Thanks for starting a new thread Dawn!

Wahoo!! Welcome Back Lily & Jennifer!! I envy the big losses you will experience this week!! Have a super first day!!

Jeanette... you'll be there SOOOO soon!! Have a super day!!

As for me... I measured this morning since I'm not weighing. It is the first time I've measured since the end of my last round and my inches are up a bit. BUT that is no great surprise since I gained 19 pounds with my phase 3 binging, exercise and loading. I know I'm back in the 150's as I was when I threw out the scale last week, but not sure exactly where. I do see my body shrinking and smoothing so that is encouraging!! I have two doctors appts next week one in the late afternoon on Tues (24th) and one in the morning on the 25th. It will be fun to see what I weigh with clothes on at those various times. I'm counting down the days to last dose.... funny how we seem to do that sooner and sooner as we do more rounds! I have 21 days minimum left... 24 days at the most, depending on TOM. At the latest I'll be on phase 3 by Mothers Day which is also my anniversary (17 years).

Cheers my friends.............here is to a GREAT week of reducing!!

VLCD 1 for me today. Loading was miserable, I guess I did way too much and gained 6 lbs. Glad to have that over with and now excited to see the rest of this weight come off.
Good to see some of you guys again from the P3/P4 thread and nice to meet those that I haven't had the pleasure to already meet.

Hi everyone!! I am loading today and tomorrow. Yesterday's bridesmaids dress shopping trip was the final push I needed to go back on P2. I will be doing a long 40 day round.

It was actually a great day and for ONCE I am not the heaviest bridesmaid. I know that sounds terrible, but it's such a relief. We got to pick what dress styles we liked, so I stayed away from strapless which I just wouldn't be comfortable in, but it is definitely sleeveless. So I have some work ahead of me.

Looking forward to hanging out with you girls here!!

Good morning ladies! Happy to hear about you all and looking forward for a brand new week. I am starting my P2 this Friday and I am very excited about that.

Tiffany, I may gain as much as you did in your loading days as I am soo looking forward to eating some good pastries during the 2 days window
Some lucky people lose even during the loading days!! I will see how mine goes this time around.

P3 has been ok in most part -I went over my LDW only once. I mostly stayed above my LDW but still within those 2lbs mark. I would have loved to stay within the 2lbs under my LDW but I am still thankful for what I got as long as I don't pass the 2lbs window.

I ordered my pallets from Netrition last Thursday -I am still waiting for the shipping confirmation. The last email I received from them said that my order is being processed.

Those that started P2 --can you mention what method your will be using? I think it would be fun to see the varieties...

I will be using pallets (maybe alternate with drops depending on how I do on pallets as this will be my 1st time using them).

Have a good day/week ladies!

My stats so far...

I am on D28 of R1P2. I have lost 20+ pounds. I had thought about stopping at D35, but not sure. I definately play with a pound up & down, them I lose, then play, then lose...BUT, all in all, it has worked out. It can be frustrating, but I had lots of help from these boards, or else I woulda quit at the first semi-stall...lol.

My weekly losses are: Week 1-10.8, Week 2-3.6, Week 3-3.6, Week 4-3.4

When I can see what I am doing weekly, it makes a BIG difference. There is NOTHING else, including Atkins that can net me those losses continuously every week. I think I am gonna stay on R1 longer until I am down to 1-1.5 pounds loss per week. I have gotten into such a pattern of eating, that I don't even really care (YET!) if I go off of P2 right now or not. I don't have any major functions coming up, and I am not hungry, not bored, not craving stuff too bad, (sometimes peanut butter, but it passes)...so why try to fix something that isn't broken.

I am anxious to start exercising again...been a long time...I've had a rotator cuff injury almost a year ago...and on-going heel spur/plantar fasciitis for close to 2 years. I am definately losing everywhere...but I have an extra-large panni(stomach) overhang (from being 411 lbs. at one time...I have approx. 35-40 lbs. of excess skin) that doesn't seem to be shrinking, along with my big thunder thighs...I plan to do the recumbant bike using sprints program to help with the legs toning up.

All in all...I am extremely happy...here's to a great week for all of us

Yeah... Lots of folks starting this week!!

Tiffany... good to see you!!!

My favorite phase 2 foods: chili, sparkling water with flavored stevias, and strawberry ice cream (frozen berries, 1/4 cup water or just enough to blend smooth, stevia of choice... we like vanilla cream or Valencia orange), strawberry lemonaid (frozen berries, juice of one lemon, water and sweetener blend into slushie), AND this round I'm just trying to have a different protein/veggie combo each time I eat... then rotate back through them. It is working GREAT!! Totally not bored this time... yet!! LOL!

I'm using hhcg this round. I have used 3 different hhcg's so far (1 for round 2, a different one for round 2, and now a different one for round 4) and rxhcg (round 3).

I am using liquid hhcg and dosing 10 drops 3 times a day. I've done various levels of drops on all three rounds.. 10 seems to be the magic number this round, very little hunger, mainly at meal times, great energy, and I feel really good over-all. I am exercising this round 6 days a week. I'm switching my workout routine around this week to: M, W, F= weights + 1 aerobic mile (2 miles if I feel the energy), T, Th, Sat = 2 aerobic miles. My aerobic miles are Leslie Sansone walk away the weight videos. I find them to be more intense and a better over all walk routine than just walking 2 miles outside.

I am not weighing so do not have weights to report daily, because during the first week of this round I only lost 5-6 pounds and the scale... "she was bouncing" as our JUDDD friends say. I hit the 150's before chucking the scale and based on my body shape I'm sure I'm still in the 150's somewhere. It was really driving me nutzo so I asked hubby to take the scale to work until I'm ready to weigh for my Last Dose Weight. The first few days after I got rid of the scale I ate some off protocol foods justifying it by the intensity of my work outs and the physical labor needed here on the farm, gardens, house. Now, I'm totally back on track and keeping to VLCD with ease. I will end this round after TOM+ 3 "normal" days of VLCD/hcg, then transition to phase 3. I am seeing fat move and leave and that feels really good. I'm smoothing out in many area's... I really should have measured!! I did measure this morning, so we'll see where I land when I take my last dose in 3 weeks or so. The only area I noticed a loss in inches was my bra line. The other's were up slightly.. basically in the normal range for me when I'm in the 150's I usually see a drop in inches every 10 pounds. I hope to land inch wise where I was the last round or below... hopefully below with the working out.

Have a GREAT week everyone!!

Tiffany.. so sorry, I hope she will be ok... praying for her & you!! Just eat "normal" phase 3 focusing on lots of fat and protein and you shouldn't gain much more. I've known many that REALLY like how they feel the first week by doing 3 load days... so you'll do GREAT friend!!

Hi everyone!

I haven't posted on LCF in ION's!! I was wondering if you would mind if I join your group?

A little about me... I start the HCG diet in February and lost 24 lbs. I have moved through Phase 3 and 4 and re-loaded this past weekend to start my new round. I was pretty depressed this morning after seeing a 7# weight gain! I now wonder if I should have loaded on high fat, low carb foods, but must just move on now. I hope it drops off quickly and then some!

I am doing prescription sublingual HCG this round as well (last round was HHCG), so I am wondering if it will make any difference.

Anyways, it's almost noon and have had 3, 32 oz cups of water and brough chicken with cucumbers + apple for my food today. I will probably have hamburger and asparagus for dinner tonight.

I'm back...trying to get excited instead of feeling defeated on vlcd 1.

I had such a great first round. It was EXCITING! I had great losses. I maintained well in p3 and p4 but then I just gradually went back to what I did before and gained weight back. Not all of it - but probably 10 lbs. I started round 2 and never stuck 100% strictly to it the way I did in round 1. I pretty much just stopped after a couple of weeks. No p3, no p4. I just stopped.

I let a few months go by. I gained more weight. I did the same thing at the start of this year. Started and never managed to be as 100% committed the way I was in my first round and I didn't finish (AGAIN!)

So now - I'm trying for a 4th time (but it would only be my 2nd full round since I just quit on the other 2).

No shock that I'm starting it 2 lbs above where I was on Jan 1st and really sad to say I gained most of my round 1 losses back. (I'm close to my fattest ever)

I don't want to be too sad about it (I am though). I want to be excited to lose again but it's nagging at me that if I lose 20 lbs this round - I'll finish where I ended my very 1st round over a year ago. All I can do is push forward though. I'm just not at all happy with myself. I should have / could have been at my goal ages ago. Losing felt so GOOD. Fitting in smaller clothes was great. I'm baffled that I gave that up (again).

Up 3 pounds (not too bad) after loading really well. I'm hoping for discipline and great losses this round. Not sure where they both went after my 1st round but I want both back! Thanks to anyone who lasted through my really long ramble I'm sure I'll be more upbeat after tomorrow's weigh-in!

sorry for all my postings, I'm just learning how to do this, and that I need to say who I'm writing to. I am so thankful to all you ladies for the support here. I'm on day 6 of vlcd phase 2. I think this is my 4th round. I have gone up and down 20 lbs and my lowest weight was 155. Something scared me when I looked in the mirror at that weight. I thought I looked old, drawn and haggard in the face. My highest weight was on 08-08-08. Today I'm at 170, with no weight loss; yesterday I lost .6 lbs. I'm being extra careful. I read on a website that I need to very careful not to touch the dropper with my tongue cause it contaminates the drops and could make them ineffective. I think I'll open a new bottle.

I'm using HHCG drops. This round I started at 180. My goal is to get back to 155 if possible (15 lbs to go) on this round. I do not exercise right now, but I know I need to do that when I get to phase 4. I am a bit hungry today and I'm drinking lots of water. I had 3 oz chicken and 5 mini tomatoes for lunch, an apple for breakfast and I'll have fish and asparagus for lunch. I put coconut oil on my skin and I think that's causing a stall. I also I had steak for dinner yesterday, very lean filet mignon but I'm stearing away from beef today in the effort to get my weight moving downward. I am studying up on my plan for phase 3 now. I may use some drops that curb appetite when I reach phase 3 cause I'm usually starved for carbs and sugar once I'm off the drops. I don't want to go up and down any more. At least not 20 lbs. I really want to reset my metabolism this time! I did well with maintenance after my first and 2nd round, but not these last 2 rounds. Also I'm drinking ginger tea at my meals to aid in digestion and elimination cause I get constipated. I found smooth move give me cramping. I'm also trying yerba mate tea, and hoping that it will help curb my hungar. I'm excited doing this round. And I must fit back into my summer clothes. We're going to Israel this summer and I'm not buying new clothes.

You WILL drop those 7 pounds super fast!! I do find that I gain less when I focus on fat & protein rather than sugar/starch. BUT... your are VLCDing and you'll shed that weight in no time and start slimming down into new territory!!

First,
Second,

Third... I've had problems after complete rounds gaining back some weight because I've not been willing to live with the food boundaries that work well for me. Remember this is a journey, along the way you will learn much about your self. You will learn what foods trigger binges, what foods are addictive for you, which foods allow you to maintain perfectly, and which foods nourish your body so thoroughly that you don't want to cave into the your old ways of eating. Each victory and each mistake is simply part of the process of change. Each one gets you closer to figuring out you and will lead ultimately to your success in weight loss, health, and long term maintenance.

Your in a GREAT place here for encouragement... I think most of us have made mistakes... and we only remain defeated when we don't pick ourselves up, brush off, and MOVE ON!!!!

WTG... you are in the move on category and we are ALL cheering for you!!!

When you want to respond to someone's post if you look at the bottom right corner you will see a button that says "quote", click on that then you can respond. Or you can quote multiple people like I did in this post by clicking on the button that has the little + sign: click on all the ones you want to comment on with the +, the last one hit the + & the quote then all the passages from others will pop up in your response box. You can then go through each one and comment after the [quote] for each person. :-) You can even delete parts of their post in order to highlight the phrase you want to comment on. Or BOLD the section of their post you want to comment on.

I just finished my workout for the day. I do a total body gym workout and am increasing my intensity this week, plus I did 2 aerobic miles. Concluded my workout with lunch.. a green smoothie (spinach, frozen strawberries, chocolate protein powder and water with chocolate stevia). I still am shocked every time I work out that I have the energy to do so this round. My previous rounds I did not continue with the exercise routines I started in phase 3 or 4 b/c I didn't think I could do it in phase 2.... wish now I had continued... maybe I wouldn't have needed this last round if I had done so..... BUT moving on and feelin' GOOD!!

Off to shower, then finish packaging the 10 pounds of butter I made yesterday... I have 3 gallons of cream to churn but that will wait until tomorrow because tonight is farm deliveries... so I'll be crazy busy come 4:00.

Have a great day your early VLCDer's!! Drink your water and lots of hot tea to keep the hungry bugs away!!! And remember..... tomorrow the scale will show that your first day(s) are SOOO worth it!! AND for the rest of us.... let's keep plugging along... drinking our water... keeping the plumbing going efficiently... and changing up our menu's so we don't get bored!!

Happy reducing everyone!!

I love all the positive encouragement here!

Ladybates, hope your daughter is ok!

I gained 7.4 in loading. That's typical for me.

I am in my first round VLCD5 and am down 6 pounds. So far, my hunger is pretty manageable. I think the harder part is managing the emotional eating, so far so good, but emotional eating is a big part of why I am as overweight as I am. I have been drinking hot tea or a big glass of water when I feel hungry between meals.
I did have a couple social situations over the weekend, but I got through them without any issues.
I am still trying to decide how long I want to do P2. How long was your first round?

On Round 3--VLCD1 today...Between loading and my P4 I'm up 9.8 from my LDW of Round 2. So...It's a starting point.

DH grilled some chicken breasts for me, and I portioned them out, so I have a bunch for the week. Will probably make some chicken chili tomorrow. I'm looking at a long (think extended round) and so far am ready to do this.

112 oz of fluid so far...working a groove into the tile between my desk and my bathroom!
