I am not so sure I agree with you on my PH2 flying byActually today is my 6th day.I began Loading on the 24th of April.

i have been wanting popcorn really bad DH & I use to eat that while watching movies at night.NOW He eats SF popcicles and I eat an apple

Berta, are you on Day11 of VLCD? I am too...I thought you were about a week behind me?

This is day 6 VLCD for me. I began on April 24th Loading but I lost on load days too

Berta, then you are on VLCD 6. In an earlier post you quoted someone and I thought you were saying you were on VLCD11. I thought that didn't sound quite right. Now I see you were quoting someone else. So sorry for the confusion. I do confusion really well though.

VLCD 6And no problem!!! I began loading on April 24th for 2 days brings me to April 26th.Today is May 1st so this is my 6th VLCD. Giving me a 10.4 loss!!

That is too funny My son just turned 16 in March. He has surpassed me in height when he was in 6th grade. I have to look up to him and I am in awe. I can hardly believe I have a 16 yr old, let alone a kid taller than me. Mind you I am a shortie and want all my kids taller than me, but still he is 6'1" already and gaining on his daddy every day. He is also driving why do they have to grow up?

I am all about doing this on the cheap I hope what I posted was clear. In reading what you quoted I don't know What I was saying is you can dose in the morning and skip the other 2 doses of the day. Or you can skip the first 2 doses and have the 3rd. Or the other option is to skip an entire day. I love doing one of those options because how freeing it is to NOT have to worry about timing, when to brush teeth, when to drink/eat something. Love it Nice to take a break once in a while like that. Not about the eating part though. Still have to follow the plan

Well I am definetely EXTREMELY HAPPY
It would have taken me 3 months to loose that on any other plan I have been on.

Also I am not getting as hungry as before.Unless it is time to eat. It is teaching me also that I can live and be satisfied on lower portions.

Now I have to say when we go out this Sunday I do not know where we will go(as there is usually about five couples that go together)so I haven't a say in where we will go. It is up to the others.I can make suggestions but they haven't went where I want to go yetIf I can get grilled shrimp or steak that is what I will order and lettuce with nothing in it or on it .... and take my WF dressing with me!I will drink water with lemon as always. SO hopefully they will choose somewhere like that!

I am taking my mother in law out for mothers day and I won't be finished P2 yet so I am trying to think ahead as well. She will be here for 3 days and I really want to stay on track but I also don't want to explain to her about the diet. Thought I could make shish kabob and just have a few for me with just the meat and a side of veggies. I Do want to take her for lunch and the spa..not sure what I will do. I will be on VLCD 18 when we go to the spa. I guess I will just do my best when she is here and then do a longer round, maybe 30 days instead of 21?

Hey everyone,
You are all doing great! Congrats on all of your losses!

I did get the Intermountain pellets today. DH calls them my rabbit pellets. LOL! So today and tomorrow are load days. And I'll start VLCD on Thursday. It's been very encouraging reading all of your posts. Can't wait to start posting losses myself!

Ain't that the truth! This round I have been doing one day with big losses (2-3.5 lbs) followed by 2 days of 0.4 to 1.2 lb gains...The other rounds, it was one day down 1-3 lbs , next day up 0.4 lbs...

Whatever you decide just rememeber you know how to take it back off.And this isn't a race So enjoy your life but be as on plan as possible

You are right.BUT you are behind I lost 2.4 lbs today making that as total of 10.4 in six days. AFTER loading days

yep thats what I am thinking, I will do the best I can, hopefully by then she will see that I have lost noticeable weight and I will just say hey I changed my eating and I don't want to blow it.

Berta--You asked how long of a round you could do. While Dr Simeon's suggests no longer than 40 days or 34 lbs (or thereabouts on the lbs) whichever comes first, there are others who have gone longer. Here is a thread about it:

I have pretty much decided to just do the 40 days. Then go to PH3 for the 21days then back to PH2. Can we do that? Or do we have to go on to PH4?

Hi Ladies -

I've been doing Atkins since last June and have lost 50lbs but despite the fact that I have been eating on plan and not sneaking any carbs I've hit a stall. I've been bouncing around the same weight for the past 2 months but can't seem to get the scale to any virgin weight loss territory. Apparently my body has decided that losing 50lbs is all it's willing to do. I'm still quite a bit away from my goal weight so I am not happy about the stall. I've been at induction level carbs and short of giving up the few veggies I do eat I don't know what else I could be doing to get the scale moving again. I've also tried a meat fast and an egg fast and even increasing my exercise level but those measures didn't help move the scale either.

I had looked into hcg in the past but decided that I was happy with the pace I was losing at on Atkins so I just stuck with it and decided to keep the hcg option in my back pocket as a back-up if necessary. I think it's time for me to switch over to hcg. I'm starting my 2 load days tomorrow. The hcg thing seems like it requires a lot of will power and discipline so I hope that I'm up to the task.

I'll be posting my progress daily in the weekly threads with you all but I just wanted to come in and introduce myself first before I start. Here's to hoping that this protocol will work and I'll be able to see virgin weight loss on the scale....

Berta, if you are going to follow protocol, you must also do 21 days of P4 before starting your second round. Then re-load and go to P2 of round 2.

do you have a copy of Pounds and Inches? I know that it's dry reading, but you really should try to read through the whole thing. You take a longer break between each P2 if you follow strict protocol.

Yes I read it. But I read somewhere you didn't have to do that

For the 1st round it is always best to follow the protocol to have the best success but in the end it is your decision.

Welcome to HCG.

I just started too. Today is my second load day. What are you taking for HCG? I'm doing the Intermountain HCG Pellets. The first drops I bought were from GNC and ended up having no HCG in them. That was my fault. I didn't research enough before I bought them.

I actually got to my first VLCD (very low calorie day), and it was awful! LOL! With no actual HCG in my system to help with the hunger, I was starving, lethargic, and weak all day. So I stopped the drops and waited until my pellets came in and started over. Judging from others' experience, it should be much better.

I bet you will have some great success!

VLCD 16 for me, down 0.4 pounds this morning. Losses are slowing down, but still losing. As of today, I have lost 15 pounds this round, so I'm very pleased. I was hoping for 20 pounds this short round, but I'll probably come up a little short of that. Oh well, I'm pleased anyway.

Good luck to those of you that are just loading and getting started, if you follow Dr S's protocol, you will be successful. Hope the rest of you see nice losses this morning

VLCD 16 for me, down 0.4 pounds this morning. Losses are slowing down, but still losing. As of today, I have lost 15 pounds this round, so I'm very pleased. I was hoping for 20 pounds this short round, but I'll probably come up a little short of that. Oh well, I'm pleased anyway.

Good luck to those of you that are just loading and getting started, if you follow Dr S's protocol, you will be successful. Hope the rest of you see nice losses this morning

yayyyyyyyyyyyy big release for me today..147.4 so down -1.6 going to do food prep today..got some beauty steak tenderloin, cost a fortune but it helps when you are only eating 3.5 oz Hope you all have great losses, heading out for a walk. Have a great day.

My 2nd week of VLCD is going slowly but in the right direction -1.0lb so far. Hoping to somehow catch up within the next days left in the week.

Keep up the great work ladies! I saw some great results posted --that's encouraging to newbies and slow losers

do you have a copy of Pounds and Inches? I know that it's dry reading, but you really should try to read through the whole thing. You take a longer break between each P2 if you follow strict protocol.
Yup! That is what I suggest. I did that for my first 3 rounds and I got to goal that way. If I had paid attention to those rules, I would still be there today Please follow the rules, as they are there to make sure you KEEP the weight off, not just take it off.
