I just took my "Before" pictures and I am so upset and embarassed

I'm on day 2 of my VLCD so I'm a bit late taking my "Before" pictures. I asked my husband to take them for me, no need to pretend to try and hide all the fat anymore. I wore athletic shorts (shorts do not flatter my giant thighs and butt) and a tight cami because I wanted it all to show. No use trying to trick myself anymore into thinking I look "fine".

I usually never allow full body pictures of myself and I wear things that hide my fat as much as possible. OMG, looking at those before pictures I about died. I didn't even recognize the body I was looking at. That was NOT what I thought I looked like....but the picture doesn't lie. It was truely a giant shock and quite the ding in my vanity! I am so embarrased I let myself get to this point. What was I thinking?! I was truely in some serious denial.

I have never been more motivated to lose weight. Those pictures are by far the most motivational thing I have ever encountered. I vow to never ever never ever EVER EVER look like that again!

I know the feeling. My before shots were shocking to me also. Yikes! But I've lost almost 60 lbs now...shots are much better even though I have a little more to go.

You can do this!!

Trust me....you will love having these pictures as a "before" when you are the "after"!!! And now you have motivated yourself to stay with the plan. You are not even going to understand the reshaping that takes place without having these pictures. Good on ya for doing so!! People have kicked themselves for not having those befores.

I can honestly say that I had a breakdown when I had to buy a size 24 dress after my son was born (he is 11). Not that I DID anything about it but I weighed 245 pounds when I left the hospital. I may have taken the long road to get here but I weighed in at 194 this morning & I'm about a size 16. Weighing less than 200 pounds was a foreign concept to me.

Keep posting, we all need to lean on each other!

I feel like you. I just sat and watched my weight climb. I knew what I HAD to do, just didn't do it. Congrats on being below 200 What a milestone that is!!!

Hey I thought I looked "fine" at my highest weight (add about 130 or so lbs to your starting weight...not sure...stopped weighing) ...it is VERY motivating. This works...just work the plan~!~

Benny I want to give you a gigiantic hug. One of our enemies is "denial" that's how we blind ourselves to the truth and allow ourselves to get carried away into fantasy land.
I am sooooooooooo with you as far as how I look. I destroyed my body with my years of weight gain. But stop beating yourself up cause YOU'RE IN THE RIGHT PLACE AT THE RIGHT TIME. WE WILL CHEER YOU ON!
