I had a cousin who was also bitten by a brown recluse and I know how horrible the bite is. I'm sorry that happened to you. Good Lord, Mini. What hasn't happened to you? The pain is definitely not muscular. I took a Flexeril and four Motrin before riding today and it was as if I took nothing at all. In fact, I couldn't make it through the whole hour and had to be majorly assisted off the horse when my left hip siezed up on me. I was in tears and it was awful. I'm so Pissed that the Dr just ordered me those damn pills and didn't take me seriously. I'm going to be in his FACE come Monday and I WILL be seen by a specialist asap. Quote:

I'm so upset about how the riding lesson went down today that I want to break my June pact on June 1st and just go buy some booze. I want to just get sloshed tonight. I know it is leading away from my goal and it's the wrong response to my perdicament but the brat in me wants to lash out!

Cheryl, I sure hope you get all this figured out!! That kind of pain is scary!! Shame on your doctor, give 'em hell!!
Mini, I got the Nerium and used it tonight! I was so excited I failed to read the simple directions: apply to moist skin after washing!! My face was dry, and the cream is so dense it was hard to spread around!! I'll do better tomorrow!! |

Thanks for the heads up on the wet face, Lynne-- I could totally see myself doing the same thing!
Cheryl, I do hope you get a better diagnosis re: your hip -- that sounds horrible!!!! I ended up with a more balanced day, diet wise, than I planned -- I did house chores all day that included some rather heavy moving/lugging (now we have to find places for all this stuff from the exhibit, and a lot of stuff can be put into storage that won't be used again soon, etc., hence the rearranging) I came in about 800 calories -- fruit, veggies, protein, coconut oil. I was dragging too badly on the fruit/veggie only option. It's fine -- I'm still on more of a p2 than I often am when rogue, and I'm feeling okay about it.

Good morning everyone!
Been busy here. not only with activity but we had some bad storms coming thru here yesterday so I turned everything expensive off/unplugged for a good while just in case. Of course because I was prepared, nothing exciting happened! Bulk of it went north and south of us, which is a good thing. Some of the storms even had funnel-cloud sightings. (A good storm is actually cleansing but tornadoes are NO fun. Hope Paula is ok too) So everything is back up and running. Including my weight-loss. Yesterday weigh in was 153.4! and today's is 152.6. Not too bad. so now to try and catch up with everyone... lol. I'm almost glad the list was so quiet while I was away! Makes me feel missed. :-) Besides it makes it doable to catch up on you all. Reading the list and taking notes... so much to learn! and not just Hcg lol. Mini, I am with you! When my gut isn't happy, I'm not happy. I take probiotics daily and do a regular mini-cleansing. Occassionally when the need arises (and don't we know it), I do a full 10 day detox/cleanse. And I am seldom sick any more. Julie, I'm trying not to think of this (my first round) as torture, even though sometimes it seems like it (especially when my stupid phone pulls up Papa John's app for no reason lol). I think of it as discipline, extreme, concentrated discipline. I am disciplining a body that has been out of control, not just physically, but mentally and hormonely, for years now. And it doesn't like it. Not one bit. It wants pizza. But I am resetting my metabolism and learning a whole new way to eat and live. Sitting in a swanky restaurant (which my future son-in-law INSISTED we all had to go to while in NC) (ok it wasn't SOOOO swanky, I've been in better but I didn't let on.), ordering salad and water and having them bring out a bowl of lame unadored lettuce (ok endive. big diff) while everyone else had seafood (my vegetarianism being tempted as well...) in all sorts of sauces, but I muddled thru. Ordering apple slices at McD's while everyone else chowed down was easy... That sort of food doesn't even tempt me. But the look on the cashier's face was precious and his comment "the ones from the happy meal??", well I just gave him a big smile ![]() If I can get my weight down anywhere in the 30s this round, I will be dancing with joy and it will all be worth it! Disney, I missed you while I was in town! jk but I did keep thinking I'd run into you. I've done that often with board-buddies over the years; seems to be a skill of mine while out-of-town. But Camp LeJeune has the most awesome beach! (and the scenery there isn't bad either. :0 acres of shirtless men... not bad. and def incentive to lose this weight before next trip down! (beautiful families there too... I don't anyone to get the wrong idea. I loved all the little kids running around having fun; made some new little friends.) But to you. glad your weekend was enjoyable and you got a much needed get-away too. As to Hcg being anti-inflammatory, I hear ya. My hip hasn't bothered me (except a twinge when that sub-tropical front was moving towards us fast in NC) and it was acting up regularly for the 6 months before Hcg. Someone to explore that cuz it seems to work. All this talk of dermarollers and TCA peels has me thinking that is real torture! (says she with ultra-sensitive skin) never did a peel stronger than salicylic/glycolic and I use a kinda foam/plastic roller. But maybe I should go experiment... if it works. Right now I feel I'm losing the battle and not happy about it. Nerium, I don't know but it sounds interesting. I have tried tons of miracle products and seem SOME results but nothing, well, miraculous. I am dying to hear how it works for you both! Keep us posted. Prayers for you, Cheryl. Hope they find out what the problem is and the pain goes away. mini, praying the stress gets less and life treats you good. and continued prayers for you, Disney, and for Noah. Hopefully I didn't forget anyone! Wheeww! This is a novel! Now back to my mundane life. gonna do some major cleaning today. Can't wait! (not) (can you tell I'm procrastinating?) Hi, ladies. Had myself a lazy, rainy day today. First day ever in this duplex where I spent most of it in bed. But having done so, I think I've made my pain and stiffness worse. One or two times when I made the treck into the kitchen, even the soles of my feet were in a lot of pain!
I have been feeding my emotions for 24 hours and luckily I was too lazy to go out to the liquor store. I had talked myself into not implementing my new June Plan until Monday. Sometimes, laziness pays off. (No booze, I mean.) I'm not doing hhcg right now but all this talk about it having an anti-inflammatory affect is making me think. No, I'm not going to do a P2 right now, but I will see how I feel as the week progresses and then decide if I want to throw a few pellets into my LC program. I'm pretty depressed. All I wanted to do today was sleep and hide from the world. The rain was a perfect back-drop. Gave me plenty of reason to do just that. It will pass. My food choices from last evening when I did a junk-food-run to the drug store is playing into the pain I'm feeling all over. I simply can not eat food like that anymore. How can I even call it "food"? ![]() Tomorrow I will cleanse out my system. Drink tons of water and coffee, take a full dose of milk of mag in the morning and stay close to the bathroom all day and evening. Then Monday I'll begin my June plan and get back on my feet again. Monday is one of my equine care days. I hope the rain is over by then. Suzi, that was cute about the apple slices. I imagine the scenery down there is just lovely. ![]() Hugs and love to all! Sorry for my dark mood. It will be over but I will have to make it go away by my behavior. Last edited by CherylB; 06-02-2012 at 05:48 PM.. |

Hugs, Cheryl! Hope you feel better soon!
I'm in hibernating mode myself -- resting, reorganizing, cleansing, recovering from a skin peel -- all good and restorative things to do. I like and need my alone time. (My roommate is being a creature straight from h*ll right now, though, and that is making the situation at home tense -- when she's feeling bad, we all pay the price.) Suzi -- TCA doesn't sting the way the glycolic and glycolic-combo peels do -- you peel like the dickens, but the stinging is super short lived. I love my TCA peels. Dermarolling isn't bad, particularly if you numb the sensitive areas. I roll quite deep, and have minimal discomfort from it -- and I do find it works wonders over time. My skin looks worlds better and significantly younger than it did ten years ago, and that is no exaggeration! I'm getting into the deep part of this cleanse, where it is clearly removing some things that need removing -- I'll spare you the details! I'm also getting some deep detox symptoms, and was pretty dragged out today -- so I've been taking it easy. I'm thinking I will cleanse for at least another five days, and then figure it out from there. So far, it feels like the right thing to be doing -- and since I am not doing it totally fasted, there's no need to limit the length of time. I have five more dosing days I think, minimum, this round -- and then I am free to transition to p3 if I want -- if I extend it, I'll be switching to the hhcg, since I am done with the rx, and not ordering any more. I may hold out for 105 after all -- I'm liking what I'm eating, and actually think I will continue eating this way, just a bit more food overall, for p3. The plan is still to do JUDDD for p3 - we'll see how I feel when I get there, though. It might be better to find a more balanced way of daily eating -- but I can try it and see -- if it doesn't work for me, I'll go for a more traditional p3 with correction days. |

Just wanted to update on the wrap party:
I lost over 1" - I can tell I've lost a lot more since then. I decided to wrap my stomach. I bought two more wraps to wrap my thighs. I wrapped them yesterday, and will wrap them again Tuesday. I decided to do my stomach first so I could see the instant results, because the lady selling it said that your legs are more stubborn and they take a few wraps to see results. They seem slightly smoother/slimmer, but of course I forgot to measure but all I'm really looking for is an improvement in the cellulite. The girl who had the party said that between the wraps and the defining gel, her legs were super tight and bump free. Since my cousin is selling it I'm signing up for the autodelivery for 3 months. I only have 1(ish) more lb to go before I'm back to where I was before the holiday weekend, and 1(ish) more til I'm in my lowest weight again. I had a large dip cone from DQ yesterday and I was only up .4 so I was relieved. Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Erin, we posted at the same time!!
I'm intrigued by these wraps, and I look forward to hearing more from you as the days go by. If I read correctly, there will be more inch loss over the next couple of days. I'd love to encase my entire body in a wrap that worked, but mostly I want to start with my upper arms and chin/neck. Next on the priority list is tummy/muffin top/love handles. Then upper/inner thighs. |

Ooh! Wraps and peals! I think I'd rather do the wraps. I have no idea where to get either, so I'll just watch you guys doing this stuff. I bought a dermaroller a long time ago (after listening to Mini) but it's never been used. I'm into instant gratification and have little faith in things like that. Plus my skin is super-sensitive and I don't want to be walking around with a red, irritated face a few days after rolling.
So where do these wraps come from? I'm with you, Lynne. My upper arms and turkey wobble is bad. I think I'd wrap my arms, then my gut, then my thighs. If I wrap my neck I might die! I'm a bit better today. Mood is lighter. I woke and opened all the blinds and curtains and windows. Only 72 degrees and light and lovely outside. Breeze blowing and it is heavenly. Sister and her hubby were down at the beach and they said they just drove through a storm cell with lots of rain and hail. I guess that's making its way up here. :/ And I just watered all the outdoor plants with the hose! Oops. Still in pain today but it's mostly my tailbone. So weird how it didn't really bother me much the first week after I fell and now it hurts worse than then. I changed the humming bird feeder liquid for the third and probably last time today. Not one single hummer spotted so far and I hung that over a week ago. ![]() I looked out the window and saw a pretty butterfly flitting from flower to flower on my hanging flower basket. Going to my Mom's at 0800 tomorrow to empty out her refrigerator and freezer cause the housing community is giving her a new/newer one at 0900 or 1000. She's in a lot of pain right now so I said I'd help her. I'll take all the food out and put it in the coolers, bring her more ice and frozen refreezable things and pack them up, but she wants to wipe down the new fridge/freezer and wait until it's cold before loading it with the food. I told her she'd be on her own for that part. I can't spend all morning there. I have barn duty on Monday and Tuesdays (looks like it will rain both days, too.) My dog found a very old, very nasty rawhide bone that the neighbor dog buried months ago and it was perfectly marinated for her tastes. The past few days, she's been laying out in the yard and eating it. I tossed (what I thought was all of it) a large piece the other day but today she went out and was nowhere to be found so I snuck out there quietly and found her laying in the shade with a huge part of the bone. She stopped gnawing when she saw me approaching. When I slowly walked around her, she just watched me. When I decided she could continue to eat it, I went up to her to pet her on her head. That's when she snarled and that was the end of that bone. I wrestled her for it and in the trash it went. Damn dog. Then I gave her one of her good rawhides and she promptly buried it somewhere. Yeesh. Took my Milk of Mag at 1000 when I woke up. Looks like it will be a long night cause nothing's happening yet. Drinking coffee and will only eat a little cheese later on tonight if I get hungry. Probably won't get hungry at all. I hope I finally straighten up and fly right this time. I feel so rotten when I eat poorly. I am clearly allergic to carbs. I hope all you lovely ladies have a great Sunday! Maybe someday Paula will come and say hello. Still can't figure out her disappearance. So strange! Last edited by CherylB; 06-03-2012 at 11:41 AM.. |

Morning ladies --
TOM really starting and scale is up -- grump! Should have stayed off the darn thing --- I know better than to weigh the first few days of TOM. I'll keep fighting the good fight over here though -- this weight will come off eventually. Have a good one all! |

The wraps can be ordered online - they are It Works! wraps. If you know a distributor you can order from them, or else you can probably just order them strait from the source. My cousin just started selling it as well so if you'd like her site just let me know. I googled and googled and googled, there are SO many before and after pics. They make wraps specifically for your neck and face. The body wraps come one size but I cut them in half to do each leg (or arm, etc...). When I get on the mailing list I will do a whole one on each leg. I did not measure my legs, because I'm mostly just concerned about cellulite appearance, and I really can see a difference today. It is strange when you are wearing the wrap because you can tell it is instantly doing something, because I peed 4 times in the 1 hour I wore it!
Lynne you are correct apparently it takes 72 hours for the toxins to all be released. You can do another wrap every 3 days. I am doing my legs again on Tuesday. Cheryl love the puppy story! Last edited by RileyWorm; 06-03-2012 at 05:03 PM.. |

So how long does it take for you to swell back up again? I'd hate to wrap myself, squeeze out all the fluids, put on something like skin-tight jeans and then feel myself filling back up again!
I want that website, Erin! PM me, please. Are they reusable? I'm all about "reusable" stuff. Puppy: She's a brat. Grrr! |

I kinda fell off the rails today -- all very clean, whole foods, but high on the calories. TOM and depletion got to me
![]() Tomorrow is another day, though, and I am launching into my cleanse again full force. I'm also staying off the scale for a few days -- I will weigh when TOM is slowing down. |

Grrrr. I guess good morning, all. up this morning. stuck at 152.6 yesterday am and then 153.8 this morning. Pouring over my thoughts to see what I did wrong. Can't think of anything... unless... You don't think its that TINY (maybe 1/2 inch square) cube of premium vermont cheddar they were giving out as samples at the grocery store yesterday? I mean COME ON. THAT was NOT one "pound" of cheese. (but I have been so craving cheese and it tasted soooooooooooooooooooo good. lol) just in case, I am swearing off cheese for the next three weeks! lol
Seriously... I had a good weekend. did a lot of "stuff". kept busy. both boys were away so I did a lot of "me" time. went where I wanted to go, did what I wanted to do, kinda decadent. lol. Now back to real life. Vacation over, weekend over... job hunt continues. Suzi |

Fat fasting for the most part today -- but probably at 75% fat, rather than 90 -- I had two eggs this morning, along with my coconut oil/almond butter.
One meal, somewhere around 1000-ish calories, and it is fasting for the rest of the day for me and doing the cleanse. I will probably have some lemon juice in my detox tea, but otherwise I am done eating for the day. No scale for me until TOM is over. I will decide whether to keep going or stop with the minimum round after that variable is removed. |

well, where to start. i begin p3 later this week. i hit my goal weight. thank god!obviously i am on the nervous side and am going to be cautious. i was hoping to get some input here. I've read you need to slowly increase your calories. at 5ft 2in and 115 lbs it looks like i need between 150
0-1600. so i was going to progressively go 900, 1300, 1600. will that work? i gained with*coconut oil*on p2. does that mean it will happen again on p3? also, i will be traveling out of the country for two weeks in july. any p3 advice from y'all that have done this before? snacks to pack? i already have a travel scale.*i hope to have stabilized during the 21 days in june before leaving but i planned on doing a six week p3 adding some carbs back after the first three weeks.i did a long round of 40 days and don't want to chance it.has anyone gained with avacados or salmon? i am scared to try them. it's seems to good to be true to start having these from day one. sdkeeran, don't be scared to eat, eat, eat on P3! It is important to rev up that metabolism. I would start out at as high of calories as you can handle.I have never heard to slowly increase your cals but perhaps that is the new standard. For travel snacks, hard boiled eggs, pepperonis, nuts, string cheese, are all my go-to's. Avocadoes and salmon are just fine.
For an example for my first day P3, I would eat scrambled eggs with either sausage and bacon and coffee with heavy cream; lunch would be a chef salad or a bunless burger, and dinner would be ribeye steak with broccoli. With snacks as I need them. That is just me though, some people wait a few days to try eggs, dairy, and nuts. I absolutely subside almost completely on Greek Yogurt. However its important to note that what works for me may not work for you, I'm sure the other girls will be along shortly to offer their advice as well. You will do just great! |

Hi rogue buddies!! Good to catch up w. you all. You sound great!!
I'm up still, and enjoying it. I've been working on building up my metabolism, and it's working. Using body temp as a guide, I'm up to 97.8 in the morning, which is quite high for me!! It's def 98's most of the day! that ought to get my metabolism humming!! I hope to get back closer to LDW soon, but I'll likely be doing another round in July. Quote:

Wow, Julie -- that is wonderful about the temperature -- I'd love to get mine that high!
In the service of that very thing, I ended up turning today into a refeed day -- I was tanking badly, and starving by the end of the day -- so I did one champion refeed meal, including some carbs from molasses, which I so rarely do. I packed away some ungodly number of calories just now, and I could still eat more... but I won't. Now, it is time to get really serious about the last leg of this p2/cleanse -- I am going into a veggies and juices only phase that I hope I can sustain for a week. Wish me luck! |

Ugh, I feel all heavy after my refeed earlier -- I will be glad to start fasting tomorrow I think (tell me that later in the week, lol!)
Thought I'd post about the Nerium -- I put some on when I first got it today, and even with a wet face, it is pretty heavy and sticky ... and it smells strongly like wheatgrass! It has an immediate firming effect, and is a bit tingly/slightly stings when I first put it on. I washed my face tonight and reapplied with more water, which made for a better applicaton. And, WHOA! It is already pulling a bunch of gunk out of my clogged pores! That, alone, might make it worth the price of admission, if it keeps my pores clear. From here on out, I will just be doing it once a day, at night... but I was so excited to start that I had to put some on early in the day, when I first got it. I'm excited to see where this takes me -- my skin is very primed for a new treatment, since it is just now finishing peeling -- so this is quite an adventure! |

Erin, Suzi, and Julie- thank you, thank you, thank you
my first day p3 menu breaks down to 96g of fat, 95g of protein and 50g of carbs ( from mixed greens, blackberries, and an apple) is that ok? I've read on other threads to balance grams of fat and protein but it seems like a lot of fat. and 50 grs of carbs. is that too high? thanks again for y'alls help. i feel so lost going into p3.
