Waiting patiently to see your results Berta, hope you were able to get to sleep last night without too much hunger.

I wanted to ask, can we have mushrooms as our vegetable on P2?
Kim
Good morning,Sorry nothing on PH2 but a Tomato, spinach, cabbage, asparagus, celery and lettuce. Wish green beans were on that list then I would be better
Congratulations on your loss

I ended up just going to bed last night. It seems when I sit in front of that TV my mind thinks of FOOD constantly.(got in the habit of eating at night while watching TV)Have to break that habit for sure

I was also down 1.4.So for me.... 4.2lbs in four days that includes my 2 load days as I lost on them also We are ROCKIN

At least I didn't get sick yesterday I felt that was because of all the fat.
So now off with it

P2 - Easy Hearty Flavor Chili
Easy Hearty Flavored Chili
100g 95%lean ground beef
160g Hunts Fire Roasted Tomatoes w/ Garlic, or home roasted tomatoes
1/2t chili powder
1/2 t onion powder
1/2 t garlic powder
1/2 t Hershey dark Cocoa powder ( don't leave out, it is crucial)
pinch of salt, and black pepper to taste, and a shake of cayenne for punch!

Add raw beef, onion pwder, garlic pwder, S&P, and cocoa powder to sauce pan and cook till it crumbles easily. I added the juice from the tomatos to help start the heat transfer. Stir in tomatoes and let simmer 5 minutes till hot. Serve with grissini stick crumbled on top or take chomping bites with each spoonful (warning grissini get soggy really quickly)

ETA: the beef. grissini and Tomatoes add 190.8 cal, the garlic and onion powder(1g carb per 1/4 tsp) add 16cal, and cocoa powder add 2 cal(12.5cal/T). On the spices, I went according to the carb, protein and fat numbers not the reported cal. according to that it's 208.8 cal.

He says my body is responding to the 80 pounds of weight loss beautifully. Next time I see him I want to ask if he sees folks using hcg have better cholesterol labs than others over all of if I'm just a lucky one. My progesterone is still way low, so I'm having to add a bio-available progesterone. My Vitamin D & Iron are still way low. BUT almost everything else has gotten back to "normal" over these past couple rounds. Both Dr.'s think I'm at a really healthy place to stabilize. We hope that as my body further adjusts to this lower weight that my Blood pressure will stop bouncing around, it ranges from normal to just barely high 140/80's is the highest I get now... when I started hcg at 235 pounds my normal BP was 210/110 and I was high cholesterol...high TSH, high T3 & reverse. So, I think I'm ready to be content here.... at 154 and move on. Hubby is at 184 and really happy there. So we will move into phase 3 and plan to do it JUDDD style. I'm continuing with my exercise so if my body drops into the 140's I'd be thrilled... but if not, when factoring in my bone structure (large) and height 5'6" I'm at a normal BMI..... BARELY... but that is ok... I think I'm finally ready to be content here... at least for a while. So, I didn't make much progress this round with the cheats and exercise... but I'm back at a "normal" place and hope to settle here. I've actually ranged between 154 & 156 for the past 2 weeks so think my body really likes it here! I'm sure I could have dropped lower had I not cheated. I believe my exercise routine helped to make this round a struggle b/c it increased my appetite. BUT I have lost inches and blubber and feel really good about that. So... transitioning into phase 3... bacon & eggs here I come!! We just got 5 pigs, raised on our farm with organic veggies, organic wheat, organic raw skim milk, barley & field peas - corn & soy free, back from the butcher.... hubby and I are SO excited about diving into the bacon, sausage, pork roast... chops... etc!
That is the kind of report you want to hear from you Dr!!! I am so happy for you

Not that I want to cheat but I was wondering since we are allowed 2egg whites and one egg once in awhile do you suppose we could have Egg Beaters?

They have one now called Florentine which is spinach.
And they are egg whites.Just need some HONEST opinions. My favorite is South Western but those would be out because of the peppers in them.

But I bet if we could eat them you could add chili powder to the original ones?
I realize they would be something not ot eat every day.

Only 5 more days till eggs, chicken thighs and CHEESE!

Repeating yesterday’s menu actually worked, and I officially am in Virgin Fat Territory! The lowest I got to in WW was 168, and I started gaining the very next day. I never maintained it. By the first week in WW I gained 4 pounds. I never want to do that again! I am so happy learning how to maintain. After this round, because I’m on Rx, I have to wait 12 weeks. That is going to teach me so much about maintenance.

I’m beyond excited, I’m actually in shock.
CONGRATULATIONS! As for chicken I am a breast, wing & leg lady(NO THIGHS)

Dinner around 5ish pm: Fish/lettuce/6 strawberries+truvia to sweeten

Plenty of water throughout the day
I make my own salad dressing with red wine vinegar and spices.

If you want to have a veggies in between meals, then it would be best to just break up your meals so that you are eating something all day long. You don't have to have all 4 items you are allowed at one sitting. Many eat fruit for breakfast, protein, veggie and Melba for lunch and fruit with a melba for snack and then have the protein and veggie at dinner. You can break it up how you want, as long as you follow the rules of the plan. I now of several who have broth in between to curb hunger. I always had my broth with my meals though--like in the french onion soup. I drank tea and coffee in between eating for curbing the appetite.

Thank you for asking, I am better. And continuing to feel better. I am done working for the rest of the weekend I am happy to have time to rest now. Remember how I told you that it was so weird how the hcg makes you want to NOT eat on the load days, but very hungry once starting the VLCDs. I warned you Your body will behave shortly, once it realizes what your plan of attack is just give it time.

I do eggs in P2. I love them I fry them with tomatoes and they are so yummy I have not used eggbeaters though. If you read the ingredient list you should see if you can have them or not. I don't do them because of the 1 whole egg plus 3 egg whites thing. If I have to add an egg, why not have real? I know, it is easier and more convenient to have the ones in the carton. Less waste too! I end up throwing away the yolks because I forget they are in the fridge and they go bad so quick. I lose well with eggs and cottage cheese and like to include them in my P2s. But that is me.

I found the answer to my last question re: menstruation. If I don't stop 3 days before, I need to continue dosing for 3 more VLCD days, followed by 3 more VLCD days with no HCG.

So now off with it
Yay Berta we are rocking it...I wanted to ask, sometimes I am up at 5 AM just because I cannot sleep so I just surf around on the computer, can I have a coffee without taking my drops and then my drops around 8AM? I kinda dont want to take my drops so early in the morning in case I get really hungry before lunch. What do you think?

Put in frying pan!!! I scramble them. I have to put them in with water though. And they do stick to that pan too. So I have to soak the pan right after it gets off the heat.

I dose at 5AM so I can make sure to get it in with absolutely no food Then do my coffee at 6:15 AM. But you can do coffee at 5AM and then dose at 8. No biggie! Only thing you cannot do, is dose right before drinking

I don't remember... but I know you are right.I have been all over this HHCG thread asking questions. But I am staying only on here from now on .To many mixed messages!I started to put some spinach in my lettuce today and that still small voice said you can't mix veggies yet! Whew (so glad) I put the spinach back.

I am afraid no more than we eat if I split it up I would really be hungry!I can handle it. It will pass soon!
I CAN SEE THIS WILL BE TRIAL AND ERROR. I made some dressing from water vinegar and sweetner and spices pretty good! And definetely better than nothing.I have Waldens Farms but waiting to use that for fear it might hurt?
AND YES it is WEIRD

Crystal LIGHT PEACH TEA OK?

Kim
You can drink your coffee before your drops but you have to wait at east 20min after drinking it and 20 min before eating or drinking again.

I take mine as soon as I get up and wait 20 min. Then I make coffee or tea and take my meds as I have to wait 30 before I can eat after taking my meds. It's now 2:21 in the afternoon and I haven't eaten yet

Don't mean to confuse, but yes it is best to rely on one source of information. That is why it is suggested to follow Dr Simeon's Pounds and Inches to the letter. When asked a question I try to advise within his guidelines. I know life stuff happens, hell I have gained my weight back post hcg the reason I am STILL on here , but the BEST advice is from the creator of this plan himself!! Sometimes I make my dressing mixing yellow mustard with Walden Farms pancake syrup. That is tasty. Kind of a honey mustard flavor so it is great with chicken as well! As for Crystal Light, it really is up to you We cannot tell you yes or no. I have had it before when I lowcarbed but have phased it out of my diet. No reason or rhyme for it, just stopped buying it. But if you have it already and want to use it go ahead. If you feel you are stalled in some way, then you should go back to cutting it out. It is trial and error.

Awesome numbers Jeanette, I bet you are so happy today!
Berta, I am glad you are not sick today. I hope the hunger suppression kicks in for you soon. Once it does, it is amazing.

I am down another pound today. Pretty cool.

CONGRATULATIONS And thank you for the enocuraging words.
I feel as if these hunger pangs will cease in a few days.It just surprised me because I read where so many others were never hungrySo I felt something was wrong.I was thinking since I lost both of my load days in the bathroom that was why I was hungry. But I won't die from hunger. And it has been a very long time since I have even been hungrySo in a way it a nice feeling.I always ate because it tasted good or was on the counter or in the fridge or in the cabinets or just becasue I wanted it.Never because I was hungry... becasue I was never hungry... because I ate all the time

Less waste too! I end up throwing away the yolks because I forget they are in the fridge and they go bad so quick. I lose well with eggs and cottage cheese and like to include them in my P2s. But that is me.
OHHH I am having an egg in the morning I use to have 2 eggs every mornig and 2 pc of bacon 1 slice 45 cal whole grain bread.Yes I know no bacon or bread .But that tomatoe sure sounds good.To bad we can't throw in a slice of cheese

I didn't thnk eggs were allowed unless you couldn't eat meat?? So happy to know This can we eat one every day and just once a day?

I love egg beaters no going to waste for me.What ingredients are we not allowed besides oil and sugar?

You can not drink or eat 20 min before taking HHCG or 20 min after taking it. So If you fix coffee just be sure to wait 20 min before HHCG.And don't eat for 20 min after taking it. Make sense?

You have to count the eggs as one of your proteins though. If you eat them at breakfast, then you cannot have protein at lunch.....unless you have only 1/2 a serving at breakfast and then your other 1/2 at lunch. Not really sure what you intend to do with your eggs You really need to cut out as many processed foods as possible.

Any processed foods or foods with starch should be out. I love egg drop soup! In the winter, it was a go-to warm up food for me. I loved it for lunch. Just heat up your chicken broth, add the scrambled eggs we are allowed and cook them. I would add cayenne pepper, 1 crushed garlic piece and a bit of onion powder. I also used this when I had a cold on P2. I love eggs on P2 and like I said, I lost well with them. So I didn't limit them as Dr S said we were to You will know if you can tolerate them or not.

That is fantastic!! I didn't realize you didn't eat breakfast Another non-breakfast eater here. I need to change that though. My doctor wants me to have even blood sugar and 3 years ago it was in the pre-diabetic range It is fine now though so she never labeled me as a pre-diabetic, even though she said she should have. Anyhoo, I am in the camp that thinks breakfast is important even though I hardly eat it. Just remember that Simeons' says it is 1 whole egg and 3 egg whites. Don't short yourself an egg white!!! And those eggs/tomato combo is divine One of my favorites!!! The egg drop soup another one. I am making myself hungry thinking about it.
