Struggling in P3

This is my second round. On my first round, I had absolutely no problems in Phase 3. This time I have had several days when I was over the 2 lb mark. The first time I was over the limit, I had plans to work in the yard a lot the next day. I didn't really think it would be good to fast for the first half of the day while I was doing a lot of manual labor. I was down almost 2 lbs the next morning. The next time was several days later and I was working that day. I am not certain of how to, on short notice, do a CD at work. I leave for work at 7am and dont get home until after 7pm. So if I fast for the first half of the day, it is almost 7:30 at night before I actually get to start eating my steak. I know there has been talk of a chicken day where you actually eat the chicken thighs all through the day, but I would need to have that cooked before I leave for work and I would not know ahead of time that I would need the CD. I was very careful about what I ate that day and was in the range the next day.

I had needed to do a CD yesterday, but since I was working, again I put it off and had planned to do one today, but I am again down into the range again this am.

I have not done anything different this time, but am really struggling. I am hoping for ideas of how to stay in range and what to do for CD's on my work days...

Thanks...
CM

Hi! I had a terrible time stabilizing in my last P3 as well (I am in P2 again now). I don't have any suggestions, but just sending hugs. You aren't alone! My mistake was adding too many new things too soon.

If you are in a crunch I would recommend doing a Greek Yogurt correction day. You can have up to 43 oz of something like Fage (Full Fat) with 8 oz berries. I usually added Splenda to mine and it was super yummy.

It's an easy CD and doesn't require any cooking if you are in a time crunch. Hope that helps!!

Drew, thanks so much for the correction day idea. I didn't know I could do that... I can always stop and pick up a large container of Yogurt on my way to work!!

I have found that if i went over the 2 pound limit that eating 5-6 apples the next day instead of the steak and tomato, took about 3 pounds off.
just a thought

Hi canaed,

Your P3 experiences sound a lot like mine. My first round I stabilized so well I was eating friend chicken and hidden carbs and still weighing in at my window every single day. My second P3 was a complete disaster... until I started JUDDD. Before JUDDD, I was gaining every single day and as someone who lost just 15 lbs, gaining back 5 of those in a week did not sit well with me. I tried Leptin - lost 1.5 the first day, gained 2 the next. I started JUDDD last week and one week in, not only am I within window but I lost 3 lbs since starting it and am 0.4 under my LDW. I am in no way saying you should do JUDDD, just telling you what worked for me - what I've learned from this experience is that everything works differently for everyone every single time.

Good luck!

I have not started to do JUDDD, but am inching back up to my weight limit. So maybe I will start today with a DD. Adeline, there is a whole board for JUDDD. But as I understand it, you can eat anything you want as long as you keep the calories down to around 25% of your normal calorie intake for weight maintenance....

DDs usually consist of 500 calories. You know how to eat and what to eat for 500 calories How long were you in P2

That is while it appeals to most hcger's. They are so familiar with the DDs that they have half the diet down pat!

Dawn,

you are right. Of course I know what to eat for 500 calories. I am just chicken to try it without hcg in my system. And the 6 oz of protein a day and 2 cups of veggies and 2 fruits looks meager to me from the view of p3. I have been looking at the recipes for dd JUDD. I am needing to try them.

The tricks to have a full belly apply to JUDDD as well. Drink broth, coffee, tea....you know the drill. There is a forum here on JUDDD with a recipe thread for the down days. You can look there. Your calories can come from anywhere so are not limited in your imagination. I was just suggesting "Hungry Girl" recipes to some who want to try JUDDD. She has cookbooks out (a website too!) that are low calorie and look really great! She uses those noodles that are really really low calorie and filling. Glucomannann ones or something like that. I have found them in my Kroger store and cannot wait to try them. I have not tried any recipes yet, have been on hcg too long for that LOL. But am anxious to try them out real soon.

All that said, I do understand your nervousness to do the DDs with out the hcg. But others on the JUDDD forum are doing it. You can do it too!
