New to forum and HCG

Hello everyone, I decided to contact a local doctor and talk about my struggle to lose weight. She told me about the HCG diet and I am getting started in a week. I am doing a hormone saliva sample and blood work first. This is to rule out any other causes for my stubborn weight loss issues. I am excited and nervous to get started, but reading here is encouraging me. Now just hope giving myself a shot is easier than I am fearing it to be.

The shot stuff isn't so bad. I did them my first round...and I injected at my waistline, alternating sides of my navel based on day number (odds to left/evens to the right...or vice versa)...just pick a way and go for it.

You should follow your doctor's suggestions on injecting. I was told to vary the injection spot. I water-walk nightly and tried thigh injections...no matter how careful I was, or how thin the needle, I ALWAYS bruised. (I NEVER bruised along my waistline.) I decided I didn't want lots of purple quarter-sized bruises...so I chose to inject at the waist....

Follow the Pounds and Inches Protocol as closely as possible. There have been times when I have had to eat socially, I always get a large plain salad and some protein (steak or chicken). If the amount of meat is bigger than the palm of my hand, I remove it from the salad and do not eat it. Have you heard of Walden Farms products? They have some salad dressings that are decent...and have packages available of some flavors...good for going out. (I like their Sun-dried Tomato Italian..)

You can do this...but rememebr the losing is just the first part. then learning (and training your body) to maintain...is the second part...and it's important to do both.

thanks for the welcome

It is hard to imagine that I have not been able to lose the weight on my own, I have tried it on my own and had t consult with a doctor. I just picked up my rx shots and will start them on Saturday. I think a huge hurdle for me will be not eating chesse with the summer creprese salads and no wine. But I need to do this for me and my health. Have a goal of losing 20 pds and then once that goal is met 10 more.

My doctor moved my date up so I started today. Can't believe I was able to give myself the shot, I'm loading today and tomorrow. No headaches hope those don't show up, once eating low cals. I actually had no changes in any way today. Did anyone have wine on loading days ? I know I gotta give it up for six weeks so a small glass sounds so good. Thanks for the support ladies.

i say have anything on loading days you will miss over the next 3 weeks just remember a higher fat load results in less detox symptoms the first week on VLCDs (higher carbs / sugars increases detox symptoms)
oh yeah no symptoms from the hcg at all on loading days for me(except on my loading days my first round i LOST weight wish that would happen again!
you will do great!
