Berta hi I'm very committed. I was just looking at options due to a food allergy. I can eliminate the turkey though. Thanks.

I know Aveeno is one lotion but it was a certain kind? I just meant if you really want to loose good then you should do protocol. If want to go rogue that would be up to you. But Dr.S spent 25 yrs researching the plann and he knows what works best So ultimately it is your decision.

I am new at it so maybe some of the others can help you better than me.
I just happened to still be up tonight

Hi just a shout out of thanks to Berta, Sunflower, Kimmie, Dawn, Shelby, misslatte and anyone I left out. I am crushed between work and a toddler but reading these posts keeps me motivated to stick with P2.

I am on day 2 VLCD, down 1.2 (so frickin excited!). I am now on the rx, after switching from the drops. I just couldn't get them to work for me - always missed doses and then ate what I shouldn't. So I started over!

Anyway, Berta taking her meal with her and the related support indirectly kept me on plan PERFECTLY today, so thank you for that. I am hoping for the strength to do it again tomorrow - I also have a dinner to attend at a restaurant so I have to contend with that. Ugh! Hard to hide for all of P2!

I know what you mean.I had a wedding shower to go to tonight and was I ever temptedIt was awful cause I hadn't had anything to eat except some lettuce. AND THEY HAD SANDWICHES, CHIPS, NUTS,DIFFERENT CHEESES, OLIVES,ASSORTED VEGGIES & DIPS, GRAPES, STRAWBERRIES( I COULD HAVE HAD THEM BUT I WANTED THEM FOR MY EVENING SNACK WHEN WE GOT HOME)AND PUNCH & CAKE IT WAS SO TEMPTING SITTING THERE WATCHING EVERYONE ELSE EATING & SAYING HOW WONDERFUL IT TASTED

But I did not caveI sat there and chatted with everyone and drank my water. I told them I ate before I came.(I did I had lettuce)

So I am very proud of myself tonight AGAIN!!!
I would never in a million years ever thought I would have the strength to do that!
I CAN DO THIS. AND YOU CAN TOO

Been zooming for the past 2 days...down to 0.6 over R2-LDW. and made it through a week of all sorts of going out social events...
Meeting a GF for coffee tomorrow (begged off of lunch) and doing my best to reach my next goal of 225.

Will check in when work isn't keeping me glued to the chair. (I HAVE gotten out and doen my pool walking for an hour a day (everyday) this week!)

Going to get my beef today then I've got everything. So I take it's okay to use the walden calorie free dressings and products? Are there any better than others? Thanks!

Morning ladies! My first vlcd yesterday was not nearly as hard as I expected. I did have a couple times where I felt not quite right....almost queasy....but they passed within a short amount of time and I was fine. I'm excited to report that I'm down 3.8 pounds after my first vlcd so that definitely helps with the motivation to keep going. Starting my 2nd vlcd today so let's hope things continue to go well.

Hope you all have a great day!

Quick question for you all. I'd like to use a little red wine vinegar on my lettuce. I believe vinegar is on the acceptable list of foods but I just wanted to confirm that red wine vinegar is also acceptable. Can any of you give me some advice on that?

It's really NOT on protocol but several of the ladies use it and it hasn't hurt. Myself for one. I love the BBQ sauce(for my hamburgr & chicken), Miracle Mayonnaise(make slaw and egg salad), Caramel Dip (for my apples)Rasberry Vinegrtte Dressing for my salad. But everyonwe has different tastes. We purchased the blu Cheese and it's in the trash can

Guess they aren't quite upfront when they say you loose 1-2 lbs a day then

I asked about a laxative and Dawn said Magnesium. Is it the Milk of Magnesium or capsels in the bottle? They don't have smooth move tea here.

Down 0.2 this morning to 200 even. This setpoint/barrier is starting to drive me a bit crazy. Luckily I have a busy weekend, so hopefully I will stay on track and see that "1" soon.

Just wondering - why do you think it is that exercise is not recommended on Dr S's plan (I think there is an exception if you were exercising before though)?

Trudeau updated Dr S plan is that right? What did he recommend that is different? I think I will go look it up since I am bored and trying to stay out of the kitchen while the baby naps. I have had 5 cups of tea today already!

I don't use magnesium for a laxative. Others do, though. I take Natural Calm, which has magnesium in it. I don't have the container to see what the ingredients are. I have the powder in my smaller tupperware so it won't take up too much room in my cabinet. I don't take it regularly anymore. Just when I feel I need it. Even my DH liked using it when he had bathroom issues. Have you found the Natural Calm? I get it in my local Vitamin Shoppe.

It interferes with scale weight. You might not see the big drops on the scale if you include strenuous exercise. I continue with my nightly walking while on P2. I walk every day for 20 mins. But I stroll along--no power walking for me. It actually helps me lose!

PS One poster here a long while ago said she was able to check out Trudeau's book on weight loss from her library. So if you don't want to buy it you can possibly borrow it! I bought it from a TJ Maxx store for about $2 or $3 a while ago. I would not have paid much more for that book. He includes too many things that I am unwilling to do and if I would follow everything in that book---I would be broke as well as not motivated to even begin P2 LOL

Thanks! I just took a few minutes and read a bit about Trudeau. Not much positive about him out there, as he is not a dr himself, and mainly seems to have added a cleanse phase before P2 - and other wise is just selling a book based on what Dr S already did! ... Yea, um, no thanks!

No I haven't found it I forgot what it was called But it seems every time I ask about it Mother Nature does her job by herself.I just wish it would be in the morning BEFORE I weigh

How are you feeling by now? I hope MUCH better

Can we use dill relish? Have you tried the WF Miracle Mayo yet?I made slaw today and ate it with my TilapiaYUMMO! I added a bit of sweetner and celery seed and vinegar.Chilled it and ate it.... it was really good.

Have a great rest of the week-end.

Berta--well that is great that you DON"t need it. LOL. Let nature take its course, that is the better way to deal with that anyway. You don't want to be dependent on anything in the future. I am feeling better. I don't have the fear of losing my voice all the time now. Just some of the time. I go back to the doctor on Monday and will ask her how I am doing. I see her for my thyroid checkup, but will discuss other things as well. I have not tried the mayo yet. We ate out for lunch--the place we went had grilled chicken tenders and grilled shrimp. Got the chicken and took home DH grilled shrimp. So I am set for dinner too! But will try the mayo soon. Your enthusiasm has me wanting to try it real soon. There are a few possibilities with it I had not even thought of. I am glad you brought it up! You have a great weekend too!

I picked up some of the Walden calorie free choc syrup and put it on some fresh strawberries. Oh my gosh, that is heavenly!!! So far sticking right on plan today. I'm actually not that hungry. I think it's more mental than anything else. And I looked at Harris Teeter for the miracle mayo and Walden caramel syrup. They had everything else but not those two.I may have to order those directly. I also got the bbq sauce and a few of the salad dressings. This will definitely make the plan easier.
