P2 into P3...when to record last day of weight....

I am going to be starting phase 3 on Tuesday. My last day of drops is tomorrow & Monday. I plan on doing JUDDD...with Tuesday being an Up Day. What I need help with is which day do I record as my last weight? Today I am at 246.6...total loss for this round so far is 28.6...not quite what I was hoping for...today is D47...I see others who still lose 5-10 more in that time frame.

Anyway,
*do I record today's weight, or
*tomorrow's weight since this is my last drops day, or
*Monday, the last 500 calorie day, or
*Tuesday morning on the start of P3?

Thanks~

Actually...I posted incorrectly...today is my last dose day...so tomorrow & Monday is NO doses while on 500 calorie days. I put this out on the p2/p3 thread and the advice was to use today's weight...so I got my answer :shake: Thank ya'll so much!

you'd record the morning AFTER your last day of drops. You are supposed to use the weight you end drops on, which would be tomorrow's weigh in. you'd in theory have 2 more days of VLCD, but those don't count.

Not sure why you'd use this morning's weight? tomorrow morning tells you what your body did today. :dunno:

Oh, okay...I was kinda thinking that, too...plus I lost another.8 this morning, putting me only .6 away from my goal of 30 lbs. this round...yay!

Thank you so much.

CrazyPreK- No, your ldw is what you weighed the morning of the last day of drops. If Sunday is your last day of drops, regardless of what time you stopped, the Sunday morning's weight is LDW. You prob will still lose on Mon & Tues at 500 cal's, but take that as wiggle room... not LDW. You will be glad to have the wiggle room b/c you will prob gain the 1st couple days in P3. You could still stabilize at the lower #, but if you take the lower # as LDW, you may be setting yourself up for many CD's. Hope that helps! Good luck with P3!

This has always been my understanding. I've done two rounds, and so has my dh.

I have never had anyone do it that way. It's also not my interpretation of the protocol.

You finish the drops, and weigh in the next morning. This is your LDW-it's your first reading once you've done the round of shots/drops.

Then you have another VLCD. The next morning you weigh, but even if the scale goes lower it doesn't count. Then another VLCD, ditto. You still have wiggle room because you have TWO MORE DAYS on VLCD before going into p3.

Think about it. You don't weigh before loading, you weigh the next day. You do your first day of VLCD and don't see losses until the following morning on the scale. So similarly, you do your last day of drops and weigh in the next morning.

I guess you can do it either way, but weighing in the last time before you've finished the drops doesn't make sense to me.

You certainly can do it either way! I just wanted to share how I've done all 3 of my rounds, 1 with a HCG coach. I've been on this board for 1 1/2 years and everyone I've seen has done this too. I believe this is how the protocol is laid out, but am not home to check it.

I'm sure it won't make much difference in the long run, and we support you no matter what you choose. You've had a great round and wish you the best in P3!

Just fyi, from the horse's mouth (so to speak)--Pounds & Inches...

"As long as their weight stays within two pounds of the weight reached on the day of the last dose, patients should take no notice of any increase; but the moment the scale goes beyond two pounds, even if this is only a few ounces, they must on that same day entirely skip breakfast and lunch but take plenty to drink. In the evening they must eat a huge steak with only an apple or a raw tomato. Of course this rule applies only to the morning weight. Ex-obese patients should never check their weight during the day, as there may be wide fluctuations and these are merely alarming and confusing."

As weird and counterintuitive as it seems, according to P&I, LDW is the weight on your last day of dosing, NOT the day afterwards. Obviously, each person can use whatever weight they choose as LDW, but that's what Dr. S had to say about it. :)
