Mini, it's so interesting that the Nerium is stingy on your skin, I'm sure that's due to the recent peel. I get no sensation at all, but I do get the immediate "shrinking" or tightness. I'm very happy using this, but I'm noticing that it's not very moisturizing for a night cream. I'm going to message my friend and see if it's o.k. to apply a moisturizer after the nerium has penetrated. I also have a skin-care trainer friend of mine analyzing the ingredient list! She'll get back to me with whatever info she can come up with. She and I had messaged about it a couple of months ago, so we're both curious.

2 days in a row I've overeaten at night in epic proportions. I'm just not sure what my problem is. I know it's not possible to gain this much actual weight in one day, but it's dreadfully disempowering. I eat and eat with no feeling or thought. It's bordering on psychotic! Weird!

Where's my motivation? It seems to have taken a hiatus.

And, I have a victory party tonight - primary elections today and Mr. Goddess and I are campaigning for a local fellow.

I know. that hit me by surprise too. I just sat down the day before and decided that I am going to have to do another round of this. Then this, and of course funds are tight right this minute, but I rearranged things and got another bottle on order for the next round. Hopefully that's enough. Stupid FDA. Stupid Google.

Thought I'd post about the Nerium -- I put some on when I first got it today, and even with a wet face, it is pretty heavy and sticky ... and it smells strongly like wheatgrass! It has an immediate firming effect, and is a bit tingly/slightly stings when I first put it on.

I washed my face tonight and reapplied with more water, which made for a better applicaton. And, WHOA! It is already pulling a bunch of gunk out of my clogged pores! That, alone, might make it worth the price of admission, if it keeps my pores clear.

From here on out, I will just be doing it once a day, at night... but I was so excited to start that I had to put some on early in the day, when I first got it.

I'm excited to see where this takes me -- my skin is very primed for a new treatment, since it is just now finishing peeling -- so this is quite an adventure!
Okay. Where can I get some? I don't know what the stuff does or why you all are using it, but if it's cleaning out your pores, I want in! Best of luck with your veggi/fruit fast, Mini.

I've read on other threads to balance grams of fat and protein but it seems like a lot of fat. and 50 grs of carbs. is that too high? thanks again for y'alls help. i feel so lost going into p3.

Shannon
Shannon, I didn't worry about the ratios when I did my P3. I just slowly ramped up the calories the first week and then just ate what I would have eaten on any clean Atkins plan. I did great in P3. Not to worry! Have you ever done Atkins? That's all it is. Atkins Induction. I would limit the fruit.

I'm sorry this is happening to you, Lynne. I don't understand why we do some of the things we do. I think women are just pulled in all sorts of directions at once, with hormones and stuff we have raging through our systems. Be forgiving of yourself and never give up trying. This too shall pass.

As far as stocking up on hhcg/hcg, I've got a couple bottles. One opened and one still sealed. I won't be buying any more. I want to learn to lose weight without any special sort of substances. Plenty of people do it that way and I'm tired of relying on some special product to make it happen quicker. It just comes back on quicker, too.

I wish the FDA would stay out of it, though. Why aren't they doing something more useful, say like banning MSG! Or flavor enhancers. Now that would be more beneficial to the vast majority of people. But the lobbyist will never allow that to happen. It's all about the money. It's probably lobbyists for Weight Watchers and Jenny Craig and Weight Loss surgeons that are making the hhcg go away. I know what's going on.

Striving toward my new goal (see siggy.) I know I can reach it. I am going to start using my treadmill and buy a pump to firm-up my exercise ball. I will be doing exercises that will help make riding easier and to loosen and strengthen those key muscle groups. I've found some good Youtube videos that show some excellent moves to do just that. Now I need a good pump. (The people who live upstairs are into bicycling. Maybe they have a good pump I can borrow.) I just wish it had the kind of valve that didn't allow air to escape when the pump end thingy was removed.

I'm going to aim for 3 miles on the treadmill every day. Walk/jog, working up to all running. Then when I get there, I'll increase it to 5 miles and go back to walk/run until I can run all 5 miles. Doing that regularly should be plenty. I don't feel the need to work up to a full marathon or anything. I just want to get the cardiovascular benefit and build up my endurance, etc. It will also help to rev my metabolism, which obviously needs some "revving."

Another barn day today. Hoping it doesn't rain yet again but it's looking like it will. I've been praying so that the poor kids finally get to ride! Please join me in prayer, if you are a pray'er.

Got to go to the library to print out an application to hand in tomorrow evening at the Fish and Game. I want to rejoin so that I won't be trespassing on their property every time I take Cisco up there to swim. It's right behind my house so just a short walk up the road. Then I need to go to Staples and print up a bunch of color copies of flyers for the therapeutic riding center. They are having a "Hogs for Horses" ride to benefit the center and I have posted some flyers where "hogs" gather. I want to spread the word. I know how bikers love to ride for good causes.

Then I need to price a bunch of tag sale items. Saturday I will be with my old neighbor all day long at a tag sale in her yard. I hope it doesn't rain!!! My Lord! We need a break from all this rain. Please send it to places who are thirsty! We've had more than our share.

Cisco gets groomed tomorrow at noon so she'll have her short hair for the summer. The upstairs peeps will be laughing when they see her cause she looks like a totally different dog.

That's about all the news here. I hope everyone is doing well. Lynne, keep your chin up. And to our newbie, hope your trip overseas goes well and that you find plenty of P3-friendly foods to eat. I'm sure you will. Where are you going? For how long? Have a safe and wonderful trip!

Melanie, I would also limit the fruit. Berries are the best options because they are the lowest in carbs. I did not count calories or grams or configure ratios so don't sweat it. Cheryl offers great advice - the Atkins Induction food list is where its at. It is on the Atkins site.

Wow, I'm behind on everyone's posts!

Retail for the Nerium 1s 110, plus shipping -- if you become a loyal customer, you can get a better deal, etc. --- total pyramid marketing scheme, which is always a bit offputting to me (jeez, doesn't anyone remember the millions of failed predecessors to this one?) -- but honestly, it does seem like a very good product -- and a tiny bit goes a long way.

Interesting the difference in the way our skin reacts to it, Lynne -- I find it very hydrating, actually. I'm still getting the stinging, and I suspect you are right about that being due to the recent peel.

As for the hhcg, I stocked up the last time it looked like hhcg was being pulled forever, so I have two bottles of drops and a bottle of pellets in backstock -- that'll do me!

I am actually going to open one of the bottles of drops tomorrow -- I am just about out of the rx, and I am also pretty sure that it is losing or has lost potency -- I have been dragging really badly, and also getting very hungry at night (hence yesterday's refeed) -- it happened again today, but I ate fruit and toughed it out. I did make it through with just the fruits and veggies today, and plan to keep that going.

I think I am going to ride this darn round to goal, even though I am not loving it. I am off the scale until TOM starts winding down... and I think I am going to open the new bottle of drops, finish the cleanse, and then p2 it to goal.

Speaking of cleansing, I am cleaning the heck out of my studio, and finally unpacking boxes of my sweetie's that have been ignored since we moved in (over 4 yrs ago). I'm having to pull rank and just trash a bunch of papers -- there is old mail there that is unopened since 1991!!! He would keep everything, forever, if I didn't throw things out -- and I am SO sick of moving these 40 or so boxes that are taking up my space, and that are totally unorganized and full of lord-knows-what. Into the recycling it goes. I am saving anything that looks important to me ...

After about the five-hundredth time of asking him to go through them, and being met with a million reasons why not, I'm just done. I'm being bossy about this -- I want my studio space.

Lynne -- sorry to hear you are having the night time eating fits ... that is just not right!

I do suspect it is from the long-term caloric deprivation, and I will say again that it is pretty clear that this approach isn't agreeing with your body -- you're starving, but not losing -- and that is a no-win situation all the way around!

I wish I had an answer for you, but I surely don't -- maybe some of the metabolic-enhancement gurus can chime in here.

I really suspect you have something major going on in terms of a metabolic/endocrine imbalance -- I don't know if you have healthcare, but a full workup with a friendly doctor might be a really good idea. Shelby knows a lot about endocrine matters, and has been extremely helpful to me in figuring some of my stuff out on my own... might be worth pm-ing her...

well Lynn, where ever you're at, I'm getting there. 154 today. I am feeling frustrated. Thinking of doing an apple day today. Clean up my system. Something is not right. If that doesn't work and there is no change by Friday, I think I'm going to Phase 3, then back for another round after being as how there is no way I'm gonna get this weight off in one round anyway.

Wishing it could just magically fly away....

Up again today, but I know why. Might be some TOM stuff, I've had breast tenderness for 3 days now, and terrible upset tummy yesterday, which sometimes leads the way for TOM. And the glass of wine last night at a function along with a few little appetizers that I had no business eating...well, that definitely accounts for the 1lb. up.

So, honestly, I don't think I'm starving, I think I'm cheating!! But, why is the question. I'm normally so clear and focused and able to stick to my plan! I'm going to give myself a couple of days to pull it together before I make any decision to change anything.

In better news, my skin is looking so good!! My pores are shrinking, too!! Not sure if I'm seeing any firming yet, but I'm actually impressed!! I'm with you, mini, I don't like the MLM "pyramid" thing, but I will definitely sign up for the preferred customer thing if my skin keeps looking good like this!!

Hello ladies! I am definitely intrigued by the Nerium but right now 110 is alittle high for me but I will keep it in mind! I can always squeeze a long life out of stuff like that so may be worthwhile to investigate after I hear your glowing reviews!!
I did another leg/bum wrap last night. Legs definitely a bit tighter, cellulite still there but not at soft (do you know what I mean?) and holy cow did I notice my bum was not sticking out as much as usual. I didn't do measurements because I suck at consistency, but....I was down over 2 pounds this morning! So the wraps are definitely ridding my body of 'something', I don't care if its just water weight! My cuz has lost over 4" since Friday doing two stomach wraps. I am definitely hooked to these things!!

Wow, ladies. I can't afford ANY of that stuff you are splurging on. I thought the wraps would HAVE to be reusable. Why not just buy some wide ace wraps and use those? Does the same thing, right? Compression over time? I'd try that before I spend all that money on those special wraps.

I think I'm just over gimmicky stuff that has all these claims of great benefits. I'm just ready to WORK FOR IT! Put in the work, not just dieting. I am waking up to the realization that you can't get to goal by just focusing on one aspect of weight loss and fitness. You HAVE to move your body a lot more than you already are.

Today I weed whacked my entire front yard (the place I just moved out of.) That was my exercise for the day. But tomorrow I do my 3 miles on the treadmill, in addition to getting things ready for the tag sale on Saturday. Friday is another riding lesson. I'm going to give it another try and see if I can do it. (Last Friday was BAD.)

The dining room table is finally going to be paid in full and taken away on Friday. The lady works and can't get there before 4 pm, but my riding lesson is at 5 and I have to be there about 30 minutes early to tack up the horse. She thinks I'm going to go there to get the rest of the money and then drive away with the house left open while she waits for her son to arrive with the truck a couple hours later. Ut-uh. I will help her cart the chairs, the glass top and the table base out to the driveway, and she can sit on the porch while she waits for her son. Actually, she can sit at the table!

I am NOT leaving the house unlocked and have her cruising through, looking around at all my stuff. No way Jose. I don't know this woman. And I have a lot of good crap left in there! Ain't happening. In fact, I think I'll get there before her and start carting the chairs out before she gets there. Then we can remove the glass top, set it aside, take the base outside and then carry the glass top out and just set it on the base. Done! Paid for and ready to rock and roll down the road.

I am so wasted! Time to go make my pan pizza and crawl into my PJ's for the night. Tomorrow is another day. Will spend most of it at the old house, organizing for the tag sale on Saturday. Pricing stuff, etc. Oh! And using the treadmill and my newly-filled exercise ball.

the wraps have a gel on them that is absorbed through the skin. they are not wrapped tight and compression has nothing to do with it. it is more of a piece of paper/fabric with the gel on it. the wraps aren't neccessarily for fat loss, but inch loss and detox. they also improve the appearance of cellulite, scars, and stretch marks (I am just repeating what I have been told, the only experiences I've had with it have been inches lost from tummy and thighs). just google "It Works! wraps" and you can probably find a distributor near you or you can order on line. They aren't really made for weight loss but I guess I have flushed out so much water it reflected on the scale.

Cheryl, I do the compression wraps where I work, and they are great for a special night or event, but the results don't last very long, 24-36 hours usually. I have some Murad firming cream and I was thinking of doing it on my upper arms, just for laughs!! Who knows, maybe it will help?

Well, will wonders never cease? I'm down a bit this morning, and that's after I decided to stop dosing. I took a dose early yesterday morning, but not since. I just think I'm wasting my pellets, and since they're going away I'd better conserve! I'm going to take a few days to think about this, and eat carefully, and decide what to do.

Mini, how many pumps of Nerium are you using? My gal said 4, but it seemed like so much, and I'm getting sufficient coverage with 3. Do you think this will diminish the benefits? I'm applying to my entire face, neck and back of neck and behind ears.

SDkeeran -- Flax gives some folks problems on p3, so use at your own risk... others do fine with it.

Ladies -- we must be having a cursed round... my scale jumped up 5 lbs since last week -- and yes, I am on TOM, and I have a lot of fiber in my system, but seriously, that's nuts. I think some of it is that I am eating more carbs, since I am doing the fruits and veggies only/cleansing thing .... but I am really about to ditch this whole hcg plan for now. Of course, I just opened a new bottle of hhcg drops, so it is a terrible time to decide that...lol.

I'm going to continue the cleanse for a few more days, and dose through that -- and at that point I will see what the scale has to say -- but I am seriously thinking I may just jump ship entirely and go to JUDDD and some serious working out.

I'm enjoying my fruit, especially bananas, which I hadn't had in a gazillion years, and finally splurged on yesterday -- I'm doing a lot of heavy work with all the household stuff, and I think my muscles are appreciative of the glycogen stores, frankly.

All in all, even at a good ten pounds above my "tolerable stopping point" I don't look bad -- and I think I may be done fighting for the moment. If this plan isn't working, then I need to find one that will -- and I am hopeful that JUDDD will be that plan. (And no, I won't be one of those JUDDDers who starts eating sugar and lots of carbs, as many people do -- I'm on the whole/clean foods for life wagon!)

I'm thinking about 4 to 5 more days of the cleanse, and then I will figure out where to go from here -- but my thought is that I am going to go straight to JUDDD, and hit the gym, and just eat clean and healthy.

I'm hoping I can get back to 110 or lower that way (which is 9.2 lbs below where I am sitting as of this morning .... grrrrr!)

Time to hit the household chores, ladies -- I am unloading so much junk, it is truly amazing. That, at least, feels great!

Congratulations, Disney!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lynne -- I am really liking the Nerium too! I'm also seeing a difference in my pores, and my skin is feeling really good. I'm just healing from a minor acne outbreak, so we will see where it goes after that is healed up. I'm thinking about doing a dermaroll with the 1mm roller tonight before applying. I can't say I see a difference in lines yet, but there is a nice plumpness to my skin that I am really liking.

I am using the 4 pumps -- I don't know if that makes a difference or not. I'm using extra on the problem areas....

I am still thinking I may spring for the It Works wraps next month, if finances allow-- I am waiting to see Riley's results first, lol!

In other news, I am on an all out mission to put weight on my sweetie (we've been through this before) -- he just keeps losing weight, and it is scaring both of us. Part of it really is that he tends not to eat all day, and then eat one meal at night (of questionable nutritive value)-- and the last few months have been a bit lean food wise, because we've been so broke --- but we are both worried that something may be wrong health-wise, so now that we have enough income to buy food again, I am launching an all out plan to feed him.

He's 6 feet tall, fairly normal frame size, and he is down to 141 lbs!!!!!!! That is NOT ok... he looks really great, and lean, at about 165.

So, Mr. "I don't do health food" is sitting here drinking a protein shake that I made him, with fruit, cream, protein powder, and honey. I am home for the summer, so I am going to make sure he consumes calories throughout the day.

My best guess is that he's been eating somewhere in the 2500 daily of late, if that, and losing weight at that level, so I think he needs to snorf down about 4000 calories a day if he wants to gain anything ... he was maintaining last year at about 3000, roughly, and that was when I was continually urging him to eat, and resorting to buying the higest calorie treats I could find.

He's amenable to drinking shakes this time, though, so that'll help -- I can pack a ton of good, nutritive calories into one glass, given the resources. After the current batch of protein powder is gone, I am going for the "mass gainer" stuff that bodybuilders use.

He's also finally given in and started taking vitamins, which is a huge victory. You know he's scared, or he wouldn't be agreeing to any of this.

Mini - I will keep you updated. I wasn't taking measurements but on my next ones I will and let you know. I will also take better before and after pics. I may just post the other ones the lady took but she took from different angles and distances so it distorts my tummy a bit.
My cousin has lost 4" from two wraps around her tummy and her stretch marks are considerably diminished. She is doing it to tighten up her cesarean scar, etc. I am determined to try anything to help with the cellulite but it is so stubborn.
I just re read the packet and it says to do the wraps until you reach the desired result then maintenance is just one wrap monthly.
Have fun fattening up your sweetie! I understand your frustrations. My aunt is having the same problem with her hubby...
