Great youtube videos about the hcg diet and overcoming emotional eating
I have stumbled upon some wonderful videos that I started watching and I thought I would share. They are by Robin Woodall Phipps, author of "Weight-Loss Apocalypse" (hcg diet book).
Many of them are counseling sessions with patients at an hcg weight loss clinic. I have watched a few of them and they are very interesting! There are many videos by her. Here is a link to one of them: |
Tammy,

The problem with food...at least for me...is it's "legal"...and we NEED to eat to live. My issue is I've been used to using food to "Live it up"...it has been a source of dealing with pain, a partner in joy, and many other excuses I have used for eating too much or too poorly for my body. It's not an addiction like alcohol or tobacco, where you do not need to indulge in order to physically survive. We're all sensitive to overeating and over-gaining of weight...:cry:Sucks... At least this WOE allows us to tke a break from thise foods whicgh have the most impact on our weight...carbs/sugars. And then with careful eating, we can see which ones impact us the most. :high5: Hang in there. |
Has anyone else watched any of Robin's videos? I highly recommend them. The lady is absolutely brilliant with emotional food issues. I am addicted to watching them!

Thanks for sharing. I've watched a couple of them so far & do find that she is insightful. I am totally an emotional eater - I just don't know how to stop my bad behavior. So far, I haven't seen her give any advice on how to overcome the problem of emotional eating. Have you?
I know I'm an addict. I will sneak food and I have always had a private stash that I don't tell anyone about. What I don't know is how to stop. |

I can tell you that this is a LOADED question and unfortunately not one that is easily answered in a sentence or even a paragraph or 2. I do highly recommend her book if you're interested. It's called Weight-Loss Apocalypse. If she doesn't answer, I will be happy to share my thoughts with you. Would you like me to try asking her? If so, I won't use your screen name. I'll just post it anonymously. :) |
