So, another day of very little progress...hmm, need to check in with myself and see where to go from here.

ETA: So, here's another interesting phenomenon: I have only had a handful of hot flashes since starting this round, that's after having a flash almost EVERY HOUR, day and night, before!! What do you all think of that? I've also had some very cold times...is it just a matter of very low calories, or is something else going on here. Not that I'm complaining...

DP, congrats on the pregnancy, that was sure quick and easy! Take care of yourself!!
Mini, good to see you back, and hope your inflammation gets better quickly.
Cheryl, wowsa, busy girl you are!! Getting close to moving date yes?
Lynne.. I do Chalene Extreme too. I do usually on the circuits too, (but full weights) and then do Chalene Turbo Fire for cardio... Love Chalene!!!

I am working on just eating normally and exercising and building lean muscles with the burn the fat, feed the muscle, which is just healthy eating and hard exercise. Have not binged in over a month now... so good stuff there. Not losing much, but have increased my lean body mass, and lost a little fat, but still about the same number on the scale, down about 6 inches too, so something has to be happening right. Trying to learn patience as doing HCG and being impatient did not over and over work for me!! But I still come read about you all and glad you are doing well!!

I'm lousy at trying to copy and paste from the previous thread, so consider yourselves responded to!

Lynne -- I feel for you about no/ slow losses. I lost great on week one, then only 3 lbs. total the last three weeks! Wasn't worth it as far a I was concerned. I think I would have been better of to quit at the 23 day mark rather than going the extra week hoping the losses would pick up.

Well, under the heading of "it's a woman's perogative to change her mind" I ended up injecting and loading yesterday and today. Did a good load yesterday but am having trouble eating enough today. Wished I had had that problem whilst on P3! I decided I didn't want to wait a week, and I'll just deal the best I can with the upcoming church dinners.

I'll be doing something a bit closer to Simeons than last time but with a protein shake in two half servings. A person I know from another health group is going to a HCG clinic and their diet requires MCT oil and protein shakes in addition to the standard two meals. Also allows mixing of veggies. I think its very similar to what PrivateDiva was doing food-wise except for the addition of protein shakes and MCT. Although I'm not sure I'll do the MCT -- will evaluate as I go. I just hope I end up with better losses than the last round.

Have a great day, everyone!

Well, I've decided that Thursday will be my last pellet day, with Friday and Saturday as dose-free 500 cal. Days then p3 Sunday through Sunday, starting pellets again Saturday. So, a week of maintenance/re-feeding. I just feel as if the releasing has slowed down to a point where I need a break. I was thinking of trying to muscle through another week or so, but I'm feeling depleted. Thoughts?

Hello -- quickie from busy land --

Nixed the full fast for the day -- too dragged out -- but doing a light fat fast and cleanse, and hoping this works. I am getting better, but too slowly for my impatient self.

Wishing you all a good day!

Sounds like a good plan, even perhaps taking 2 weeks if you think you can do a clean P3 -- DO NOT under any circumstances follow my example.

I'm having a devil of a time loading today. I really don't remember the homeopathic drops being this appetite suppressing. Maybe when I hit P3, I should stay on half dose injections to cut the appetite! That's what did me in this time.

I don't want to take a 2 week break, because I still have my deadline of 629!! Actually, I want to be in P3 again by about 6/22-23, since we're taking a few days off on vacay 6/25-28. So, 140 by 6/22!!!

Maybe the decrease in hormonal nonsense is related to taking this hormone (or derivative of one) that makes the body think it is pregnant. Old ladies don't get pregnant so it must confuse the body. ???? At any rate, I'm glad you are feeling better!

You sound like you're doing really well, Cathy. Finding balance and peace. WTG on that! Down 6 inches too? Something must be happening in your favor! KUTGW! Please stay with us. We like having you around. Being on hhcg/hcg is not a requirement, or I'd be so not welcome here anymore!

Precisely my point in my last post on the old thread. Let's go a month on each thread or at least get into the habit of starting the new one each Sunday eve, the way calendars are set up to start on Sunday! I posted a reply to the last three posts on the old thread, for anyone who is interested.

Well, if you decided to load now, more power to you! It will work out fine if you are motivated enough to power through those church festivities. God will strengthen you!

No clue what MCT oil is. Hope it works, if you try it!

Sorry you are feeling depleted. But one week of maintenance and refeeding is not a plan that I'm familiar with. Why don't you just do a refeed (all out pig out) for two days and then get back in the saddle. There's no point in trying to maintain and refeed in a one week period of time. Do one or the other. If you're feeling depleted, eat. JMHO. Also, you know how I feel about the prefab foods. I think they are to blame for slow losses. (Don't shoot the messenger!)

So you are nixing the one week maintenance/refeed? I'm confused!

Please, girls. If you want to hear about me, go to my journal for today and READ. Too much to repost everywhere. Big day!

Catching up here and on the last thread -

Cheryl, wow! I guess you HAVE been busy! I think you're making smart decisions with your doggy and getting movers. And whoo-hoo on your w/d fitting in the laundry space pretty well after all! So Thursday is the day for movers with the heavy stuff, hey?

Mini, you too are so busy I'm surprised you have time to think about a diet!

DP, hugs on the early pregnancy difficulties! It's SO worth it though, isn't it!

bb, hang in there with the loading! What did you mean when you told lynne not to follow your example?

lynne, I'm interested to hear what your thinking is on the maintenance/refeed for only one week thing. I stopped taking the hhcg Sunday. I had been hungry and cheating a bit for awhile and then my BIL came up with his little son and he's a marvelous cook so I figured this was a time for a break. We have several birthdays and other family special days for the next few weeks, so I figure sensible eating and do basically DD whenever I can. I'm still only up one pound and that's in spite of a couple of days of small cheats before I finally went off the hhcg. This is the first time I've done this WOE so I'm taking in everybody's experience and advice.

Good Tuesday, everyone!

Good morning, everyone!!

This bouncing around has my head spinning, especially since I was true to my plan yesterday!! Grrrrr!

Plum, I'm just making this up as I go along. My thinking is this, rather than do a re-feed meal or day that might or might not leave me feeling truly replenished, and would surely give me a few pounds to have to get off again, I thought a week of clean, P3 eating w/out pellets might be better. I don't want to gain!! Also, I don't feel that I have time to do more than a week, given my current weight and goal/goal date. I'm very wary of overeating with hhcg in my system! I think that got me into a lot of real trouble a couple of months ago.

I don't have any events or things that are happening next week, I just have a *feeling* that this might be a good idea. I will be weighing/measuring/logging food like a maniac, because I want to really see what my body is up to!!

In true rogue fashion, I'm flying by the seat of my pants!! You will all get the blow-by-blow, for sure!!

And, speaking of pants, I wore some work pants in complete comfort yesterday! These pants have been worn at higher weights, but with much pinching and muffin top. Yesterday they were perfect!!

So, I have 5 more 500 cal days...I'm sure I can eek into the 150's!!

high five for work pants looseness, lynne! I'm wearing a pair that I can pull off without undoing, and I used to not even be able to do them up. my dumb brain is all "THEY STRETCHED OUT", but whatever...I'll take it.

quick post here...I was kissing the underside of 200 yesterday, yagh. still in my window. I'm really having a rough time this P3. I'm stress eating. I've been doing some really dumb self-sabotaging things at work lately, so now I have THAT on my plate o' stress. I'm a creative minded person who is working in administrative positions. not an easy match. sigh.

whine whine whine, eh? hope you're all having a fabulous tuesday!

I think we've all whined at one time or another!

I want you add that I am NOT whining or complaining about feeling sick. It is totally 100% worth it

I am complaining about the bloated mess I am right now though. Lol. I've been eating a lot of carbs because it's all I can stomach. I'm going to try to shift gears and add in more protein tomorrow. And Im picking up better carbs like brown rice and sweet potato and I have oats I'll try for breakfast. It's got to be better than garlic bread and goldfish cracker

This is my first VLC day of this round. Ended up losing two pounds over the last two days of loading as I concentrated on fats instead of carbs. So that puts me going into this round only 2 lbs. over the end of the last round -- in the window! Barely, but still there. I'm not hungry and I hope that continues during this round as it did the last one.

Sorry to hear of your discomfort, just keep telling yourself, "This is what I wanted and it will be worth it... This is what I wanted ...." Well, you get my drift. And it will be worth it!

I was a miserable failure at P3 -- just couldn't stop eating. Didn't want her to do the same.

Flying by the seat of your (better fitting and comfortable) pants is often the way to go. You are committed -- you have a goal -- you will do fine.

Sorry to hear you are struggling. Many of us do on P3 even without the added stress you mention. I think of P3 as a test to see how we can do for the rest of our lives. And some of us have to take the test numerous times to pass it. But with perseverance, we'll finally get there. I have never been able to grasp algebra but had to pass it in college. It took me three tries but I finally got through. I would take the class, drop out on the last day I could without a grade, and with the instructor's permission continue going to class. Finally the third semester of doing this, the instructor told me not to drop -- he was certain I'd make it that year. And I did! So no matter how many times I "fail", I remember that lesson.

Cheryl -- I read the last couple of entries in your journal. Wow, you have a lot ahead of you this week. Please be good to yourself both physically and mentally.

Have a great rest of the day, folks. I may be AWOL the next couple of days but will check in when I can.

First time you've done what way of eating? You mentioned doing "basically a DD" so I didn't know if you meant JUDDD or Hcg.

I had the movers scheduled for Thursday but after today, I totally panicked and was able to move the movers to May 2nd. I have a full week now to get my #%(! together. Today was a true eye-opener. I had no idea just how much junk was going to be going with me. I thought it would be a relatively easy move. Oh, how wrong I was! But I got a lot done today and woke up from my state of unawareness. Everyday from here on out (literally "out") will be like today was. Full and productive.

Lynne, to you! It's frustrating when the losses don't come the way we expected them to. As far as the refeed and one week thing, I'd do a full-on, one or two day eating fest of all my favorite foods and drink, keep taking the hhcg and then dive back into P2. I always did a fast on the day after a refeed and it helped me get moving again.

That's wonderful about those work pants! What a feeling!

I've been doing some really dumb self-sabotaging things at work lately, so now I have THAT on my plate o' stress. I'm a creative minded person who is working in administrative positions. not an easy match. sigh.

whine whine whine, eh? hope you're all having a fabulous tuesday!
I think a creative mind can be creative enough to even find ways to be creative in unstimulating jobs. Let that be your focus! You'll come up with some good stuff, I'm sure.

They didn't stretch out! You washed 'em, right? I'm sorry P3 is hard right now. How are you "self-sabotaging"? I want details.

How do you feel about some lightly scrambled eggs? I think scrambled eggs are nice on a delicate tummy and eggs are so great and loaded with protein. I hope you feel better fast! Grow, little baby! Grow!

Talk about an under-statement!

Girls, I'm tired. I am so happy that I pushed back the movers for a full week and have the time and flexibility to do that. Now I have to really work hard, every day. I'll go buy more boxes and tape tomorrow and run some things over to the house. I will unpack and stock up closets and cabinets and little by little, it won't seem so overwhelming. My sister said she'll come over with her hubby's truck on Thursday morning so we can get a lot moved that day. If she's up for it, I'll take her on a few trips back and forth with me! Can't wait for her to see the new place. I know she'll love it, too.

Night, girls. I'm beat!

Cheryl -- I read the last couple of entries in your journal. Wow, you have a lot ahead of you this week. Please be good to yourself both physically and mentally.

Have a great rest of the day, folks. I may be AWOL the next couple of days but will check in when I can.
I'm sorry! I forgot about your post. I multiquoted the others with the intention of coming back to yours cause it looked long.

! That's amazing, to lose during a load. Never happened to me but I've never done a LC load. WTG!!

Actually Cheryl, I haven't done either hhcg or JUDDD before. I thought I would try a P3 that is JUDDDish as far as figuring calories goes.

Good luck with all your work.

Woe! So you are a LC'er? Atkins-esqe? Sounds like you like to color outside the lines. We like that around here! Welcome!

Girls, I'm pooped and this is my final post for the night. Wine and Restoril are kicking in, along with the relief of having "time on my side." Ahhhhh! Time to move in at my own pace! Nothing could be finer. Now if I only had my own truck! I'll do my best and just chip away. Getting cupboards and closets filled up will make me quite happy. And as those all fill to the brim, there's the lovely attic that's all MINE! Hehehehehe.

Nite, darlings. I'm signing off for today. Will be back (God willing) tomorrow after another eventful day of packing. Wish me luck and strength.

Still a disappointing week overall weigh-in wise. WHEN will I break into the 150's??? I'm still on track to have tomorrow be my last dosing day for a week. Now I'm wishing I did this break already, after 21 days as I had originally thought. Got greedy, thought I could eek out a few more pounds. Oh well. Not too hungry this morning, so at least there's that.

Cheryl, so glad the new place is shaping up to be even better than you thought! Yay for the w/d fitting!!

I want to share a recipe I read on another board! Does anyone enjoy spaghetti squash? You can put a whole squash in a crock pot - no water or anything, don't poke w/fork - for high for 1 hour, then turn to low for 2 hours, then take out and cool on the counter and it will be perfect! I haven't tried this yet, but I'm looking forward to it as I LOVE ss!! I think it's ok for P3, anyone know?

I haven't had much personal experience with SS but that is a darn easy recipe. And I'm all about "easy." Thanks for sharing it! It's on my list of things to try. I think it's fine for P3. Don't think it's a starchy squash like acorn or butternut. Could be wrong, though!

Hang in there, cutie. And thank you for your enthusiasm about my w/d fitting! Pretty dog-gone relieved, after she sold the ones I thought were already mine to use.

As for me, yet another nightmarish day on the computer, trying to rid it of its demons. I deleted a bunch of files and nothing I do helps. Maybe it's just time to keep the best and ash-can the rest. I don't need this right now. I need to GOOGLE! I need my friends!

Took dog to the boarders tonight. She was fine yesterday but a blithering, quivering mess today. She's in a safe, secure place now for the next 10 days and I'm going to be able to completely focus on the tasks at hand. I can take down the back yard fence and not worry that she will escape!

Diet? Please! I don't even know what I weigh right now but I'm figuring right around the low 80's. No, not happy about it but not able to do anything about it at the moment. Just trying to get through this time in my life. Once I'm moved in, I'll have almost 2 full months before my nephew's wedding at the end of June. I will try to get to new territory by then.

Hugs, love, peace, yada yada to all tonight! And tranquility to all puppies, everywhere this evening.

WOE: Lowish carb (formerly on Protein Power)
Good morning, all. Doing fine on this round of P2 -- 1.5 losses since starting VLC. Not a sudden whoosh like usual, but since I didn't gain whilst loading, I figured these losses are just fine. Plus although Tuesday was supposed to be the first VLC day, I finished up some pork ribs and a piece of Lynn's chocolate, so the day was rather high fat-wise. Am now on the straight an narrow.

Spaghetti squash is lower carb than other winter squashes and would be perfect for P3. I actually ate it twice on P2 the last round as I had one left that was getting soft. Being an instant gratification kind of person, I nuke mine. Just halve it, remove seeds and place cut-down on a plate with 1 Tbs. water surrounding it. Nuke for about 5 mins then let stand for 10 to finish cooking. Quick and easy.

Cheryl, I know moving is a real pain, but just think of the rewards of being in your new digs. Then you can get back to the hCG.

Have a great day everyone.

BB, sounds like your round is off to a great start! I am at least at a new low...by .2 lb. I'm glad today is my last dosing day, but I'm worried about hunger tomorrow and Saturday. Hoping for the best!! I'm planning on being conservative on sunday. Maybe 1,000 cals.

Such a quiet thread these days!!

I like the nuke method you mentioned. I'm an "instant grat" girl, too. Will try both soon and see which I like more! Clearly I need to try this little gourd and see if we are a good match.

I will love my new place. It will be comfy and bright and have all of my favorite things in it. And I will have the great, big, level yard to enjoy, too. The street is much busier than the one I'm currently on so I'll have to put TV's and fans on so I can block out the noise until I can adjust to it. I'm used to a very quiet environment.

I think you're right. I don't know if I'll do hhcg when I'm settled-in over there, but I'll have two months before my nephew's wedding so I'll be motivated to do SOMETHING, which is much better than nothing.

Since you didn't gain during the load (didn't you lose?) you won't see those amazing water whooshes that the rest of us have at first. Keep your chin up. You'll do great this round.

New Low!! What I wouldn't do to have a new low, or even be within 5 lbs of my lowest! You gotta want it in order to make it happen.

I hope your week of being off-plan does what you hope it will for you. Enjoy it for what it is!

Getting a lot done around here today. Will be hitting it again shortly. Just wanted to get caught up here with my friends.

hi! i am so curious to see what will happen with your plan. i am kinda thinking of doing the same thing...do P3 for a week, then 1 load day (mothers day) and back to P2. i REALLY do not want to gain anything...my biggest fear is having wasted a week to get the load weight off. so confused!! i just want to do the right thing! Are you skipping the load days altogether?

Cheryl, I have a plan for sure!! I'm going to do P3 for a week, then back to P2. I'm hoping to enjoy in, but even more, I hope it gets the losses moving again!!

Canadiandina, I'm really hoping that it's not a wasted week, too! I don't know about loading, exactly, but by the time I get to the end of the week I hope to have my calories up to a full maintenance level, around 2,000 calories.
