanted to be when entering into P3 but I'll take it. Today is my last VLCD, so maybe tomorrow morning I'll wake up and the 1.2 will be gone .

Congratulations to all you LOSERS today!!!

Of course Tiffany!! I will rejoin the P2/P3 thread as soon as done with P2 --actually, I am still posting there. I came to feel like I am a part of that thread because it was the very 1st thread I joined! You are right where I am aiming to get! Aren't you size 12 by now? I will be a happy camper when I get to 170ish. I am hoping that I will make it to 178ish within the 1.5 weeks I have left but considering the rate I am losing at, I doubt it Keep up the great work and best of luck in reiching your goal within this round.

Hi everyone! 2nd vlcd went fine, even through my hard yoga class yesterday. I DID have to step out for a sec to take my meds but that's what happens when I try to remember to change clothes, take my makeup off, fix my "yoga hair," retrieve food, iced water AND coffee from the pantry, and drive to class! Every time I thought about taking my meds, it flitted through my mind then was gone before I actually did it! But stepping out and disturbing class is better than 115 degree heat for 90 minutes on no thyroid and adrenal meds!

Anyway, I was down 3.2 this morning for the last of the load weight plus a smidge. Now the real work begins--I'm 8 pounds from where I want to be and about 10 from where I ended last round. I've got 19 days to do it so hopefully I can get there and make it STICK!

***************************************

Berta - 0.8 may seem slow compared to last week but it's actually quite fast and well above the average which is actually 0.5 per day for women (despite what they say). Take heart. You are doing GREAT!

Congrats to all the losers, especially for our 50 pound milestone gal! And congrats to everyone for sticking to it. This diet is HARD--every day is a victory!

Everyone going into P3... JEALOUS! Good luck guys! You'll do great!

It's tricky, isn't it? It took me a while to figure it out. You have to only copy the url without the (PIC) (/PIC) of the second line from the bb board window on ticker factory. Copy and paste that into where you can upload it underneath the signature window in lowcarb friends "edit signature" page. Delete the "http://www" that is already there before you paste it. Then click "upload."

And you also need to remember to put [SIGPIC] [/SIGPIC] in your signature first. Sorry I forgot that detail.

Morning all! Just a quick check in before I head out the door. When I get home today, I will read through the threads. Yesterday was awesome day I hit 179.6 so a new decade and my first book came out!!! I'm not allowed to post a link but it's terribly exciting!! Then to burst my bubble TOM arrived as well yesterday and I was shocked to see I was up a whole pound this a.m. But, I'm not killing over because I know it's just water weight. Anyways, hope you all have a wonderful day and I'll catch up this afternoon.

You don't put the ticker factory URL in the signature box. You put the URL below it in the window that says "Signature Picture." It says the following:

"Upload Signature Picture
You may upload a new custom image using the controls below.

Option 1 - Enter the URL to the Image on Another Website"

Right below that, delete the "http://www." that is shown in the box and copy the url from your ticker. It will begin with http and end in png. Mine looks like this: http://tickers.TickerFactory.com/ezt...1ts/weight.png.

Then click upload.

Wherever you had inserted [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] on your "edit signature" window is where your ticker will show on your signature.

So my "edit signature" window looks like this right now:

Vanessa

R1 5/1/12 LD1 160.5, LD2 161.5, VLCD1 159, VLCD2 157.5, VLCD3 156, VLCD4 156.5, VLCD5 155.5, VLCD6 154.5

[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

And if you get the ticker uploaded in the "Signature Picture" section, the ticker will show up in the preview pain at the top of the page.

Hope that helps a little more.

And then click "save signature" at the bottom.

Love that attitude!

I lost four days with my Sunday cheat but I released 2.4 pounds this morning!

Had a good day yesterday...left work early to take Abigail to the orthodontist and then we did a little shopping. I found the CUTEST romper...bought it in a large but my son said it's too big so I may exchange it for a medium...what the HECK?!?!?! Went for a walk, watched church live at home, spent 30 minutes in the sauna and got some good rest.

Today's plan:

b - coffee with Spenda and ff hnh
l - p2 beef chili, apple
d - curry fish & onions, strawberry smoothie

Evening walk & maybe sauna time...I am obsessed with the sauna, lol! I feel like it's doing great things for my skin & it's heart healthy! I don't mind aging but I'd like to do so gracefully.

BE BLESSED!!!

My weight STS this morning. I kind of expected it though for some reason. But I was down in two of my measurments, so that was encouraging!

So for my first official week of VLCD I am down a total of 6 pounds! Really, this would have been impossible without HCG! I never would have lost this much with any other diet because I would have gotten discouraged over the slow weight loss and gone off the diet in about a week's time.

STS is better than gaining!

I completely agree with you. I would go to the gym for a month straight and lose NOTHING...very discouraging!

Measuring helps for sure...I did mine a couple nights ago & I've shrunk 10.25 inches since 4-19-12.

KUTGW!
