I'm baaaaaaack!!!

Had a great trip to Austin/ Bastrop/ Elgin. Met with good friends I don't see but twice a year. Behaved myself food-wise on Wednesday, but threw Thursday to the winds. Breakfast at my favourite Mexican resturant where their homemade tortillas are to die for (had budgeted one, but ended up eating two), lunch at Chili's where I didn't even try to limit myself, and supper was "nibbles and dribbles" at a friend's house where she had gone to the trouble of making sugar-free margaritas just for me. Three of those and the nibbles ended up doing me in. Then I pretty much behaved myself yesterday except for breakfast. I gained 3 lbs. overall, which I can probably get back off in the next couple of days.

I have a decision to make regarding going back on P2. I had planned on doing so today, but I have three church events the end of this week which will involve meals. So do I load today and tomorrow, or wait and load next Saturday and Sunday? After that I don't have any more trips or church events that involve eating until September. Right now I'm leaning towards trying to do a cleaner P3 week and start back into P2 next Saturday.

I haven't caught up on the posts since I've been gone but will do so later and respond more after I'm more settled. Have a great day, everyone.

Scale stayed the same today, not up or down and that's just fine. Back to basics with rogue atternatives!

Have a wonderful weekend! It's the most beautiful day here in Dallas! High will be 73. Another beautiful spring day!

Scale the same for me too, Sandy. It's OK, I was true to my plan yesterday, and will be today!!

Brigit, you didn't ask for advice, but I'll just throw my .02 in. I think it would be brilliant to load this weekend, since you have church events, why not enjoy them to the hilt and let them serve your bigger purpose?

Wishing everyone a beautiful day of growth and healing!!

No time for personals cause I'm running out the door. But I wanted to suggest that you do a CD (since you are in P3) and see if you can get into your 2-lb window and then load this weekend with those last church events. Sounds like a perfect plan to me!

Glad you all (y'all) had so much fun in TX. I love TX and all the food. I'll always be a Texan at heart.

One last personal! DP, that is so amazing! I hope you do get a little girl so she can be your "disney princess."

Gained back up 2 lbs!!!! Do you think it was A) the pork rinds, B) the starbucks (fat free sugar free), C the salsa, or all three. I was okay on calories so I dunno.

Bagging up clothes to give away that are too big . I'm afraid that is a big mistake, What will I wear if I get fat again??? !!!!! ????

Giving them away shows faith tht I will not regain, but really I have always regained in the past before HCG. Scared

Give those suckers away! And don't give it a second thought. You are in control of your destiny. Use your affirmations!

I don't know which of those things bungled with you but if they are the microwaved pork rinds (yum), they have msg and make me gain. The Starbucks drink might have been high in cals and chemicals. Who knows!?

I am done with the hot tub!!!! It was moved today by an entire crew of the guys friends and to my amazement, it all went well. It is at the neighbor's house now and we simply walked along behind the truck and trailer to its new home. I got to coach them on how it would be best to set the tub down on their platform, in relation to which panels need to be accessible and what can go close to a wall, where the steps need to go, etc. It's a good thing I went over to see how it all played out.

It was a job and a half and with all the work I had to do to make this happen, I'm satisfied with what I got for it. Any less and I'd have been very disgruntled.

And what a pleasant surprise to get it done today before the storm comes! We're supposed to get 3" of rain and wind between Sunday and Monday and he planned to move the tub tomorrow. It was a lot of work at very short notice but it's over now and I'm paid in full.

Tomorrow (weather permitting) I'll be driving over to my duplex to pick up my keys! I'm going to give her the money, too. She isn't expecting that but I have the cash (thank you LORD!) and what difference does a week make? I'll give it to her and it will be a done-deal. Then I can start moving in at my leisure, with boxes and things to set up the kitchen cupboards, closets and whatever I'll be putting into the bathroom and attic.

The carpet cleaners are still coming this week so I can't mess around with the carpeted rooms. Anything uncarpeted is fair game, though.

Sasseaux, how lovely that you can give away your bigger clothes! And I agree, do it. Just having them around can subconsciously sabotage you.

Cheryl, whoohoo on the tub project being complete! I don't think I realized it was going to a neighbor's house. And all paid for! I thought he was going to make payments on the 2nd half owed?

And whoohoo on paying your landlord and getting your keys! It's a big day for you!

Good morning fellow roguers. Had a fairly good day yesterday, but didn't do a clean correction (I fell into the chocolate covered almonds -- they are now living at the bottom of the chest freezer until the next round is completely over and I'm in P4). I'm going to do a protein shake/ GY CD today. With the three church meals coming up I've decided not to start P2 until next weekend, but will attempt to get back into my window before then, which means a 3-4 lb. loss. Have a feeling this week will be mainly CDs, but that's OK since Lynn's chocolate is part of my plan. Gotta have my chocolate!

Diva -- good to "see" you again and congrats on maintaining. When I get to P3 / P4 again, I might just look you up for tips. And that ballet costume is fantastic -- wonderful creativity.
Sasseaux -- Also congrats on maining your weight and great going on Sz 12 clothes. 10s are coming soon!
Wannabe -- Glad you got away with being so rogue. As someone else said, magnesium for the constipation. I take an additional 400 mg. capsule at night when I get blocked up and it works like a charm (that is in addition to my normal 300 mg. that is combined with the calcium tabs).
Mini- Hope the cleanse gets you where you want to be. The exhibit you've put together is very interesting. I loved your costume.
Disney -- Congrats on the soon to arrive Disney Princess or Prince. Take good care of yourself and don't be a stranger around here.
Lynne -- You are an inspriration in not caving in to the "hungries". I need to learn from you.
Cheryl -- glad the hot tub saga is over, and wonderful about getting the keys to your new abode. I'm sure getting settled in will be a real blessing to you.

Have a great day everyone.

Yay, it's Sunday!! It's a bit of a foggy morning here, but we're expecting a HOT day (80's where I am) and I'm glad I can wear a tank top! It's not my most perfect look, but it's a lot better than a few weeks ago.

Hard to believe, just a few short weeks ago I was over 175!! I can't thank you ladies enough!! It's so grounding to come here every morning, check in, log my weight and re-energize for each day.

We're seeing my in-laws today for lunch. I've decided to have the egg-white omelet with veggies. I've been feeling a tiny bit depleted, so we'll see if I can handle it. I hope it will help with my workouts as well. I didn't mention it on Friday, but that workout was really hard!! I felt weak, and my heart was really pounding!!

Wishing everyone a beautiful day!!

So, I had a thought a few days ago, and I just want to share.

We've all read about IF (intermittent fasting). I know on strict protocol, HCG is done with only 2 meals a day. So...does that qualify as a form of IF? Do you think that this has some bearing on the success of HCG? I have been eating at 6-7, 10, 2, 6 and 8. My first "meal" is coffee with cream. Then my mini-meals (meal replacements). I'm thinking of doubling them up to make bigger "meals", in preparation for P3 when I will actually eat regular meals. I'm just not willing to give up the coffee w/ cream. Does that mess up the IF thing? It's about 50 calories, all fat.

I'm going to go over to the IF thread and see if I can get some additional info. I'm just really intrigued by this! I know there are some real benefits to a smaller eating "window". I'm just curious as to how they will work along side our HCG.

I'd love to hear more thoughts about this!!

AMEN! He was going to pay me $1K this month and the rest next month but I guess the money became available and he just gave me the balance after the tub was moved to his concrete slab. I'm pleased. VERY pleased.

What is "Lynn's chocolate"? Is it a VCO concoction? I'm forgetting about things like that, that I've read and not retained. Thank you for the support and shared joy over my pending move! It means a lot.

I think your plan to get back inside your LDW is a good one. Do your best! Do you really think frozen chocolate covered almonds will be less appealing to you? I'd get those suckers out of the house, pronto.

Very good progress this round, Lynne! It is amazing how the little losses add up to big lbs lost when you look back. I like the way you place your daily weight in your siggy. I especially love the griping smilie when you went up.

What workout did you do? Sounds intense! WTG on doing it. I hope you have a beautiful day, too.

I think that's a lot of interspersed eating and drinking of calories to be considered IF. But if you think of the hours between your last meal and your morning meal or coffee with cream, that would be your IF period. Not too shabby!

And I agree. I think that is part of what makes hhcg work as well as it does. I used to drink my coffee black with EzSweetz and then not eat anything until around dinnertime, unless I got truly hungry. That was much more like IF with a 5-6 hour eating window.

Latest developments with my rental place: She sold the washer and dryer I had told her I wanted to leave and use. She sold them to a friend who wanted them for use in their "summer cottage." I asked her why she sold them and said that I thought I'd been clear about wanting them and this was her answer. Well, thank God I hadn't sold mine, which I had decided to go ahead and do. I just hope they fit in the same spaces that her older model washer/dryer fit into. Mine of big front loaders.

Still supposed to pick up the keys today. That will be nice cause then I can go over there anytime I want to, and do measuring and figuring and stuff.

Cheryl, that's a bit stinky that she sold the w/d when you had asked for them to stay. Yours sound much nicer, so I hope they fit. Would've been nice to have the money, though.

I do Chalean Extreme, but only the strength portions, M/W/F. It's about a 40 minute workout with weights. I've cut my weights down since the last time I was regularly exercising, about 6 months ago. But, they're still a bit heavier than "toning" level. I also add a few sets of crunches between weight sets, just to get it in. If I was doing her full program it would include 2 days with cardio workouts, and 1 intense abs workout.

Yep. Not cool at all. If she had asked me how I'd feel about that and told me of the situation with her friend, that would have been the honorable thing to do. I wouldn't have expected that from her, but you learn about people as you go. It is something I will use in future dealings. I'll get things in writing.

I'm happy for you that you are working out. Lots of folks find that they can't lose during P2 while exercising intensively. WTG! My hero!

That's what I would do!
It sounds like you had a wonderful trip and 3 pounds is nothing compared to all the yummy stuff you ate! It will probably come right off this week anyway.

Sue, in my experience I always baloon up from pork rinds. I guess its the sodium, or like Cheryl said, MSG? I would guess that's the culprit for the gain.

Good afternoon. Just relaxing a bit after a busy weekend. Took son mini golfing and to lunch yesterday, then me and Dh treated ourselves to a movie

I'm doing well but the morning sickness began yesterday. I'm managing to keep stuff down but I'm forcing it. Yuck!

Hope everyone is doing well. I'm going to weigh on Tuesday so I can start to track my gains

Lynn's chocolate predates the CO kind. Lynn (can't remember her last name) was a low carb diva in the early days of internet mailing groups in the late 90's. The recipe I follow is:

Lynn’s LC Chocolate Recipe

4 squares (1 oz each) unsweetened baking chocolate
1 pint of heavy cream
6 to 10 packets sweetener (don't use just Splenda as it makes chocolate bitter--I use Sweet One and a stevia blend)
1 stick (1/2 cup) butter
1/2 cup of nuts (almonds or pecans or walnuts) more if you prefer
2 teaspoons of vanilla extract

Using a double boiler, melt the chocolate and butter together (can be done very carefully in microwave in short bursts). Once they are melted, remove from heat and add the vanilla, sweetener, and slowly stir in the cream. When the cream is well blended and the mixture is sweet enough for my palate, add the nuts. Pour the chocolate on a foil-lined cookie sheet, spread out to the thickness of a candy bar, then freeze. When frozen, break or cut it into pieces that approximate the size of a candy bar, put it in a ziplock bag and store in the freezer.

-----
I make up a fourth recipe at a time using one square of chocolate but use 1/4 c. pecans when I use nuts. I count this amount as four servings since it is so rich. This is so much better tasting than the CO based ones. I do occasionally use 1/2 CO and 1/2 butter.

Another long afternoon and evening ahead of me, since I've eaten all I can have today. I went with salmon (5oz) with broccoli and sliced tomato/red onion. Tea to drink.

I hope the morning sickness doesn't last long. Did it with your son? Some people have such easy pregnancies and others suffer.

Thanks for that recipe! I copied and pasted it into an email to send to myself. Anything w/o CO is fine by me.

Yeah, I was miffed by the w/d thing but I went there today and got the key and we stood in the bathroom and I was showing her how the duel front-loading doors were going to be banging up against each other and how there will be little space for me to even stand between them. I will take measurements to be sure and if I'm right, I'll try to sell them and buy a regular old-style top loader w/d. I don't want to feel crowded.

Looks like more "marital time" coming up! Hope he's around.

So I went to the duplex in the rain around 4pm and I got the key. Paid the deposit and first month's rent and took notes on a pad. It's so funny how little I actually recall when I'm trying to "take it all in." My favorite color is green and I was thinking the bedroom was a nasty shade of purple and I had thoughts of painting it green. Then I started to feel overwhelmed and decided to re-evaluate that decision after seeing it again. It's a lovely purple! It will do just fine.

And the bathroom is a pleasant shade of green and so I will have a green room. ALSO, the carpetting in the main living areas are green! Not a bad shade of green, either. So I will have plenty of green to satisfy my soul.

Many of the curtains are lacey and lovely and will be kept right where they are. I'll change out the ones in the Den and maybe put up one to add privacy in the bathroom and the bay window.

I'm thinking of using the second bedroom's closet for a pantry! It's right off the kitchen and would make a great pantry. The duplex has way more storage than I have here. She told me where I could stack the firewood (for the outdoor fire pit I'm bringing) but she basically said anywhere I wanted to stack the wood would be fine. She wants to lay down four paver stones for me to set the firepit on, so no grass gets killed. I think that's a little funny since the pavers will also kill the grass! But she said it will be easier to mow around and that means less weed whacking. It's all good!

It's a relief to have the hot tub gone and to see things moving along. Little by little I'll be all situated over there and I'll look back and be amazed!

Sounds wonderful, Cheryl!! And, a pantry!! I dream of a pantry!! I have wire shelving in the kitchen.

And, unfortunately, Mr. Goddess is at work, so it's just me and a TIVO full of shows. I'm watching GCB right now.

It lasted my first trimester with my son Cheryl and it wasn't terrible. I could eat, it was just not appealing-as I feel now. I never actually got sick. I ate a lot of peanut butter on rye bread which helped. I've been eating pretzles today which seem ok. And lots of lemon water. I had a great pregnancy with my son. I'm hoping for the same since I'll be alone for most of it

Not sure what GCB is! Haven't had cable or satellite tv in over a year.

I have a pantry in the house I'm moving out of, that's why I want to create a pantry area over there. There isn't one there presently but there are a lot of closets and I figured I could take those closet organizer things and turn it into the pantry of my dreams. Will try to do just that!

Sorry it's just you and the TIVO. Be strong!

I hope it's an easy pregnancy, too. I guess you can honestly say that you are doing HCG now! The real thing, no less! PB on rye sounds like an odd combo to me. I prefer PB on white. Bread toasted, thinly spread PB and then drizzled with honey. YUM!

It will be interesting to see how differently you feel this pregnancy compared with the first one. Whether you carry up high or down low. I heard that carrying high is indicative of a boy (or is that the other way around?)

Whatever the child is, may it be healthy and strong!

I'm going to be hiring movers. I have two sisters who offered to help me with my move. We just got through helping one of them move last summer. Now everyone is worried that I'm going to ask them to move things that are too large or heavy for them. I don't have time for this. I'll just pay for it to be done and get 'er done. Hope I can find someone to do the move this Thursday or Friday cause I want to have the "open house" moving sale here (at my current address) this weekend. Then whatever doesn't sell, I'll put into consignment or something like that.

Oh, how I hate moving. Back to the sisters. One actually just said to me, "O, but I'm 60 & unable 2 do heavy furniture & appliances." The other sister said, "Unfortunately, that applies to me, too." She just spent weeks helping another guy move. I'm talking slaving to help this man, as if he was a family member. I told her that I wasn't going to ask her to do anymore than she just did for "Joe R." She came back with, "That would be boxes, a twin mattress with my Joe and a couple of end tables. The rest he paid someone to load the couch and desk." She loaded his POD. She took loads to the dump, to Goodwill, etc. She took home tons of heavy **** from his house to keep. Don't tell me you didn't bust your @$$ for that man! I'm not even going to go and argue. Just going to set up the movers and get busy doing this myself.

Off to bed! Need to learn to sleep earlier and wake earlier. Blessings to all this Sunday eve!

Cheryl , Doing great today! Overate as usual (typical for weekend) for some reason I didn't take any hcg all weekend, but back at it tomorrow - I'm soooo close! And I just went clothes shopping and bought tons of cute summer stuff, so I definitely have motivation to hit goal and stay there! Busy with school like always. I am going to be in chronic school mode until May 14. Then I'm only taking one class this summer because I need a 'break.' LOL!

Lynne, OMG I LOVE GCB!! So campy I just crack up. Cheryl, it's a show about Southern Christian socialites. Plus anything with Annie Potts has gotta be good.

So that's it. Busy Busy Busy this week. Hope you all had a nice weekend and here's to happy scale dances all week long!!!

Hi Girls!

DP-Congratulations!! So happy for you guys!! the queasiness is a good sign, healthy pregnancy. Hope it settles down and goes quickly and smoothly.

Glad you all seem to be doing well. I'm enjoying maintenance. And adding the running has been good. Feel good, and am adjusting to not trying to lose weight, just enjoy staying around here. It'll take time to really wrap my head around not trying to lose weight all the time. It'll stick eventually .

Keep up the good work ladies!!

Super quick check in over here -- late night, and I am finally going to bed.

I've gotten rid of a fair bit of this inflammation, and now I am going in for a few days of real fasting along with the cleanse and hcg -- my roomie and partner know I am doing it, so no stress on that end. I'll do it as long as I can stand it without getting weak.

I indulged in a bit of wine today, which is a rare treat, but my roommate had a bottle open -- I figure the next few days will more than make up for that. I probably would not have done it except that i knew I was going into a fast and that any damage done would be corrected quite soon.

I still feel more puffed up than is optimal, but I am feeling better by the day, and I think the cleanse/fast will do a lot to get me back to where I want to be.

Sorry I don't have the time or energy for personals tonight -- love to all!

Dang it! New thread got me again! I'm going to reply to these posts anyway. Let's reform our weekly new thread thing, shall we? Maybe make a pact to always change over on Sunday Eve or just let it be a monthly thread? PLEASE???? Let's give it some thought.

Julie, I forget how far you've come until I look at your stats again! WOW!! Your "WOE" says: LC and exercise (or something like that.) How did you really get it done? What percentage was Atkins, hhcg, etc? How long did it take you? No wonder you are having trouble wrapping your mind around not dieting! Once you get there it must be a whole different ballgame. May you find your rhythm and learn to love your running!

Wow! It was like 0530 EST when you posted this one! "Late night" indeed! Hope you enjoyed the wine. Sometimes it's just nice to "chill." Glad the inflammation is settling down and hope it continues. We don't want to see you suffering.
