Berta hi I'm very committed. I was just looking at options due to a food allergy. I can eliminate the turkey though. Thanks.

Hi just a shout out of thanks to Berta, Sunflower, Kimmie, Dawn, Shelby, misslatte and anyone I left out. I am crushed between work and a toddler but reading these posts keeps me motivated to stick with P2.
I am on day 2 VLCD, down 1.2 (so frickin excited!). I am now on the rx, after switching from the drops. I just couldn't get them to work for me - always missed doses and then ate what I shouldn't. So I started over! Anyway, Berta taking her meal with her and the related support indirectly kept me on plan PERFECTLY today, so thank you for that. I am hoping for the strength to do it again tomorrow - I also have a dinner to attend at a restaurant so I have to contend with that. Ugh! Hard to hide for all of P2! |

Going to get my beef today then I've got everything. So I take it's okay to use the walden calorie free dressings and products? Are there any better than others? Thanks!

Berta and others who are going out on P2, WTG!!! It's so hard to stay on protocol in social situations, but SO worth it. Hope everyone had a great Saturday |

Morning ladies! My first vlcd yesterday was not nearly as hard as I expected. I did have a couple times where I felt not quite right....almost queasy....but they passed within a short amount of time and I was fine. I'm excited to report that I'm down 3.8 pounds after my first vlcd so that definitely helps with the motivation to keep going. Starting my 2nd vlcd today so let's hope things continue to go well.
Hope you all have a great day! |

Quick question for you all. I'd like to use a little red wine vinegar on my lettuce. I believe vinegar is on the acceptable list of foods but I just wanted to confirm that red wine vinegar is also acceptable. Can any of you give me some advice on that?

Down 0.2 this morning to 200 even. This setpoint/barrier is starting to drive me a bit crazy. Luckily I have a busy weekend, so hopefully I will stay on track and see that "1" soon.

Just wondering - why do you think it is that exercise is not recommended on Dr S's plan (I think there is an exception if you were exercising before though)?
Trudeau updated Dr S plan is that right? What did he recommend that is different? I think I will go look it up since I am bored and trying to stay out of the kitchen while the baby naps. I have had 5 cups of tea today already! |

PS One poster here a long while ago said she was able to check out Trudeau's book on weight loss from her library. So if you don't want to buy it you can possibly borrow it! I bought it from a TJ Maxx store for about $2 or $3 a while ago. I would not have paid much more for that book. He includes too many things that I am unwilling to do and if I would follow everything in that book---I would be broke as well as not motivated to even begin P2 LOL

Thanks! I just took a few minutes and read a bit about Trudeau. Not much positive about him out there, as he is not a dr himself, and mainly seems to have added a cleanse phase before P2 - and other wise is just selling a book based on what Dr S already did! ... Yea, um, no thanks!

Berta--well that is great that you DON"t need it. LOL. Let nature take its course, that is the better way to deal with that anyway. You don't want to be dependent on anything in the future. I am feeling better. I don't have the fear of losing my voice all the time now. Just some of the time. I go back to the doctor on Monday and will ask her how I am doing. I see her for my thyroid checkup, but will discuss other things as well. I have not tried the mayo yet. We ate out for lunch--the place we went had grilled chicken tenders and grilled shrimp. Got the chicken and took home DH grilled shrimp. So I am set for dinner too! But will try the mayo soon. Your enthusiasm has me wanting to try it real soon. There are a few possibilities with it I had not even thought of. I am glad you brought it up! You have a great weekend too!

I picked up some of the Walden calorie free choc syrup and put it on some fresh strawberries. Oh my gosh, that is heavenly!!! So far sticking right on plan today. I'm actually not that hungry. I think it's more mental than anything else. And I looked at Harris Teeter for the miracle mayo and Walden caramel syrup. They had everything else but not those two.I may have to order those directly. I also got the bbq sauce and a few of the salad dressings. This will definitely make the plan easier.
